Well at least this points heavily to Retro's new game being Metroid Prime 4.  The original Hunters sold worse then then worst selling Prime game, so for Nintendo to make another Hunters, even still letting it keep the name Metroid Prime despite Samus nowhere in site, implies heavily the real deal is being worked on.

Retro Studios no long exists.  It's just a shell company now.

This is the meme for Rare, not Retro Studios. And neither are true.

Rare announced two games today.  Retro hasn't announced a new game in two years.

Rare is not Retro. Retro is not Rare. Do you have a point, or do you just like comparing apples to oranges? Durrr. they're both developurs, so dey must be da same!

Sony won.

Thank god that is settled. It did so well for Nintendo last year "winning E3.
Jesus Christ.

Federation Force looks terrible. It could be fun, but why did they have to make a Metroid game for babies? It's hard to believe that a first party (or whatever Retro is) is putting out a game like that, when Capcom makes stuff like Resident Evil Revelaitons.

That trailer has more than 10:1 negative votes on YouTube.

Yeah.... it's Next Level Games making this. Good job keeping up with something very important like the negative vote to positive vote ratio and not who is actually developing the damn thing. It's not like it's even hard info to find.

And seeing how Metroid and Nintendo fans are acting today (pathetic and embarrassing as usual)... I would say it's made for them. For babies. You're absolutely right.

Bummer, I feared it would be bogged down with amiibo stuff too.

It was confirmed you can also unlock that content through playing the challenge mode. The Amiibo stuff simply fastens the process.

Awesome! Makes it so I can play with my older brother without having to buy two copies like we had to with Mario Golf!

The return of those timed chance shot things from the 3DS game don't instill much hope, despite me not minding them so bad. For others, it's probably going to be a deal-breaker unless the gameplay is modified to not require the use of them.

I saw the spaces on a path, and I said to myself, "Please don't be a board game, please don't be a-- mother %@##er!"

On the positive side, I'm very hyped for Happy Home Designer. I love the customization of the series.

Great news! This should have been part of the digital event for the mature audiences.

Yeah, it's a bit confusing and astonishing what was and what wasn't left out of the Digital Event. Things could have been so much better if games from the Micro Direct, stuff from the Smash Direct and such were switched out with some of what the Digital Event showed.

Is there confirmation that Tri Force Heroes will have download play so only one person needs the game for all three players to play local multiplayer?

1239
... well, if it's going to be a metroid game, at least it won't feature samus bawling like a teenager again

at least i hope not

Nah, only very sore Nintendo/Metroid fans are doing that, and making fools of themselves in the process. lol

Is it true that this game has download play so only one cart is needed across three 3DSes?

Super Mario Maker IMO works better to align with the naming conventions with all the games they're letting you modify.

I'm so torn on this game, I wrote in another post that I'm not ready to buy-in at full retail price, but the event last night really sold how much fun it could be... The only problem is that unless there's going to be an easy way to filter & search for other user's submissions by quality, then it'll be like Little Big Planet where the majority of the levels are garbage.

I'll heart your levels if you heart mine, lolmondade! :D

1242
Welp, Microsoft's press conference just sold me an Xbox One. A more diverse than expected showing, plus the Rare mega collection and backward compatibility pushed me over the edge.

Me too! That Rare Replay retail release will more than pay for itself!

1243
Tried out Freedom Planet. My older brother was singing its praises, and it seems to be for good reason. Really enjoyed what I played from the demo. Reminds me a lot of Sonic, which the game is based off of, so that's good!

1244
I wonder if this is an eShop game, or part of a bigger game? Or something else? It looked interesting enough.

1245
That was a lot of fun, especially the Super Mario Maker part. As someone who adores level design, this game is going to suck a lot of hours from my free time.

I think some lowlights were the 9-year-old during Splatoon that I found a tad grating, and the HungryJackBox guy coming across as a little too strong during his taunting.

Welcome to the WORLD* Championships!

*North American residents only.

Did they check IDs at Best Buy to only allow NA residents?

They asked me if I was legal at least.

And it doesn't have the Atlus tax! It's "only" $40, which is better than the usual $50! :)

Now, I just want a Dragon Quest game and that Dragon Ball Z 2D fighter to get localized!
