Nintendo Gaming / SMA4 looks FUNKED UP!
« on: May 14, 2003, 05:36:14 PM »
Dude, seriously, Super Mario Advance 4 looks very funky... in a good way. Going through the levels of Super Mario Bros 3, with powers and enemies from Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 2... not to mention downloadable levels from the ereader...

I guess this is why it took so long to get SMB3 to the GBA... they wanted to give probably the most beloved Mario sidescroller the most royal treatment of them all... this is one remake I'll be getting.

Nintendo Gaming / New in-store demo disk.
« on: April 29, 2003, 01:14:04 PM »
The Gamecube Demo Disk Version 10 arrived in my store today, though it's really nothing to get too excited about. It only has two playable demos; Zelda, which keeps the Dungeon and Stealth levels from the previous disc and adds a new "Island" level, and Lost Kingdoms II. Movies include Zelda, Ikunagurabana... (Treasure's shooting game, however you spell it), a new Wario World movie, Top Hitz (from the Zelda bonus disc), P.N.03, MBL Slugfest and GBA SP.
Has Nintendo even considered to start putting more than two games on demo discs? I remember the disc that came out in Feburary last year had five different demos on it, but since then, we've only had two games on each disc... well, at least we'll be getting the cooler demo disc next month...

Nintendo Gaming / If you missed out on the Zelda bonus disc...

... you should be checking out the used games shops. I was just in GameStop today, and they had the bonus disc on sale for $19.95. Even though I thought that was a bit expensive for what is in essense a free demo disc, it's much cheaper than those guys on eBay selling them for upwards of $70...

Nintendo Gaming / WW Link Bobblehead?
« on: March 13, 2003, 03:45:54 PM »
Okay, I read Rick's report on visiting the Nintendo production facility, and it was good and all, but the second to last picture on the last page caught my eye. In the glass case he took a photo of, there was...a Wind Waker Link bobble head! Are those on the market yet? Has anyone seen them for sale anywhere? Having my Samus bobblehead and a Link bobblehead on each side of my cube would look so sweet...

According to IGN Pocket Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will be compatable with the E-reader and will each include a special card they can swipe to play a certain battle with another trainer... now, if Nintendo can do this for battles, who's to say they wouldn't distribute certain POKEMON on E-cards. This may be the way we can unlock the older Pokemon that aren't immediately available on Ruby and SapphireAnd not just unlocking them... the data on the cards could give Pokemon pre-dertermined moves they wouldn't naturally have... such as a Pikachu that uses Surf, for instance.
What do you think?

General Chat / Women are making out in the Forums, and that's OK by me!

Seriously though, have you seen that UGO Valentine's Day banner that's splayed on top of the forums? Not that I particularly MIND, but I'm sure there are some impressionable little ones that drop by here too...

Nintendo Gaming / Ocarina/Master Quest available separately?
« on: February 07, 2003, 05:47:44 PM »
I was cruising through Amazon.com, checking out the Wind Waker, when THIS caught my eye...
It looks as if you could actually purchase the bonus disc separately rather than get it free with Wind Waker (though I don't understand WHY you would do that...), though it looks like it costs $10 MORE than Wind Waker.
Just something odd I'd like to pass along. I really need to get off my rear and pre-order Wind Waker soon...

Nintendo Gaming / For those disappointed by Joyride's Samus figure...
« on: February 06, 2003, 04:42:54 PM »
Should seek out Toysite's Metroid Prime bobblehead figure. It's about ten inches tall, and it looks exactly like Samus from Prime. Don't let the bobblehead fool you, it's exact in proportion; it's more of a 'bobbletorso'... once you see it you'll understand. I found it at GameStop and Software Etc. so if you're looking for a sweet looking Samus to put next to your cube, this is it.
