Also, upsetting the core isn't a very bright idea, as that's the segment that is keeping the Wii U "afloat." (Had to put quotations since it's more treading water than anything else.)
A better, clearer message for consumers would be to not name your darned systems so stupidly that it confuses them-- and gamers, too.
If they did that, then marketing wouldn't have a job. By having to explain and make clear to consumers what the differences are between all these similar sounding products, then they are able to stay employed and have a large marketing budget to accomplish this difficult task. C'mon Phil. Think of the marketers.
That's true. I'm not always thinking about those kinds of things. That's why I'm really happy you're there to help me out, Khush.
The developers of Need for Speed Most Wanted said the Wii U version was the best, and had very nice things to say about the system. Then EA shut them down.
Can't agree with this technical-wise. The game hard freezes A LOT. Content-wise, I agree.
I bought The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D this past Friday. Wanted Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as well, but didn't have the funds and didn't really have time for it anyhow.
This is my first time playing Majora's Mask since its original N64 release, so it's practically a new game with some memories of locations and events. Having fun with it, and trying not to use a guide to do everything.
Firstly, it's inexcusable that there is no online-- not even for mini-game play with other people. Secondly, yeah, the car mechanic has returned. However, I think Mario Party 10 is going to be great fun when you're NOT playing only against the computer. However, a lot of players don't have a choice, which again is why no online for the tenth mainline entry in 2015 on a home console is a joke. Still, the mini-games look sweet, and I'm going to look forward playing with friends and my older brother.
Oh bugger. Still not working. I'm so technologically illiterate!
Phil, why are you buggering around with url= code? You don't need any of that. All you need is the two youtube tags and then you just paste the url of the youtube video in the middle of those tags.
Like I said, do a quote of someone else in this thread who has embedded a video and copy that example. You'll be able to see how they posted their link.
I DID do that... :/
I copied the url and pasted it in between my two Youtube tags. I didn't do anything with code. I even took another user's post, quoted it, and put my url inside it and it still didn't work.
I think for the next console Nintendo needs to realize it's a global company and stop catering to just Japan for the most part. Japan as a console market has already moved towards mobile and handheld gaming with the latter being usurped by the former more and more as time goes on. The Wii brand name is damaged goods, and Nintendo will be better suited getting away from the name with their next console. In addition to that, Nintendo cannot just try catering to either the core or the casual gamer. The company needs both to succeed, and halfhearted attempts to bring in both will not do Nintendo well.
I'm sure the article means worst-performing MAJOR Sonic launch ever, as I doubt Sonic Drift or Labyrinth did well.
Anyway, I wish SEGA wouldn't try to reinvent the wheel with every Sonic game. They had something great with Sonic Colors and then Sonic Generations, and then they threw that away for Sonic: Lost World. Now, while that game isn't horrible, the mechanics weren't in tiptop shape and the game progressively got worse as you played through it (a trademark Sonic Team thing, the first level being the most polished and things drop off eventually from there).
I played both of the Sonic Boom games, and I really saw some potential in the Wii U game. However, you could tell the game was rushed to coincide with the release of the cartoon. It's a shame because with more time the combat could have been much better, the glitches wouldn't be so apparent, and the other problems plaguing the game wouldn't be so numerous.
The 3DS game was a fun diversion, but it was way too short for the asking price of $40. That's just a ridiculous asking price.
Breath of Fire on the SNES was one of the first RPGs I ever played and completed. Holds a lot of nostalgia for me, but it's also still of a nice quality to this day.
A lot of game credits nowadays are just lame, especially stuff like Ubisoft games where it's 20 minutes of names listing everyone from top designers to janitors to QA technicians in countries that I have to believe are mostly made up to pad the credits length (joking, but you get what I mean).
Super Mario 64 - The new 3D graphics meant Nintendo took great liberties with the camera, dynamically showing each level in the game with awesome views and pans.

Mario Kart 64 - One of my favorite credit themes accompanies by overviews of all of the tracks within the game with Nintendo once again showing off the 3D of their new system.

Viewtiful Joe - Great theme accompanied by movie posters based off real life movies like Star Wars, King Kong, and Jaws, and then proceeded by a look at all of the characters in the game.

What credits sequences are your faves? Do you have links to share?
SNES was awesome. It's a shame that it was during a time when my brother and I stuck to series we knew we liked. We didn't play Super Metroid, any of the Kirby games, or Chrono Trigger until much, much later! D:
The Wii was fantastic because it had AAA, AA, and A stuff, and the AA stuff was where you could find really sweet gems. The Mushroom Men, Trauma Center, We Love Golf, A Boy and His Blob, Blast Works, Opoona, Shaun White, Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, Go Vacation, Super Swing Golf, Dewy's Adventure, a whole slew of rail shooters, and so much more.
Why would someone email me from a company and then when I immediately email them back I get an automatic message saying they won't be back in the office until Tuesday?
