Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart: Double Dash Question
« on: April 23, 2003, 10:55:17 AM »
You can pick your partner. You also can switch during a race. The strategy for the game just went up like 10 times. Each person has their own weapons.

if you had a team like koopa and wario, you could use koopa during the part of course with lots of turns and use wario for the rest.

Gameinfowire has posted magazine scans of the game.

NWR Feedback / Dead Boards?
« on: April 20, 2003, 12:24:05 AM »
It could be just the time of the year. With E3 a month away, news is really slow. Also, Zelda came out and took a lot of time away from posting on message boards.

4/7/03 - 4/13/03

4) Naruto 48,533 (48,533)
5) Wario Ware 36,767 (210,879)
10) Zelda: LTTP 14,811 (218,466)
12) Soul Calibur II 12,471 (69,467)
13) Dokapon DX 12,386 (12,386)
18) Pokemon Ruby 9,927 (2,069,892)
20) Pokemon Sapphire 9,436 (2,120,857)
24) Final Fantasy Tactics 6,688 (410,999)
29) Metroid Fusion 3,688 (126,889)
31) Zelda: Wind Waker 3,629 (637,926)
35) Shaman King 3,414 (28,614)
43) Hikaru no Go 2,471 (10,890)
46) P.N.03 2,357 (18,481)

other systems
7) PS2 Final Fantasy X-2 26,332 (1,903,533)
19) PS2 Soul Calibur II 9,826 (89,278)

Naruto had a great debut at number 4. Wario Ware continues to sell. The pokemon games seem to have slowed down. SCII GC outsold the PS2 version this week. Will it pass it overall? P.N.03 looks like it will be off the charts in the coming weeks. Nothing new next week. I expect Wario Ware and Naruto to continue in the top ten. Giftpia comes out in a  couple weeks.

Nintendo Gaming / TRSTS Sales Thread
« on: April 14, 2003, 12:43:32 PM »
The analyst say it was 10 million for the fiscal year. Nintendo hasn't said anything so I assume it was fiscal year. Nintendo has shipped 9.4 million consoles total as of March 2003.

Microsoft said they forcast 9 million total as of June 2003. (They just announce it is total units and not fiscal year. I don't know if they changed it so the numbers would look good). They shipped 8 million as of Dec 2002.

Both RE are in the top 20 GC sales. RE is in the top 10. A lot of third parties would kill for those types of numbers on any console.
