I did a review on it some time ago, so check our hardware section for it. About losing save files: This really isn't an issue if you're careful. The GBA GameShark allows you to transfer your save files to your PC. I HIGHLY recommend that you save to your PC before entering any codes. Then, have a blast screwing with the game, but realize that it doesn't stay fun for long and saved changes will stick until you rewrite the cartridge from your PC file.

Great discussion here.
I for one am excited about LAN gaming. Even if you don't have a ton of people over, you can at least play two-player games full screen. For me it's as easy as running a wire to my housemate's room across the hall since he has a GC of his own. Yes. Fun times WILL be had.
Personally, I don't care about online play unless I'm with people I know and have a headset to talk with them. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Nintendo will be doing much of anything online this generation, but I can certainly see their reasons why. They've been experimenting with online gaming for a long time now - NES, 64DD, GameBoy - and if they aren't satisfied with the results, then that's their decision.

Heh...I hope you mean PlanetN2000. Some of the staff were involved in N64 HQ, but PGC itself only goes back four years even with name changes. Anyways, I started reading the site back when Justin closed down and merged OPN2000. I was invited to come on staff back in January 2002.

Hmmm...actually, that may just be the case. Since it's been confirmed that there are Pokedex entries for all the previous characters, we know they have to be unlocked somehow. It would be perfectly conceivable for a new Pokemon Stadium game to allow you to transfer Pokemon from R/B/Y/G/S/C to a GC Box and then to Ruby/Sapphire. Very interesting conjecture.
