Nintendo Gaming / Zelda WW = OoT 100 years later ?

Q: The beginning of the game talks about Link getting the green clothes and the passing down of the history, the hero dressed in green, etc. How many different Links are there? This doesn't seem like that was in Ocarina of Time, for example.

Aonuma-san: In our opinions, with the Legend of Zelda, every game has a new Link. A new hero named Link always rises to fight evil.

A new Link appears when there is evil. The amount of time is not a factor.

The 100 years is a male gerudo is born.

NWR Feedback / Forum Poll
« on: April 01, 2003, 06:46:42 PM »
I don't know if it was announce, but there is a new forum poll. Rick, you should announce it by creating a thread or saying something on the today page.
The question is: How old are you?

After reading the thread I am a 31 year old gamer, it should be interesting to see the average age of the forum. So everyone vote.

Also, what was the result of the first poll?

35)  Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker  4,500  (627,323)
47)  Nintendo Puzzle Collection  3,220  (79,493)

Nintendo has found a hit in Made in Wario. I could see this game staying in the top ten for awhile. Next week is pretty big with the release of Soul Calibur 2 and PN03. PN03 has seem to bomb. I haven't seen the game in the top ten daily charts. Soul Calibur 2 for GCN could be the best selling version. The last daily chart I saw had it #7 while the PS2 version was at #10.

Depends were you live. The shipping date is the 24th so stores on the west coast will likely have them on the 24th since Nintendo ships from Washington. Since it is Zelda, they might ship it this weekend.

Nintendo Gaming / WaveBird Suggestion
« on: March 19, 2003, 05:19:47 PM »
chances are they already switch. Cost is major factor for the switch. Also, I think that the chip is easy to make. It was like a million chips a month or something.

Nintendo Gaming / WaveBird Suggestion
« on: March 19, 2003, 03:07:49 PM »
they been working on the GBA SP since 2000 or 2001. Nintendo probable have tested many variations to the wavebird. Of course when cost come down we will see a wavebird with rumble etc. but it won't be for awhile. They just figured out how to make it cheaper for them by making it 2.4 Ghz instead of 900 Mhz.

Nintendo Gaming / WaveBird Suggestion
« on: March 19, 2003, 10:45:18 AM »
cost

Nintendo probable thought of it, but you have to be realistic. A rumble feature would put extra cost because the wavebird would also have to receive a signal. The battery life would also go down.

is this the IGN Cube mailbag?

It just proves my point that gba player functions just like a gba. You treat the GCN/GBAP as a GBA and you can connect them like 4 gbas. If LAN means connecting just like 4 gba then you can have a LAN. I doubt that the GBAP supports the broadband adapter.

it just linking 4 gba together. You don't use the GCN-GBA cable, you use the regular link cable. Also, if you need the cart or not depends on the game. Some games like F Zero have 4 player with one cart. Most games you need a cart.

Like I said, the GBA Player is nothing more than a GBA. it probable won't use the broadband together.

if you can have LAN multiplayer player through the gameboy player why not take it the next level and get online?

Where did you hear that it supports LAN? GBA Player is nothing more than a GBA with the controls and screen going to the GameCube. Don't expect the GBA Player to use the broadband adapter.
