The E3 reveal focused heavily on the GamePad. Aside from the Zelda demo, they relied heavily on Wii IPs, and Miis. There were constant references to "the New Controller" and "the device", but the only times we saw the console it was tucked away to the side of a big screen TV. 6 minutes into the video they're already talking about backwards compatibility with Wii peripherals.

I can't order online from Best Buy though (living in PR), so my best bet is either Walmart or Gamestop. That being said, I lucked out with this Shulk and I'm tired of the insanity that is pre-ordering these things. I want to at least finish my mains (Robin and ZS Samus) but I won't lose sleep if don't get them.

Probably the best looking Amiibo so far. The detail is very nice and there's nice contrast of colors (his vest color pops more than anything). A few people have been saying their Monado's have a slight bend, but mine is perfectly straight.

I'm deathly afraid of opening it, but I probably will tonight.

Toad preorders are already sold out...

I'd like to think that, for once, even Ubisoft was ashamed of the shovelware they had created and couldn't bring themselves to release another stinker on the market but blamed Wii U sales to shift the blame of the product's obvious failure off themselves to feel a bit better.

Agreed. Even an eShop release means that because of the empty release schedule the game would get too much attention, highlighting what a horrible piece of crap it probably is.

The Wii brought me back into gaming after I lost interest during the sixth generation so it's right next to the SNES as my all-time favorite consoles. I guess I would put it right next to the N64, but if quality games keep coming out I guess it can get one of those goofy claims like "pound-for-pound" the best consoles around.

The Wii library is stacked, though.

You're totally right. The 360 could never handle open-world RPGs with online play, massive file size all while running 720p and (what will most likely be) 30fps.
