Nintendo Gaming / Official F-Zero Thread
« on: March 09, 2003, 06:47:32 PM »
Bad news - F-Zero has been delayed in the US.

F-Zero (GCN) - Aug 25, 2003

Wario World was pushed back and took its spot (June 23). Maybe the extra time is to add online play.

Nintendo Gaming / **NOT OFFICIAl!!** New handheld sytem!
« on: March 09, 2003, 05:14:21 PM »
moving parts in a handheld is a big no no.

also, don't expect PS2 power in a handheld. Cost is a major factor in handhelds. A PS2 power handheld would cost like $200 - $300.  Also, the battery life would be terrible.

General Gaming / NOT GOOD FOR THE CUBE
« on: March 05, 2003, 08:06:31 PM »
They are talking about XBox arcade board. I forgot what it is called but it starts with a C. PS2 already as an arcade board and so does GameCube (Triforce).

Nintendo Gaming / Dengeki Charts
« on: March 05, 2003, 06:33:59 PM »
2/24/03 - 3/2/03

6) Metroid Prime 44,100 (44,100)
8) Final Fantasy Tactics 33,911 (324,444)
10) Pokemon Sapphire 17,967 (2,029,945)
12) Pokemon Ruby 14,250 (1,981,082)
15) Metroid Fusion 12,480 (84,347)
27) Nintendo Puzzle Collection 6,380 (68,833)
43) Zelda: Wind Waker 4,267 (615,116)

Metroid Prime had a solid debut. 44,100 in three days is pretty good. The game is still in the Japan top 10 daily charts so its going nowhere. Pokemon refuses to leave the top ten. Mario Party 4 is fell off the chart. I think that it was due to all the new games released this week and it may return to the charts next week. Megaman EXE Transmission comes out next week. The GBA games are popular so the GameCube version may sell well.

I've been pretty busy. I added a lot of games in the last couple of weeks. here is some more GBA connections.

Metroid Prime
GBA Game: Metroid Fusion
If you beat Metroid Prime, you can unlock the Fusion suit by connecting it with Metroid Fusion.

If you beat Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the NES Metroid and play it on the GameCube.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
GBA Game: Sonic Advance
You can raise little creatures called Chaos using your GBA. You can transfer your chaos between the GBA and GameCube.

Nintendo Gaming / TRSTS Sales Thread
« on: March 05, 2003, 05:22:19 PM »
The numbers for Feb. comes out in a couple of weeks maybe more. Thats why I kept this a general thread so I could post the numbers when they came out.

So far, I heard good things about GameCube in Feb. The bundle seems to be a success. GameCube should be close to or above the XBox in hardware sales. They are counting the free game in the bundle as sold, so expect Metroid Prime to be in the top 10.

Konami owns like 38% of hudson.

if you check out the link I gave you, they have the games that they know are in development but isn't confirm to be at E3 in blue. Games like Metroid Prime 2 and the new Zelda fit in this catagory.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart Finished???
« on: March 04, 2003, 07:08:34 PM »
All this info came from the DICE Summit Roundtable. DICE Summit

Star Fox comment was Miyamoto wanted to due something like the bonus disk for Star Fox Advertures with Star Fox 64. The Star Fox 2 comment came from IGN (I think they asked that question). Miyamoto said he think about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mario Kart was done. Mario Kart is Nintendo's big game for the holidays.

Nintendo Gaming / Surprise new Nintendo game in March?
« on: March 03, 2003, 12:07:03 PM »
The announcement isn't Ghouls N Ghost Online. That was announced awhile ago.

He was probable talking about the Factor 5 or Silicon Knights game, but it seems the announcement was pushed back to E3.

Nintendo Gaming / Wario World Developer Not Treasure?

Originally posted by: Gaijinchuugoku From that other thread. That person manipulated the word and took it out of context. By his definition, Sega, Namco, Capcom, ect. could be developing it.

What I meant was it was also being co-developed by Nintendo and a "second party". There are a couple of games that has been co-developed.

Sin & Punishment: Successors to the Earth - Nintendo R&D1 / Treasure Co. Ltd
Card Hero - Nintendo R&D1 / Intelligent Systems Co. Ltd
Super Metroid - Nintendo R&D1 / Intelligent Systems Co. Ltd
Battle Clash - Nintendo R&D1 / Intelligent Systems Co. Ltd
Napoleon - Nintendo EAD / Genki
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle Series - Nintendo EAD / Flagship / Capcom

Note: I don't know if Nintendo R&D2 and IRD worked with another party on their games.

Intelligent Systems is a first party now. That leaves Treasure, Genki, and Flagship. It seems to make sense that Treasure is the developer since the Genki and Flagship games were for handhelds and the Treasure game was for consoles. Also, Flagship is doing the original GBA Zelda game.

It is true that we are working with Mr. Kojima to try and bring the Metal Gear series to the GameCube but at this point we really haven't talked at all about any kind of connectivity features.
