I've been in two Nintendo launch lines. Gamecube and Wii. Well, Wii was more of a 'We have Wii in stock but you have to wait until 8am to buy it' line. Still, I was the line for the GC. And there were mainly moms and grandmas in the Wii line with maybe two others who were actually buying it for themselves.

Yeah, my lines have been pretty civil :) (And bor-ing)

If dinosaurs were around as man was getting around, you can bet we would have killed them, at least the dangerous ones. Just like the saber toothed tiger.

I love how we have little information on  these creatures of the past. The joy is in discovering new things and understanding how all of the components of the past fit together.

I think its more of driving by a building under construction and the sign by the road says 'Taco Bell', and you start salvating at the idea of having some tacos. But when the place opens and you rush inside, the menu is nothing but variations of the taco salad. No tacos. No burritos. And the only drink is milk.

The trouble is the grocery store next door already has taco salad and milk in their deli. And the same with the drive-thru next to that. And so on.

Is Dead Space a taco salad? Yes, but with bacon bits sprinkled on top. Would I rather a double cheeseburger with bacon strips? Hell yeah!

LOL at Stogi trying to be the class clown.

I watched the Nova show that went over the arguments of evolution or 'intelligent design'. We don't have to get into the specifics of the show (even though I know that GP would love to), but I found the episode very enlightening. It opened with a couple of paleontologists in Northern Canada who discovered a half fish, half salamandar creature. It was too late to help the trial in Penn, but it shows how much there is left to find. The creature was found exactly where it was expected to be found, too.

I also re-watched the show this week about the dino-bird with 'wings' on its feet. They were using the wind tunnel at MIT to discern how the creature used its hind feathers. Turns out that its a glider like flying squirels, climbing to the top of trees and jumping to the next tree. It used the leg warmers to catch the air behind it, then brought its legs forward to slow and make a landing.

I love this stuff. I wish this and space related topics was all Nova aired since I don't have the Science Channel.

This topic spurred me to write to Pepsi and ask for Mountain Dew in a bottle.

They wrote back saying its up the local bottling companies. And 99.99% of them are using plastic that meets some environmental concerns. Blah blah blah. If Coke can do it, so can others.

He's sporting the Japanese man-girl Cloud style of hair, only the wrong color. And not long enough. That or some stuupid EMO rock band.

There is also a new character to play as. I'm imagining the co-op is going to use both at once as opposed to the World at War 'co-op - girlfriend mode'.

I don't know yet. The trailer looks good, but part of the charm of these games is wandering at your own pace and setting off the scares unintentially. Here this game is going to force them on you. Could be good, could be bad. As long as it looks good and plays better I couldn't really complain. Though I still want a good 3rd person shooter to follow up on RE4.

I think fountain drinks can be a bit too sweet, or too watered down. Sometimes its good, just not consistent.

I'm dying for some Mountain Dew in a glass bottle. I haven't had some since the early 90's. Anyone have some?

Canned is better than plastic as you can taste the plastic. Though the can has its funny taste too.

I tried to go back to the original game. The blurry textures and polygon clipping really take its toll after getting used to today's graphics. The PC may be better, which I'm sure is where GP will play it.

I am so looking forward to this game, and the multipayer modes sound awesome too.

Just turn the blood color to 'white'.

Dude, thanks for the 411. I'll have to try that.

I sear I was losing life by doing the '1' and swing. I did it a few times and bam I was down to one little bar.

I don't know. I would say that on the harder difficulties you would have to plan your attack on a mob of zombies. You have some evade moves that need to be gotten used to, not as easy to pull off as in PN03, but the foundation is there.

That and if you stand still in both games they move to the same beat ;)

1517
yeah yeah whatever. geesh. :P

Ok, so Blockbuster got this game, but not House of the Dead Overkill. WTF? Idiots. So I rented this instead.

Its not bad. Not really good, but not bad. Boob physics are not as good as Bloody Roar's, they bounce forward instead of up and down. Its funny though.

Almost everything works, controls, graphics, the instructions on how to do moves are just screens with text, camera can suck sometimes. You have to be looking directly at a zombie to target it. You can be standing right next to one but if you are not staring at its rotten corpse you will not lock on.

If you want a fun rental, give it a shot. If you can find it for $20, go for it. Its like PN05, just replace guns and robots with swords and zombies.

Some tips: If you get too much gore on your sword, it looses its effectiveness and gets stuck in the zombies. If you use the special move, it takes away part of your life. And there are no refills in the levels. You just have to make it to the end of each one.

The way the Wii games were packed on the shelves and seeing how it was probably put out yesterday, and that it is 'Kmart', I would say they only got two copies. Walmart may have gotten theirs out today though and they could have 15. Who knows.

Can you believe neither got in Moon on the DS? Its a cryin shame.

I picked up this game and am now in the second chapter. I am playing it on the hardest difficulty and so far its not that difficult. The gestures have been responsive, and it really is alot like Metroid Prime where you spend most of the time exploring and some fighting the other animals. The grubs are devious in that some are laid out in plain site to get you to move in that direction meanwhile there are others that are hiding closer to you or behind you. I have to be mindful to look all over before moving on to collect the obvious ones.

When you first boot the game, you can let it sit and watch a terrarium. I was so hoping that that's how the creatures look cause they are wonderfully rendered. They are streamed off the disk though as it was spinning constantly during that time. In game graphics are clean, nothing stand-out. Its like the real world only without dark shadows, difused lighting through out the levels. Not sure if its an artistic choice or an engine limitation.

You start off right away hearing Billy Bob and Dennis, but short little conversations. Part of the gallery is unlocked and there are interviews worth listening to.

I picked the game up at KMart. Walmart didn't have it yet. There were only two copies. If you are going to grab the game, do it quick. Honestly, it is worth the money.

I used to collect my SNES game boxes but my mom would throw them away constantly, so then by the end of the SNES and the early N64 days I would cut up the boxes and post the artwork on my wall, along with cut outs from old tired issues of NP (not just the posters mind you).

When Ocarina of Time came out and i got that special edition box... thats when started collecting them. I still have a shoe box with some of my game boxes (some with manuals some without) like PD, Goldeneye, both Zeldas and who knows what else.

I did this with the stats thing on the back of Transformers boxes. I had a stack of those plastic red readers, too. Man, I wasted alot of time in my youth.

Stogi's drivers license reads 'Stogi Kashogi'

True story.

Damn man, wasn't that like a night to find some freak and have some freaky sex with? I'd be like 'excuse me, but I'm bringing the wings sauce with me.'
