I'm excited for TVii as well.  I do worry about how many providers will allow integration into it though.  I saw college football and ABC was listed (obviously sponsored).  But there was nothing about Comcast or Directv or Dish or Warner Cable anywhere.  It had a button for live tv.  Will we be able to use this as a settop box for our cable/dish if we have it?

I wonder how much of the TVii functionality will be available for people (like me) who chose not to get cable because of the availability of content on the web.  I would love to be able to watch college football games on there without having to have cable.  Seriously, I am SO tired of having to go to a sports bar to watch Virginia Tech games if they aren't on network tv/ESPN3.

They were showing college football on the gamepad so maybe Nintendo made a deal with the NCAA or something.

I would be very surprised if that was the case.  Wouldn't it mean also making deals the other companies that bought the rights to air them on television?

I'm not going to complain about the storage, I've been planning on using an external hard drive with the Wii U since it was announced.

Maybe the Mario game will be some kind of update/re-imagining/whatever to the original Mario Bros. arcade game.  I never liked that game much, but then again I never liked Balloon Fight either and the Nintendo Land version of that looks amazing.

Oh wow, that looks both really fun and potentially very challenging.  The mechanic of clearing obstacles and keeping your character afloat at the same time with the stylus looks like it could get very hard.

I don't know...I could see them really half-assing the "one" world map concept.  I would not be surprised if it just meant that 1-8 and 2-1 have a path connecting them or something.

I'm going to agree with one of James' predictions: I feel like now, just over a month after NSMB2 was released in Japan, is the perfect time to announce new levels for the game.  I'm actually a little disappointed that these DLC levels are only for the coin rush mode.  I've never been a speed-rush-style Mario player, I like to explore the levels' nooks and crannies.  I suppose if the new ones are specifically designed for coin rush though...

I believe he was talking about clicking through links from article to article. There's a fun game that I think I originally learned about on these forums, where you click random article and have to navigate from that one to the one for Hitler in 5 clicks or fewer. More often than not, it's possible, unless you end up starting with a stub.

Haha, awesome.  I hadn't heard of that before.  I just got to Hitler in exactly five clicks starting at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baku_(spirit) (from there it was anime,Rankin/Bass,Red Baron,Germany,Hitler).

I love that song from Skyward Sword.  I did not understand when the music in that game got a lot of criticism last year, I thought it was wonderful.

Thank you virtual console!  I got 2 and 4 because I played through both over this summer on VC.  I found game #2 very frustrating though.  While pretty to look at and the music is really nice, I found the physics of the character control to be really annoying.  On the other hand, #4 was a wonderful game throughout with really nice music for a Genesis game.

This doesn't make sense, I definitely saw download cards on sale at Target when I went to buy my XL this past Sunday morning.  They were sitting right next to the retail copies on a 3DS display.
