I've clocked over 150+ hours and still find new things. I throw enemy into the air, lunge down to the ground and then just create hammer and put it exactly where enemy lands which of course counts as damage.

And Saur uploaded new video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVE-mN6WYy4
And again i learned a new move where you can block dragon wings with Guts. I never even tried to do that because this is one of these weird exceptions to the rule of "guts only works against blunt attack".

Unite Countering against turtle head attack i do regularly, but i never did it standing right between them.

And overall that sequence where he was styling all over three dragons was badass.

Could be Nintendo Software Technology project, a continuation of sorts of Mario vs Donkey Kong. Later installments (unfortunately) scrapped Donkey Kong 94 gameplay for level editing a-la Lemmings.

Using warp items is the same as going to cinema, then going to toilet in the middle of the film and spending most of the time there.
Do you want to play the game or not?
On the other hand subjecting yourself to persevere every single level like i did, will make you realize how much of the game is made of empty lanes of nothingness.
I don't even know what P-wings are.

It's an impressive trailer, but even that cheats a little bit. I don't think at the time any consumer computer could render that in real time.
You think wrong.
I had rather mediocre PC when first Rome cme out and it ran 1000 on 1000 skirmishes just fine. With towers, ladders, elephants, scorpions what have you.

That's the thing -- actual in-game battles were often even more epic than the trailer, you could do the flying arrow cam, which was the hottest stuff after LOTR did it first.

One of my favourite videogame trailers, intro for Rome Total War is made entirely of 100% in-game footage.
It kinda looked like balls even then, with low-poly models and stuff:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvZWOG8QkOg
But damn if it isn't one of the most amazing trailers ever made, the sheer scale still floors me.
When you see these kinda crappy models, it's not a bad thing because you realize that they're crappy because they're are EXACTLY as they are in-game and the epicness will be the same in ACTUAL game.

Oh good, so we can look forward to the entire show being as boring and pointless as Daenerys' storyline (and to some extent John Snow's) has been for at least 2 seasons. Greeeeaaat.  ::)
Haha, oh you don't know what "boring" even means yet. Dany's crap is only gonna get even more pointless, and not only that but other previously great character will also turn to be more annoying than enjoyable.

It's good that they're combining fourth and five books together because 4th was just atrocious with all bad and uninteresting POV characters all concentrated in one book, one after another without a single good spot in between.

You know this is some weak writing when you realize afterwards that Cersei had all the best and any meaningful chapters.

Looks great. I'm mostly interested in story mode because story in MK9 was legitimately great. Injustice tried to do the same but fell short on so many aspects (mainly length).

Also curious how they're gonna follow up MK9 canon, because basically everyone freaking died in the end, except for like 3 characters.

Completely new moves look weird, like Scorpion doing shoryuken, Guile's flash kick and Kratos thing with two chains. Are they changing it up to make it more of legitimate fighting game for a tenth time?

Will grab it on PC, but i expect crapload of disgusting DLC schemes bolted on, so i will wait a bit.

Batman Arkham Origins (Wii U):
Cutscenes are amazing, action, lightning, camera angles are just unbelievably good:

Map on gamepad is really good, it's probably the only open-world title on Wii U that actually uses touch on gamepad -- you can set targets and fast travel just by touching the destination. That's cool.

Looks a bit better than Arkham City and framerate is definitely higher. It still starts to lag during battles with big crowds though.

Challenges are very cool. I never bothered to do those in Arkham City because they were just a bunch of rooms and a bunch of dudes you need to beat up. Now there is some linear progression to them and actual targets you need to hit so you feel you achieved something each time.

I kinda miss riddles that asked you to scan specific unique parts of environment be it special poster or statue or whatever. Those were kinda cool because they required designers to keep putting unique stuff in each place. Now all posters are mostly the same. The places are still packed with lots of stuff to look at though if that your thing, it's just that there are no point to it.

ACIV (Wii U):
Naval missions just get in a way of my enjoyment at this point, i see a fort and it's crazily defended: lots of cannon batteries, mortars, and even a navy of gunboats of it's own. I try to attack it and fight for five minutes and die because my cannons and hull armour doesn't have enough levels. I do that three times and just switch to something else...

Skulls of Shogun (Steam):
Pretty good turn based strategy game. Lots of angry birds-like crap which is offputting. Three star achievement system on each level, also pushing you for spamming stuff on facebook or something.
Another problem is that these three stars are kinda forcing you to replay the level but tutorial parts in the first levels won't turn off and there is no fast skip cutscene button combination from what i see.
Really like controls, it works pretty good both on mouse and controller.

Metal Slug 3 (Steam): emulation controller buttons are set weird by default, but workable
Smash Bros Melee: getting the hang of this. Even the jumping with stick almost stopped being a problem.
Mega man (3DS): still fighting yellow devil. Killed him with mega buster but took damage so i guess i'll keep at it until i do perfectly. Because why not.

The Devil's Backbone -- from what I understand, this is del Toro's first "big" film. It was billed as a horror movie, but it's not really that at all. It's about orphans in a middle-of-nowhere boarding school (or something) and there's a mean dude who wants to steal some supposedly hidden gold? It's not super-clear. The "horror" angle comes from a ghost who appears to one of the kids every now and then, but none of the creepy horror elements from other del Toro elements show up here.

Also takes place during, or shortly after, the Spanish Civil War, which is also when Pan's Labyrinth is set.

I didn't really like it, mainly because it was slow-moving and I didn't get what I was promised.

Yeah, Devil's backbone is weird. I also didn't like it, but one friend really enjoyed it for some reason. Not even sure why.
That armed bomb sitting right in the school yard is kinda neat as a symbol.
From what i remember there is a another movie set in this "spanish trilogy" which stars Ron Perlman (Chrono or something), i should watch it sometime.

Catherine: the game is unique because it revolves around not saving the world, but around real things people in 20-30 usually face.

SMB3: told you so, told you so, told you so. The star run levels where you need to be invincible all the time are not actually bad at all, but levels where you need to keep your momentum to stay alive are poorly designed because on even medium speed you start jumping too high, high enough to jump over the top screen border and disappear, and then you have to guess where exactly you will reappear and this disorients you even more coupled with extremely loose controls.

This challenge in NES Remix 2 is very deliberately built around exploiting this mechanical flaw:

Lots of very high platforms mean that you WILL disappear from the screen and when you and your two clones will reappear that will mess up very bad.

Loyalty discount is interesting (i own VVVVVV on 3DS -- great game, highly recommended).

I guess i'll wait for impressions, and depending on that may get it down the line.
