Well I see plenty of Wii adds especially for Mario Party 8, Super paper mario and now Big Brain Academy. I for one think while they seem a little tacky the commercials are pretty good, it demonstrates how people play it, how the game looks like and shows that the game is presented to new people. The only commercials I'm actually bored of are PS3 commercials, and the dude get your own motto for PSP is corny bad.

I think GoldenPhoenix is right thought, while Perrin made her mistakes, who doesn't she is just human after all. So the good riddance Kaplan thing is a little immature because if you read in a interview she said that she loved her job and she loved the Seattle area.

Should have been buying those remotes over time instead of all at once, heck I have 3 remotes and 2 nunchucks (going to get another pair when I play MP8 with my family)

I agree unless your going to use them immediately get them overtime. Hell I still have only 1 360 controller because almost no game has split-screen since "everyone hates it" so your only options are playing over online and the much expensive and annoying setup, system link. It makes me sad how that is a trend on the 360(and potentially PS3) because it kills the fun of having a get together if only one in the group gets to play.

I think its sad that we can all say is at least Mario Party isn't as generic as Hudson's other party game Fuzion Frenzy.

Well the only thing I think Sony will tout as innovative is the Eye of Judgement, Little Big Planet, Home and PS3's eye toy.

IDK, just a guess.

Well Requiem I have read somewhere on the internet that it said in the European Strikers manual that users will experience high lag if playing a player not from Europe or UK. If I recall correctly Europe is getting its own server for the game so my assumption is that the game has regional servers, so I'll go out on a limb and say that the only reason this game has its own friend code is that because the game doesn't have a global unified server for this game except regional servers.

I personally think the game is way overrated, while it's a good game I don't think its worth a purchase due to how short both games are I beat the games in one rental period which is usually a week from blockbuster (14 days if you stretch it with their no late fees policy). While the gameplay is pretty good Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden are way superior in every category even in the game play category.

So nitsu would you give this a thumbs up for this game? I was interested in the concept but I don't know if I should pick it up or wait if I can find it cheaper (yes I know its an atlus title)

The best quicksave system and suspend systems I ever saw was the Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem series since it saves after ever move and suspend the game by making a suspend point or the L+R+start+select combo.

I like how the company is specifically redoing the DS version from square one since whoever ported it made the product a complete glitchy and buggy piece of garbage.

Agreed with Pro, I think ever since FPS got super mainstream the tactical element was dumbed down/thrown out so  people wont  call it sucky just because its too hard for them.

Nice Metroid comes out a whole month before Halo 3, I wonder if sales wont be as canabalized as MP 2 was since it came out in the middle of Halo 2 and the horrible killzone.

I wonder if Ubisoft can redeem themselves with Brothers in Arms for the Wii, I never tried the series but I have always heard that its pretty good.

Mr. Metts your review is an offer that no NWR'er can not refuse. Not even Ian.  This is one of the best reviews I have read from the site in a while good job!

General Gaming / RE:X-Box Live for Windows

Well if Microsoft offers a nice centralized server for all parties interested to go to the games for Windows route then that will attract a lot of people especially companies who can't really devote a game server or who don't want to use online middle ware such as Gamespy Arcade.

Well Gardner did say that he had a good relationship with Nintendo during his days working at Capcom. But I think its healthy for the industry that they are atleast trying to explore game possibilities with the Wii. Now if only there wasn't a lot of 3rd party shovel ware for the Wii or any other platform.

I just love how the whole idea of the lives works out, Xbox live is like the golden age for Xbox owners; for the PC gamers it is like Games for Windows Live is the biggest flop that was ever incarnated.

I think all this remake BS is square's excuse of not being a active person in the VC,XBLA, PSNetwork.

To say the least this is very interesting. I bet someone like my mom would really like this. I just want to see how EA will flourish this game before I would consider a purchase or something.

No shredder the other posters mean that Japanese refer to people by their last name instead of just like their first name, its a sign of respect to people there such as like how we would say Mr. Hamada if we would refer to your friend out of respect.

Well technically the super type genre metroid falls under IS action so cut him some slack dude. I do know what angle but for some people it takes days to beat zelda, weeks or even months since the good thing about zelda and metroid is steadily paced where there is a lot of optional things to do after the main quest and that in mind you can easily jump back in from your save point. Also this is a nice incentive to give to yourself especially if your in a budget because a lot of people don't get another game until they finish the one they are on.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:HDMI for Wii?????
« on: April 21, 2007, 06:34:36 AM »
I would go out on a limb and say never, the point of HDMI is for high definition content and digital rights management that a lot of movie companies are clamoring about, even if it does support 480i and 480p but it would be wasteful(since your making a bottleneck with the interface itself since the Wii was built to support 480p at most) and plus not a lot of TV owners own a HDTV or a HDTV with a HDMI slot. I think if there was a HDMI port on a Nintendo console it will most likely be on Nintendo's next console as a secondary optional connection since I think component outputs will be popular for a long time.

Ahh Majesco I pass it everyday on the way to school and I knew a few game testers who worked there. I think say what ever you think about game testers but they are one of the best types of people to talk about games in general even the female game testers are pretty knowledgeable about games so it was a nice experience for me to talk to them and boy do they enforce NDA very strongly.
