I have never included Steam when talking Nintendo, and I still don't have a reason to. OF COURSE Steam has more indie titles, it's for PC after all. Comparing it to PS4/XB1 it has quite the jump on those systems, even if you compare the launch and what was announced in the first 12 months.

2014 is shaping up to be a great year for the Wii U, in house. The confirmed tittle include, DKC tropical Freeze, MK8, Bayonetta 2, x2 and others. For me, that's plenty. However I am quite aware of the appetites of the playing masses and the required versatility in genres. Other than Ubisoft, Sega and  few others, support is tatooine over the next 12 months. Except for one group.  Thanks to UNINTY, the amount of indie titles on the forefront for the Wii U is almost staggering. While a good many of these titles are platformers, there is quite the number of possible gems in this vast list:

This will not replace the GTA's and MGS of the world but thats not why you brought a Wii U is it? It is also insulation against a major gaming crash but thats another topic. What say you, is there a Minecraft hiding amongst the huddled masses of garageband style developers?

This thread has inadvertently reminded me how diverse the Gamecube library was Vs. Wii. I mean that e3 video shows a vast amount of titles over several genres. I mean, that little purple box was rock solid. I've always said that the Top 20 games on GameCube or as good or better than either the xbox1, er first xbox or the PS2.


If the Wii U is another GC than A happy gamer is me.

3 as in IronMan 3, everything about that movie save for the trailer is the worst thing marvel has done…wait, not gonna rant on that now. I can't believe I like ATTACK OF THE CLONES more than IM3!

1966? My moms was a kid in 1966. I only know the song from "Ghostface Killah's  Supreme Cliental". Considered by some to be the best rap album of all time, who is also in the movie( the airplane scene). Jon Faveru loves hiphop.

Can 2 apps work at the same time? I want to watch netfilx on the tv and use the browser or Miiverse on the GamePad. Since the Wii U can use 2 gamepads simultaneously, I would think this would be an option easily added from a firmware upgrade. What say the you?

At the very least every VC title thats available for the Wii should also be on the eShop for Wii U. As much as I want GC support, which should be easy from the standpoint that a GameCube > Wii > Wii U.  I just want Gamecube games. That is all. is that too much to ask. GameCube on the GamePad!

So much doom in this thread. While I understand the trepidation, I can't imagine where giving up on a 13month young console makes any sense. in terms of sales, how many units does nintendo have to sell in dec to ease the fears with the fan base. 400k? 500k 1m? (btw, 400-500k for dec is what I'm thinking)


I think Nintendo is going to "double down" on Wii U. Push the chips to the center of the table and lets see what happens. Europe is lost(so what) Japan will come around when "that" games comes out and here in the west well, we'll just have to see.


This ain't over folks not by any stretch.

When I posted this I felt like this would be a solid number to ease the fears of the fan base, boy was I wrong. I can't believe just how dire the situation appears to be. Despite being the best all around console of 2013, it seems like nothing will start this train. Is it purely marketing? Top 5 exclusives? The tech is lacking but not abysmal by any means. So what gives…

The more I think about it, the more I realize that the design is the philosophy of the company, and that's where I have the problem.  NINTENDO IS BORING. The Wii U looks like the past. Not one other Nintendo Console can be confused with its predecessor.  Distinction people. Separate but equal…er wait, not that.

Nintendo drops the ball when it comes to this stuff. The Eshop should have soundtracks at the ready for the 3DS, it's like free money. Maybe they could come up with a dedicated music app. These things sell themselves.




Also, why isn't Symphony of the Goddess on Blu-Ray? Come on man!

Michael Douglas playing Hank Pym in Ant-Man.

This has to be explained to me other than he's playing "old" Hank Pym. I like Michael Douglas but this is some weird casting.

Yeah, I just want some consistency with the direction of the program. If that was the season finale or something I guess but, well I guess this was the "winter premier" (topic for another thread). one of the more interesting  theories I read was since they changed the origin of ultron then this episode sets up for Coulsen to become Vision.




Now on to this Marvel One shot with The Mandarin. As I have previously stated, I hated just about everything from IronMan 3 (save for the last trailer) and most of it was centered around Ben Kingsley's "character". Just a total damned waste but I digress. Now rumors and speculation point to the "real" Mandarin is pissed with fake him. Just let it go. You screwed up Marvel. Unless they make hime like Chow Yun Fat or Donnie Yen.

That scene was far too dark for the tone of the show. I was uncomfortable watching the whole thing. I want fun and adventure and danger and villains not that. I'm hoping this show doesn't move in that direction too much. I've been searching around to see if it was just me in my old age being squeamish and prudish. Am I alone?

Is there a reason should be using XBMC over VLC? All my anime and stuff is either .mkv or .avi and VLC never gives me a hard way to go about it? Also, I'm a dinosaur and gave been using vlc since this place had POWERS, RICK POWERS!

OUYA!

What in the blazes am I supposed to do with this thing? I mean, I'm not complaining since it was free (Entertainment Tonight sent it today) but what does it do? It's not quite a Roku(no hulu or netflix) and it's not just an Android tablet. It reminds me of a Vita Tv from what I know of that device. It has ok specs and it looks like I can get XBMC and VLC to work but other than that, I'm looking for guidance on my BRAND NEW OUYA!

Any other owners in here wanna help me out with some basics and secrets?

An Eternal Darkness sequel on the Wii U that uses the Vitality Sensor would be awesome. It could sense your heart rate and adjust sanity effects or action sequences accordingly, something like that could also probably have some merit in stress researching. Win-win.

Since this idea is ridiculously awesome idea and make sense, I hate you because it will never happen. Sometimes I feel like Nintendo doesn't make sequel to games I like out of spite. They don't wanna see me happy.

I thought SHIELD was already a good show. Flawed to be sure but still. Although, I don't watch any tv for adults more than an hour and a half a week so maybe I've forgotten what good tv is. When's 24 coming back?
