TalkBack / Splinter Cell Blacklist Display Sighted at GameStop
« on: October 30, 2012, 05:40:01 PM »

Sam Fisher may have sneaked by on this one.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/rumor/32315

A Splinter Cell Blacklist display was found in a GameStop, according to a NeoGAF user. The forum user found this display in his local GameStop in Dublin, Ireland.

Even though we've seen no evidence to indicate Blacklist will be coming to the Wii U, this is not the first hint that this game might come to the Wii U. A video from HipHopGamer also noted that Splinter Cell would be receiving a Wii U release.

Until Ubisoft reveals something concrete, this remains merely a rumor.

TalkBack / Final Three Nintendo Land Attractions Detailed
« on: October 30, 2012, 08:19:55 AM »

Yoshi dances with an octopus in a race... or something like that.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/32288

Nintendo has revealed details on the final three Nintendo Land attractions. The three games are Yoshi's Fruit Cart, Captain Falcon's Twister Race, and Octopus Dance.

In Yoshi's Fruit Cart, players are required to use the TV screen to find fruit and avoid obstacles while controling a cart with the GamePad's touch screen. There are about 50 stages in total.

Captain Falcon's Twister Race is inspired by F-Zero. Players will navigate a vehicle through a winding and twisting course by moving the GamePad, passing checkpoints in order to make it to the final goal in time. While racing, obstacles such as other vehicles and bombs must be avoided.

The final game, Octopus Dance, gives dance directions on both the GamePad and TV screen. The player must pay attention to both. Dancing is done through the GamePad's gyroscope and analog sticks. This mini-game is inspired by the classic Game and Watch game Octopus.

These mini-games and 9 others will be playable in this launch day title on November 18.

I think the Wii U shortage is a conspiracy by sony to sell more copies of All-Stars Battle Royale.

Still not sure if I should get any version of this game or the first one for Christmas. There are too many other games.

It has already been confirmed as a day 1 launch title for the Wii U  ;D

Why does every 3DS game need the word 3D at the end of the title. It is like the N64 all over. Anyways I will most likely be (virtually) picking this game up tomorrow.

Are there any good download games coming out soon that are not retail games like NSMB2?

385
Now the question is will that include the 3DS version. Since not all versions will have the same amount of characters.

What is wrong with a good Karaoke game?

Specially if it can get downloadable songs, and you can just buy one game and have one app for it?  Sounds like a win.

There is nothing wrong with a good Karoke game. The problem I and other people have with it is that this game is not really a reason to buy the Wii U and the core audience does not care about this when watching the press conference.

Are they still going to be selling the regular 3DS like they did with DSi/DSiXl or am I going to be left with an old dated model like when they released the DS Lite?

Podcast Discussion / Re: Episode 26: Lobsterback-log

Two things/thoughts:

1. Having a back-log of games is the most 1s worldy problem a gamer could have. That is more of a good thing then a bad thing since then you can have more choices of what to play on a regular basis.

2. I have a question about the Kid Icarus multiplayer. I have not been able to get a solid answer anywhere. Can you play the multiplayer offline without the wifi on and as a single player experience against cpus like in Star Fox 64 3D or Steel Diver's Steel Commander. I would rather play it that way so I can decide how I want the match to be like which map and stuff like that. Thanks for the help.

Is there anyway to play it just offline against CPUs like in Star Fox 64 3D?

I only played the first level but I thought it was fun. I guess not every armadillo tower defense game is for everyone one. Also Dillon kinda reminds me of Solid Snake. NWR also did not like Sakura Samurai and I did. Maybe I just have poor tastes?

I'm sick of the word geek and nerd being used as a derogatory statement. I hate how for some reason it is okay to make fun of people because of their interests. I'm sick of shows like Big Bang Theory which jokes are all centered around making fun of geeks. They would be less of an offender if the show was actually entertaining.

Plan on listening to it later. Just finished listening to the 9 hour live show while playing Ace Combast: Assault Horizon Legacy, Sonic Generations and Super Mario 3D Land on my 3DS. I forgot to donate but I plan on doing it next year though. Money is tight so I really can't right now.

I played the online mode and the people I played with were counted in StreetPass and I got items from them in Super Mario 3D Land. But they did not count in Find Mii, which I have been doing what play coins, anyone know what it up with this?
