Nintendo Gaming / RE: GTA for Cube in future?....... quote inside.
« on: September 09, 2003, 08:16:40 AM »
i always thought that VC was basically jsut an expansion (or would have been had it been PC) to GTA, ive played them both and finished them and its just like a standalone addon would be, some tweaks few changes and new missions

32
yea reuters just reported that THQ and Activision both believe their wont be a pricedrop like everyone had hoped
Activsion and EA also think the next-next gen systems wont be out till mid/late 2005-early 2006

AgentSeven i know alot of these things Bill has posted have either been confirmed or talked about by reputable website, i am not debating that (i do my own detective work as you do and also know people in the gaming industry) i was simply stating that rumors (alla the Sonic and Knuckles in Super SMash Bros) are just annoying and EGM posting that was just stupid in my opinion, fake an upcoming game or soemthing, dont get ppl to waste their time.  Blizzard Aprils fools joke the year before was great (Pandarian race in WC3)  as for well informed, id have to agree you do seem pretty well informed but that still doesn't make you right or what your friends here correct.  Unless the guy from Activision states soemthing on an upcoming activision game or something i wouldnt take it to heart fully things get cancelled and stuff to or simply jsut prototypes

I hope you understand i wasn't attacking these supposed rumors as false, just starting that things such as Final Fantasy remakes are annoying and often wrong (since ive heard that one at least 2x before)

haha well then you are a smart gamer (or consumer) GS
most ppl would buy the thing and then just say it sucks and return it purely bc they suck (believe me i work at EB we get that kinda crap all the time) and i respect you for knowing what the hell you like
as for me i love racing games and challenging games, anyone out there an Ikaruga fan?  that game is damn tough if you try to nail all the combos and such

KDR you got a point but still, its not exactly the easiest thing but he also has to know when to use which combo and such
otherwise he simply just knows all the moves and will get destroyed by a good player

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Gamecube on Widescreen TVs
« on: September 09, 2003, 06:10:10 AM »
component means its gonna get a better signal = better quality
a HDTV will probably make the biggest difference out of all the things you asked about
so if you want it look as best as possible get a widescreen htv with component
like griffin said alot of games come widescreen or with a widescreen mode now (such as eternal darkness, Dennis Dyack is the American Miyamoto...)

i need to find an arcade with some good compeition and such around here, not to mention fzero also hehe

just because its published on iGN and Gamespy doesnt make it true, they speculate alot as do most of the gaming websites
and rumors are more often than not wrong and just about everyone heard about the GTA on Xbox rumors
i am with nolimit19 on this one
i hate rumors, unless i get hard evidence i normally just think of it as that, a rumor that might and most likely isnt accurate (if not completly wrong)

well after playing the game for a week+ and getting into the weapon challenege ive decided that im really liking the games (as i expected) but i am still playing fzero of course (and also finishing up some old games) but i can really get addicted to this...what are your guys thoughts?  Link is awesome quick and agile but still gotta love the normal guys.  Anyways anyone know of any good hardcore SC forum or fighting game forum in general? Shoryuken is where i normally go but thought there might be other places.

Nintendo has still yet to announce the new lineup, they just updated it on their site.  Im sure with the new PS2 bundle and expected pricedrops that Nintendo will probably do some wierd package deal again instead of dropping their price, but who knows, they do lots of wierd things.
