Yeah, I know, but the idealist in me doesn't want to know that they're spending $1,000,000,000 on games for Xbone.  Moneyhats are slowly strangling the life out of the Madden series since it went exclusive EA.  People complain about how the industry has stagnated(mostly in the AAA space), I worry if the attitude that MS is displaying will just encourage more of that.

Moneyhats didn't ruin Madden. A lack of competition did. The big budget, AAA, annualized series market will crash eventually. Or rather, the returns will diminish so that instead of a new Call of Duty every year, it'll be more like 18 months. That's mostly the same thing. Right?

Nope, because it won't happen. This already happens anyway with the alternating call of duty series. Blacks ops 2 sold like crazy, but I doubt ghost does as well (similar to MW3), and next years game done by the black ops team will sell like crazy.

But i'm expecting to see games follow the model destiny is supposed to be having which is tweak on the Call of Duty model. Game relases yearly but even year releases will be essentially expansion packs. (ODST to Halo 3).

But money does fix the majoity of problems and there's a reason why microsoft is moneyhatting so much stuff. If were being honest if Windows phone and 8 would have launched around the same time as android and ios I think those would have been in first place. Even then Microsoft has carved out a pretty decent #3 platform. (distant number three at that, plus they need to wife up Nokia).

Either you have enough money to get into a market (microsoft or samsung) or you happen to snowball an early lead.

I thought arsenal was supposed to be a pretty solid team.

@Racht

No go since I don't have cable. (though I might try to use my uncles.)

Keep trying to keep up with sports but than eventually fallout. So this season i'm following Arsenal. I wish premier league had something similar to MLS live.

Moto X should be launching this week.

One thing I will say about it is its getting accessory support as quick as the iphone does. It took the nexus 4 a while before everything for it came out. The new nexus 7 model was pretty good in regards to this as well.

Will be sure if the its android built for iphone users rings true.

I feel comfortable in almost anything expect these kakhi pants I have to wear to work since my Chino pants are being tailored since there a tad to big in the waist.

But I want to start dressing more fashionable and redoing my Wardrobe. A mix of street style and more prepish.
.

I still rock graphic tee's but they're more the understated ones

Or something like the cool Unquilo collab (I hope they do another pokemon series) or a superhero logo.

Some might call it the price of ever slimming computers, but it is a bit of a let down to not have the option to upgrade your computer.

It's the price of buying an overpriced computer that costs hundreds of dollars more than a Windows computer with the same specs (and more games).

so you yell at me for bashing apple and wind up accusing me of trolling but then do it yourself...

at least you can't yell at me for posting this

seriously, theres making a comic to bash a product you don't like and there's making a comic to bash a product you don't like with style

Tim Buckley isn't funny so there's that.

I blame Nintendo for not having a gamecube/Wii VC in the works. (as far as we know mind you). That would have been one of the first things I would announced even if it wouldn't be ready for a year.

1160
I can't see how people can complain about the 180s. Just makes it a more consumer friendly console. At this rate it looks like this for me.

This Fall- Wii U
Next Spring- PS4
Next Fall- Xbox One.

Just four games currently.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Denpamen 2 (its actually what i'm playing right now)
Shining ForceL The Sword of Hajya
Defender's of Oasis

The 3DS has pretty much become my main games machine. Plan to get a Wii U this year so that might change.

I dunno man, I've seen some 360 only dudes online claim that The Last of Us is the one game that would get them to buy a cheap PS3.

Gears of War and Uncharted.

A new Nexus 7 would go great with the chromecast.

1167
I remember hearing that most of the Vita's software purchases were Digital and that it has a small yet dedicated base that constantly buys software. Isn't that the main reasons why the GDC survey had it above both the 3DS and Wii U. I mean if I were making a Game I'd taget Vita before any Nintendo platform.

How about instead of trying to pay Third party developers to help build games Nintendo does something radical and unexpected. You know in addition to funding games from second party developers they actually use some of that Warchest to expand they're current studios as well as building new studios in other regions as well. Deciding to skip out on stuff like THQ sale seemed very stupid in my book.

Sony upped thier studio count last gen and puts out enough titles between its three systems to not need third party. (plus the third party exclusives from Japanese devs)

Microsoft also has been recently doing the same starting in 2011 and its looking to payoff.

1169
Nintendo lost this generation a long time ago, when they decided to use the hardware they did. They knew then, or at least should have known, that the wouldn't have the market or mind share Sony/Microsoft would.

Nintendo is more profitable this way. Sony/MS are prepared to lose millions for a few years in order to have the highest end tech in their hardware. Nintendo has the money to do it that way, but they'd much rather make money in third place than lose it in first.

Nintendo has the money to do it, but they can't. Sony and Microsoft has other forms of income that allow them to do so. Nintendo has enough money to go uber powerful, but they have greater risk since video games are they're only real source of income.

1170
It will never happen but I'd love to see a Zelda more inspired by stuff like Skyrim/Amular. Thankfully X seems to fill that void. (oddly enough it means sony is the only company without a strong first party RPG)

I think Nintendo needs to do much more to get its software development up and do more deals like Sonic Lost World and the Platinum Games deals. If shadow of the eternals doesn't get funded (it won't) than publish the game using the Eternal Darkness IP.

Nintendo also needs to be more proactive when it comes to indies. They have been doing great work but they should openly publicize it more. Sony has gotten tons of loving for spotlighting indies and their PR marketing machine hit critical mass after the indie section at E3. Microsoft seems to be planning similar things with indies being apart of their gamescom conference.

Also I'd say publish Dragon Quest X but in light of the other announced and rumored MMO's i'm not sure if its worth it. (well it would be cool for Nintendo only gamers seeing as the Wii U won't get any other MMO this gen)

GFG is nowhere near on the same level of selection as PS+. Don't put them I'm the same league.

This is the point where TJ Spyke runs in and argues the fact that you can't keep the dozens of games a year you get from PlayStation Plus completely nullifies its existence.

I never said they were in the same league. I said they're similar purchases. Intresting to note all the games picked thus far have sequels coming out soon or is a big franchise.

Halo 3- Halo 5 and Halo TV hits next year. Most recent game was spartan assult.
Assassins Creed 2- AC4 hits this year and this was probably a ploy to get AC3 out of peeps minds.
Dead Rising 2 stuff- Dead rising 3 is a launch title.

I don't mind either but I've come to the personal realization that an SD Card/Removable memory means you have to scarfice design than so be it.
Hardware or software? If it's hardware, it needs a SIM card anyway, and most phones that deal with that have the entire back removable so you can't see it anyway. For software, yeah, Android's way of dealing with SD cards and file systems in general has been suboptimal. But there isn't any reason that you "have to sacrifice design." Still, I understand the decision since it's not something "most users" will need to mess with anymore.

Probably both. I think the vast majority of phones without removable parts with the exception of the small slots for sim cards. Though I guess Moto X should have at least had the option for SD cards.

How do you figure that? (also necro quote man). I know alot of gamers who have gone PC only these days. If were being completly honest I could see my 3DS and rock a nexus 7 or an ipad mini just for games.

SD cards and removable batteries. Who needs them.   :P: :

Seriously though 16/32 GB should cover most things with cloud storage making up the rest.

I don't mind either but I've come to the personal realization that an SD Card/Removable memory means you have to scarfice design than so be it.

But to be fair those items don't automatically mean that a phone will be ugly. I still think the G2 is a pretty awesome looking phone. and the Blackberry 10 phones are nice looking.
