If you go by comic continuity, Scott has had his powers held in before. And he is immune to his own, just as he is immune to his brother's powers.

If you noticed when they were kissing, their was a draining like effect from Scott to Jean, looked similar to what Rogue does. What that was inferring, I'm not sure, but most certainly he did not pop due to his powers.

But since the effect on the professor was also used on soldiers and other mutants I'd say the best bet was Scott was oblitertated. The second best assumption would be Scott was sparred somehow. Though the actor won't be back unless Bryan Singer hops back on board.

Hey! I live on the Moon and we need the Wii like everyone else. The Atari is only popular around here cause its where all those damn ET carts were dumped.

It would have been funnier if he did this one first.

I saw the title of the topic and thought "Naw, they couldn't be talkin' about that song"

But I was wrong. I've had the album this song is on for like ten years. Fortunately I didn't pay for it, as I worked for a music store and it was a promo.

Its the best song on the album and its great to see something just as fun come from it.

Ok, so I checked out the dude's site and listened to the video. I think its a joke, and he says stuff just to fluff the feathers. Anyone who truly believes what he says wouldn't be smart enough to turn on a video camera.

I signed up for the forum just to see if people were talking about the video, and they are.

If he is a Sony fanboy, Sony can have him. If he's trying to be funny, he needs more practice.

Back in the day, you could play games stored on cassettes, as well as 5 1/2" disks. The cassettes looked like regular music tapes, and the computer controlled the playing of the tape. Not sure of the systems available then, Commadore, Amiga maybe.

I had a thought enter my head about a game I think was discussed about being moved to the Wii, and it has since dropped from the radar. I'm betting that Pennant Chase which was supposedly coming along fine for the GC and was cancelled without much reason will be at E3. Maybe there are people here who haven't forgotten about it, but its been a while since I've seen it brought up in the forum. I think the game is a natural for the system.

So I went looking to see if Hawaii was an English word (because I'm a geek), and came across another meaning for "ii"

Quote

Though Captain James Cook called the islands that he discovered in 1778 the Sandwich islands, this honor to the Earl of Sandwich would be short-lived. King Kamehameha I united the islands under his rule by 1819 as the Kingdom of Hawaii.

A couple of theories exist on the origin of the name Hawaii. One theory has it that the name comes from a combination of the words "Hawa" and "ii" and means a small or new homeland; "Hawa" meaning a traditional homeland and "ii" meaning small and raging. The other theory is that the name comes from the traditional discoverer of the islands, Hawaii Loa.

Commonly, any acceleration that results in a negative is referred to as decelerating.

Is it Madden PS2 or PS2 Madden?
Is it Madden XBox or XBox Madden?
Will it be Madden Wii or Wii Madden? LOL @ Wii Madden. Its like an Irishman saying "Lets play with the wee Madden"

Technically, acceleration is a change in movement. Something can be traveling at 100 MPH yet not be accelerating because its speed is constant. Though it will accelerate if the speed is constant but it goes down a curved path. And an object is accelerating if its speed drops from 100 MPH to 90 MPH. Just had to get that out. . .

I'm thinking this will be my first Madden title too. Can't wait for E3 to see how this plays.

I just held my arms in what could be a typical position to hold the revmote and nunchuk, and what it really felt like was driving a stick shift. Perhaps this will enable the first driving game where I choose to play manual shift instead of auto. Could be sweet for all of the mentioned possibilities.

Just do a search for "Star Wars Kid" on YouTube and you'll get a bunch of different edits. Some are dumb, some are funny.

I've must've been under a rock, since I'm clueless to what you're talking about...

The Star Wars kid was some kid who was fooling around in front of his school's video camera with a broom stick, pretending it was a light saber or something. He didn't rewind and it ended up on the web. Bring in someone who edits video and he now truly has a light saber, complete with sound effects and laser blasts.

The newly edited video brought tons of fame, money, and embarrassment for the guy. He could have milked it, but decided to have his mom tell everyone to leave him alone.

So imagine that happening to the winner of this contest.

The website says this game is slated for a 2007 release. I bet we won't even see it at E3. If its there, not playable. I give it a year or more for release.

Black and white graphics will make it unique and easily recognizable. On the plus side, black and white graphics are smaller in file size so more detail can be preserved in the textures.

I hope this game pans out. The premise is interesting.

I see where Ian is coming from and it causes concern for me as well. Its not that the controller should do certain actions just because it can, it should make what needs to be done better than what can currently be done. The drawing shapes in the air is cool by me as long as it can be more than what you can do with a controller, say draw an 'X' then pull the controller close to you, point it straight forward, then push out. That could be mimicked on screen and be immersive. But shaking and nodding to answer is just a bit silly. Now, say pushing the buttons will perform other actions while you have the choice to answer, that would be better.

I would say the possibility of it being on rails is still there. The attachment could be used for ducking left, right or straight down.

While I'm /sure/ you can hold your arm lower and sit, I get this funny image in my head of the screen character holding the gun at waist level.

But this is a great find. We're going to see the resurection of gun games.

Normally, DSL has a limit of 3 'cable' miles. I live less than 3 miles from the CO, but I wasn't able to get it. The reason is the longer the cable, the greater the resistance to the signal. So, someone living next door to the CO will have awesome access while the person at the end of the line will have some speed issues.

Repeaters can be placed on the line, but for some reason US companies have been resistant to the idea, while in Europe its supposedly common place (never been there, only what I heard).

Alot of places are now getting Internet access through electric lines. Not as fast as cable or DSL, but faster than dialup. And someday soon WiMax will be popping up all over the place. Its only a matter of a few years before anyone who wants fast internet will get it.

My buddy Gamestop manager brought the wallpaper in to the store, said he had people wanting to reserve it right there on the spot.  He was surprised at how many people just never assumed it was a prank.

The website has been pretty busy these past days, with a number of websites linking to it. And all of the search engines have indexed it, returning search results. I'm surprised at how quickly things haved moved with it.

The only thing I think we could/should have done was create a false press release to send to the major websites. I could have easily made it look like it came from Capcom's or Konami's web address.

The logo looks like it was taken from the GBA or something. Though it is lacking in detail.
