TalkBack / RE: IMPRESSIONS: Excite Truck
« on: November 11, 2006, 03:21:45 PM »
Two Player mode is a lot of fun. unfortunately it is only for two players (like, no cpu cars or anything). But as long as one of the opponents isn't horrible at the game it's fun. The moving enviroments add a lot of value to it and the different cars actually do control differently. This is one of those deals where after playing this for a lot of hours you honestly wouldn't want to drive with a normal controller again. It helps to unlock a lot of stuff.

I agree completely about excite truck. It is what it is. Just a racing game with new controls. It's something I'll probably pick up when it's $20 not too far down the road. stickwith burnout 3.
My gamestop is taking people's money. mainly because we're a high crime store. car keys and liscences aren't enough.

you're gettin way to into this bub. perhaps that moon planet is. . . .a moon. I'm just sayin. it could be. more important is the fact that gameplay looks to not be changing all that much. and the stages look awesome, and they break and stuff. and pit has a tripple jump.

TalkBack / RE:Wii and Virtual Console Launch Line-Up Revealed
« on: October 31, 2006, 06:35:44 PM »
the entire launch window looks like nintendo is doing all they can to take a backseat to third parties. It pretty much insures that anyone buying something other than zelda will get a third party game.not a horrible idea. same with the VC. companies see that sega and hudson games are selling and they'll jump on board too, which is all too good for nintendo. nintendo titles are going to sell whenever they come out.

TalkBack / RE:RUMORS: GameStop-Exclusive Demos and C64 on VC?
« on: October 03, 2006, 03:07:18 AM »
The way nintendo told it to us it sounded like they want to put their systems in other stores but can't for now. Some of it is logistics and other is the experiance. But as far as I know We're going to be the only store to have them for this holiday season. Wal-mart and them WILL get them next year.

$250 really isn't that high. People that don't live on the internet seem to be enjoying it.

TalkBack / RE: Take Two to Develop for Wii
« on: June 11, 2006, 12:04:56 PM »
The hurricanes are gonna win the series regardless of who's in net for canada. 2k developing for wii is nothing but good. having the 2k sports series will make it seem like more a viable console to the mainsream audiance which will bring more third parties to wii. Cube's third party decline didn't go into full swing until 2ksports pulled off of the system.

wii is in widescreen 480 and cube is just progressive.  that's the difference as far as I know.

goodness wow.  little bein a little harsh are we guys? I like impressions being honest, makes them fell more. . .honest y'know? this just justifies me gettin it on cube is all. even though I'm buyin wii at launch I've never been a fan of port 'em ups.

ps3 controller can only do kirby's tilt 'n tumble. Wiimote has do depth perception. that's the simple difference.

TalkBack / RE: Mega Man on Wii?
« on: May 16, 2006, 07:42:16 PM »
The Zero series is nothing short of amazing. MMPowered up sold horribly, and that's a shame cause it's a good game. What inafune is trying to say (and I'm fairly certain I'mright cause after reading his interviews for years I do know for a fact that the man should've quit english before he started) is that people blowing $300 on a handheld and $700 on a console want insane 3D graphics and high polygon counts. They're not interested in 2D sidescrollers, or anything 2D for that matter. Megaman is best played in two dimensions. SNK already said that wii is the only console to consider for making 2D games, capcom will probably follow suit, which is good.

This right now is my most anticipated DS game. A lot of the power ups I'v seen look like they come from the zero series.  I noticed the bad guys from the first game's power ups in there. Aiel was definitely rockin a leviathon suit in one part of capcom's trailer.

TalkBack / RE: Sony Tries to Ape Nintendo, Fails
« on: May 09, 2006, 02:52:14 AM »
this announcement would've effectively pitched microsoft out of this race, unfortunately their price tag axed that idea out. also, as bad as PS3 is looking so far to us it'll sell out everywhere on name recognition.  The only thing that could inhibit ps3 is it's reliance on HD. who is going to watch blu-ray movies at 480p? no one with a brain that's who. the long term succes of the console has less to do with the controller and more to do with the new dvd format war.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Pre-order?
« on: April 29, 2006, 05:09:48 PM »
I'll get mine at gamestop. They'll be taking preorders as soon as they get a price, release date, and are sure of how many they'll get.  They got burned by 360 and won't be taking that chance again (or so they say).  That and I get a 15% discount on all of the games and stuff I buy from them for working at barnes and noble.
