TalkBack / RE:GC Controllers Won't Work on Rev Games

But, as the original newspost suggested, Nintendo might be trying to force Revmote functionality down every Rev game's throat.

They want to force it down developers' throats because otherwise we'll just see graphically inferior ports of games that don't use any of the Rev's features. Or they want to enforce consistency and make sure devs won't have to fear penalties inrevies if they choose not to support GC controllers in their games.

You are absolutely right on point. Now I understand. Thanks thats helps me understand the logic behind this move. Maybe somebody can answer this ? Why do people say the GameCube controller wont work for N64 games. Can't the C-stick replace the c-buttons. No expert am I but I can't fathom one N64 game where you have to press any 3 C-buttons at once or any two that are opposite of each other. Help me out on this one.

Whoa...really Resident Evil 4 should be up for GOTG(generation), with that being said, God of War is really really good. I don't think it should be marginalized by the fact that RE4 is better.

I was wrong.

I understand why you can't use the GameCube controllers for the Rev.  I also disagree that this is a smart move. I think it places unnecessary limitations on the REV and its Backwards compatibility. Until we see the Revolution, the "shell" and some games then this seems like a so-so move at best.

I bet you .57cents that Ian thinks this is a smart move.

At first I thought it was the sequal to Aeon Flux and I'm saying to myself, "My God have we learned nothing." Then I thought this has a little more style and snap to it but still looks cheese.  When did the white american female become the action hero staple?  Not that its something wrong with, it just seems there are more movies trying for the spot of The Long Kiss Goodnight.

(Gena Davis is my secrect lover.)

It will be interesting to see what kind of shells Nintendo is going to offer.  Will they release shells that look like current or past controllers or will they take it a step futher and improve on the existing design they already have?

I don't know that the "shell" will contrtol GameCube games.  I thought that was the point of the ports on the side for GC controllers.

Would it be smart to Re-lease the WaveBird in the colors of the Revolution? My cube is hooked up to my iMac and a Pearl White 'Bird would be so Stevey.

If they give me some information on Twilight Princess, they don't have to say anything about Revolution until June for all I care.

Did he just say "blow thier entire load in his face?" I will say wow.

Seems to me that Nintendo os trying to connect the dots between the Rev and the DS. Bet a dollar you'll be able to control certain Rev games with the DS. Further, watch Nintendo design a Rev to DS docking station for downloads and stuff, although they're both Wi-Fi so I guess thats not needed.

I like the design. I can trade my Ds in now and put it toward a...cough, um nevermind. I'll keep my dirty lil secret.

"I think as far as graphics and processing go it will be like this. Superman(ps3, xbox 360) is all about strength and power and could defeat any villian. Batman on the other hand is tactical. He solves the problem his own way."

Didn't Batman kick the boyscouts' ass the last time they fought?

24 is televison Crack.  Jack Bauer is the greatest action hero ever and this season is shaping up to be another great day, well sorta. When they said the first 10minutes would shock you I was like blah blah blah, but when "that" happened I was like  "oh shat" I never saw that coming. I used to think I was addicted to Lost but now I remember what tv is all about, "24". Lost is still really good too.
