The US release seems to have quite a cast, going the same route as the other Ghibli US releases. Having Disney on your back is a good thing.

I don't know about this title though. It seems to be more like Kiki's Delivery and less like Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away. I'm going to rent before I make a purchase.

My ex-wife bought me The Dark Knight Returns statue for our anniversary (while we were still together, duh). Its totally awesome to have someone who knows just how to make a purchase for you that you'll love but couldn't really ask to get.

Also, when I make classic game purchases, I only jump on those that still have the manual and box. If I can be bothered enough to keep that stuff, so can other people. Kids excluded.

Morgan at G4 kinda tore into the game. Do they have legitimate concerns over the sword fighting and the consequences of getting caught while sneaking around (both of which result in a flury of leaves and smoke and you reappear at the beginning of the stage)? Their review was definately more down than the IGN review, who didn't make mention of the leaves at all (that I can remember). Is G4 being sensationalist?

I've known some emotional people in my life. Not bad people, just when things get to a point, they explode instead of letting it out in a constructive manner. Being an actor, having a deeper connection with your emotions could be a good thing. I'm not saying what he did is right, just he needs to find a better outlet of his hostility.

Since this happened during a time that he was arrested for being abusive torwards his family, there may have been something else going on in his life that we don't know about. There hasn't been any other reported outbursts since so maybe he's worked it out.

I understand and I thought about that point, Ian. But companies need to move on. Is the lack of playing one game in a series going to stop you from playing the next? If its well done, no. They'll have the fans of the original plus people who who are curious about the franchise thanks to knowing about the other game.

I think it was a mistake for Silicon Knights to have remade Metal Gear on the Gamecube. And look how it sold. Imagine if it was a true game next in the line of the story. I bet it would have done alot better. But then there is the Resident Evil series on the GC. Well, I bet RE4 sold better than REmake, though REmake was a special case since it got a big overhaul.

Anyway, I see your point but I think it would be a waste of time and everyone would be better served with a whole new entry in the series.

Yes, the co-op screens are horrendous. Its probably the sacrifice they had to make to keep the graphics up to par.

Halbred, do you know that you can switch weapons with the d-pad? In fact, the pop-up screen kinda mimics the d-pad. If placed in the right spot, you can have Chris run around with a box of ammo in his hand. Yeah, its as fun as it sounds. The most use I made of the storage is giving ammo to the other character. Which is a pain because you have to be right next to him/her. But it makes sense, doesn't it?

Without experiencing the meteor shower you won't be getting the whole picture. Just fyi. And I won't say any more about it lest I spoil it for someone.

IGN gives a score of 8.0. I thought it was an informative review.

Ahh, too many games. Deadly Creatures, House of the Dead, Tenchu 4, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, MadWorld, ... (any others?)

What to buy what to buy. Good thing Conduit is in June.

Where are my icepicks to stab out my eyes?

Oh, I don't even know what you look like.... You might be decent looking naked.

Wait, we're game players and Kairon is one of the more prolific ones...

Damn, I need those icepicks.

Once EA aleviates my fears I'll be running naked across the football field next to you Kairon.

That's exactly what I'm saying Ian. I want to see a complete story brought to the Wii. Not a 'spin-off' (Dead Space Carnival), but not a rehash of the current game where the art and geometry of the original is down-graded to fit on the Wii either. The Wii should get Dead Space 2, or Dead Space 0, whatever.

And I love the risk that's being taken with Overlord Wii. Too bad I never finished Pikmin, or even Warcraft II. Maybe I need nasty talking demons to keep me playing the genre.

EasyCure - I did play the game on the 360. Which is another reason I want to see a new Dead Space and not a port. Why do I want to play this on the Wii when I could play it on the 360? Just like Dead Rising. Are the controls enough for me to want to play it on the Wii and ignore the 360 one? Or should I get both and just ignore the shortcomings of the Wii one? Not easily done after seeing what can be done thanks to the Conduit.

I was hoping they'd bring the franchise over, but I was also hoping for a different story line and not a rehash. Ok, its nothing confirmed other than a blip in a conference call, but I can totally see EA taking as many shortcuts as they can for th efirst release then start improving with each new one beyond. Just look at the Tiger Woods games.

RE5 is a vehicle Capcom is using to hop on the Co-op train. I do not think there are going to be escort missions because they won't really translate well when two people are playing together. Shiva answers the question of how is there another player when other games that allow co-op don't acknowledge the mechanic during the story points.

By the look of the screen shots, those specs need some anti-aliasing as well. But now just waiting to see the game in motion.

You know what, its not a 'unihorn', its a 'unicorn'.

Yes, I love my huge corn. It makes life much easier. I plow right through the snow, plus I always know what the weather is going to be like.

We got 12 inches last week and I went out and shoveled my driveway. Now I have 4 ft mounds surrounding my drive. If I was 12 I would have loved digging tunels through all that snow.

The first part of the trailer rubbed me off the wrong way thanks to the music.

I suggest you watch and listen over and over until you realize how awesome that music is.

*barf*

I disagree. That music had me going 'WTF? Is this a fan made trailer?'

I do agree with Pale and that Tree scene is awesome. Makes me marvel at what would be possible with that. And how long can something be held until it has to be released? Long enough for his aim to be completed at least. Ugh, gotta make a super hero that can do that...

My first post is from 6 years ago and pretty lame. The next was a year later. I think it took a while for me to feel comfortable with posting my two cents in with people I didn't know.

Resident Evil is dead to me. This is not Resident Evil.

No more puzzles, over-emphasis on shooting, and not scary in the least. RE4 still held some of the RE staples, but this game has seemingly abandoned all of them. No thanks, Gears of Evil.

Now, there are jewels that are collected to indicate that those puzzles are still around. Just this demo is not focused on it. This demo may be playing the audience, saying 'Look its a shooter' when the full game is 'Look its RE4 with new skin. Fooled You!'

It took a couple of tries but I think I've come to terms with this game. Its enjoyable and I look forward to seeing how the full game gets fleshed out.

Yes, I was excited to hear this news. I may actually pick the game up now. I'm not sure which version to get though. Probably on the 360 since I know more people there.
