Just bought a buncha games at <$1 each from the Playstation Store flash sale. Thank goodness you can buy any game right from the web version of the store or I would have missed it.
Um, when's Nintendo gonna get this feature? Predictions? Sometime this decade, maybe?
There's also this one, arguing that NewsRadio was the best sitcom of the 1990s, albeit with the somewhat dubious argument that The Simpsons didn't count as a sitcom.
What I really want to see, and have been hoping for this for a few years now, isn't so much a new awesome region with new awesome pokemon but a game that incorporates ALL the regions. Gold and Silver were my favorite games mostly because you could go to Kanto and back to Johto. it was such a big game and so much to do and a lot more intrigue because of it.
what they could do is set it up where the player gets to choose which region they start off in, choose the starters associated with that region of course and then proceed through a different set up game than if you started out in a different region. Now, instead of beating the pokemon league and THEN being able to travel to other regions like in Gen 2, instead have a story (that makes sense) that takes the player throughout all the regions in a hunt, or a quest or whatever having to do with one of the gangs, be it Team Rocket, Plasma, Galaxy, Aqua/Magma, Flare or whatever. AND instead of having a regional pokemon league to beat, how about a national league and it's not a strict progression through each regions gyms, but rather through a series of gyms spread out over the nation. That way it doesn't feel like you're just playing the game to get to the other regions, the other regions are intricately involved with the entirety of the game.
Honestly if they don't release a game with the all region feature eventually, i'll be surprised.
It is a throw back to the old school NES days. Games used to be like that and we ate them up. Ever tried beating original Legend of Zelda NES without a walk through or going on line first? Having to figure things out makes solving the puzzle more rewarding, games today just hold your hand and give you infinite re-tries until you get to the final cut scene because the story is more important than the actual game.
Here's my problem with that mindset: it's not the 1980s anymore.
That sums up everything wrong with the world. The game has issues but it is a fun waste of time. It's okay if you don't like it though, because I did and that is all that matters to me. Stay cool my friend.
I am not knocking marriages I am sure it is great for those who can make it work. I just am single, enjoy being single, and know too may divorced people to really think marriage is as great as they make it out to be.
So in other words... You are knocking marriages?
The Terminator goes Commando and kills a Predator while undercover as a Kindergarten teaching Cop.
That's not even mentioning him being 1 half of a set of Twins, which gives me a Total Recall to the True Lies of him being The Last Action Hero that likes to drink T 2.
now how many of those are 30+ years old man? Come on if you are going play try harder than that.
Terminator = '87
Commando = '85
Kindergarten Cop = '90
Twins = '88
Total Recall = '90
True Lies = '94
The Last Action Hero = '93
they're all before your time (21-30yrs ago), and that's good enough for me.
Put some time into this game last night, and the game overall just makes me shrug in indifference. The game seems to have almost no signposting, giving you no idea where you're meant to go to continue the quest. You collect items, but you're given no idea what they're used for (such as the "Ancient Key", which opened a door eventually but it took me trying 5 different locked doors in 3 different locations before I found the door it belonged to). I've also run into some weird bugs where you can teleport across the map if you exit a screen by falling into the screen's edge instead of walking through it. The game's OK, but I don't get the praise for this one.
Given Nintendo's place in consoles, re-releasing the Gamecube would result in worse sales than the Virtual Boy.
And deservedly so.
****!!!
I spelt it wrong! oops!

T1 is awesome.
T3 was pretty forgettable. At the time it stood out simply because it was a very 90's style R-rated action movie made in the 00's. After Columbine it was like action movies were dead. No one seemed to be making them so when T3 came out I was like "YEAH! Haven't seen a movie like this for a while." But that novelty wore off and I have no interest in seeing the film again. It's like the Expendables. Fun for a quick return to action movies of old but not a good movie and not one that compares well to the classics of the 80's and 90's.
I haven't seen T4. It's PG-13. REAL action movies are rated R.
Sounds like you would LOVE the SNES if you get a chance to pick out some of the gems. Don't limit yourself to Virtual Console though the real gems are nowhere to be found on that service. While I do love VC and am totally addicted to it, there are far too many great games lacking on the service.Yeah, I have been contemplating picking up a Super Famicom while I'm here in Japan, I feel like it would be a rite of passage as a Nintendo fan. But I'm sure it would end up very costly for me in the long run (the games, not the hardware, which I've found for surprisingly cheap). I don't want to go the route of emulation, though. I mean, free emulation. It's a personal preference and one that I get a lot of flak for, but I stand by it.
Steam is a good place to grab some 16 but Sega classics, especially the Streets of Rage, Sonic, Golden Axe games those are all great. I also strongly encourage people to check out stuff like Toe Jam and Earl 1 and 2 I prefer two but most prefer one, they are both good in their own ways.
