Nintendo Gaming / RE: Wow! Over the Hedge = Gorgeous!

How can those character mdoels not impress you?! Plus, two fully 3D screens at the same time at 30fps?

That's an amazing technical acheivement...

It's based off a movie...it has to look like the movie. Look at those character models!

And it's running at a constant 30fps with full 3D on BOTH screens!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: No original Rare games on the Virtual Console?
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:33:49 PM »
I've always thought that Nintendo owned Banjo 1 & 2 the games, but Rare owned the characters/properties/brand. Goldeneye I believe was a Nintendo published game as well, meaning it'd belong to all three.

Conker and PD are definitely Rare.

The idea has come up here before, I believe.

Indeed, I must have been confusing 3 feet with line 5, etc.

Hardly, that first one of his is an abomination. The second one is better but awkward and the one directly above this is even worse!

Something here's terribly wrong,
Your lines are too short or too long,
Try reading out loud,
In front of a crowd,
And hopefully then they'll be strong.

Oh, I agree they're terrible, but the lines are the right length.  There's a lot of leeway in limerick writing, but generally, the a lines should be three feet of three syllables, and the b lines should be two feet of three syllables.  Usually, the stress is on the middle syllable of each foot, but it can be on the last, too.  It's also acceptable to drop either the leading or ending weak syllable on a line, as you demonstrated.

It can be difficult to tell which syllables are meant to be stressed when reading a limerick, and that's probably the biggest reason my own don't sound off to me, but they do to you.

keep post on topic
write a haiku in it, too
even though it sucks.

See, there's your problem, it's actually 5 for lines a,b and e, and 3 for lines c and d.

The only real losses are Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, and I guess a Banjo game. Rare's best work besides its two-FPS isn't on the 64 (regardless of bloated Banjo comments from some people).

That wasn't a screw-up, they just didn't have enough factories. Building new factories isn't something you can just do.

I thought you had it, PGC's first successful limerick (excluding my own) but then the syllables are a bit off. Try:

There once was a man from LaLulu,
Who everyone thought was quite cuckoo.
He liked little boys,
So he trapped 'em with toys,
And insisted they call him Sir Vudu.

There once was a man from Japan
Who went to a faraway land,
He dropped a few names
When describing his games
And everyone thought he was grand.

I really don't get why you'd have to move your arm, it would get very tiring. Why not just point up? I highly doubt we see any games that require constant moving of the entire arm.

Zelda games made during the same period:

Majora's Mask + Oracles
Wink Waker + Minish Cap
Twilight Princess + Minish Cap

Are you just stupid?
