As everyone else has said, Dead Rising is a blast. One thing about the save system that everyone complains about. Just play a while have some fun, then when you die choose "Save Status and Quit" You start the game back from the begining but you keep all your stats and levels, so much fun when you're stronger, faster, and can hold more items.

I liked Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which is kinda funny because I usually don't like racing games.

DOA4 got kinda boring for me, had some fun playing with other people, but not very fun solo play at all (for me).

Condemed was pretty fun and creepy.

Perfect Dark 0, wasn't very fun, but then again I was expecting something like the orignal one and it's not at all.

The one that I continue to play over and over and over again has to be Dead Rising. I love that game. Here's another little tip/fun thing. When you start the game at the part when you have to go outside to reach the other side of the mall, go near the pond and get the sickle near a bench, that's fun. Then go towards the door you're supposed to go through but head to the right into the parking garage, grab the car and head back out to the grass and have some fun driving over zombies, then go to the door you're supposed to go through and grab the lawnmower (kind of a tricky item to use, if you push the button at the wrong time you pick it up) and start mowing away.....ahhhh sweet zombie killing bliss. I personally can't get enough of this game.

Now I wonder if the blu-ray movie issue is going to be with certain movies or certain hardware. It could be that a standard hasn't been set with the recording format and some studios titles won't work. I remember they had that problem with the PS2, wasn't it some Disney movies couldn't play or something like that?

Now would be the perfect time for Xbox to release the HD-DVD add on for the 360....massive damage indeed!

So now the PS3 is a "Bargin" for a Blu-ray player, but might not play Blu-ray titles??? On the other hand, the shortage makes me want to buy one and sell it on e-bay to all those sad sony fanboys

C3 News
Wiimote used for knifing attacks, moving Wii mote forward to zoom among other innovations.
Online possibility being in retail version - “We’re testing online right now”.
Not a direct port from the Xbox versions, primary focus being graphics and gameplay.
Wiiconnect24/Downloads being a possibility also.

More information on the title is said to be revealed on the 14th.

With Far Cry being confirmed as a launch title makes me wonder about all the reports of Wii not being online for 3rd parties. If Ubisoft is already testing online, then maybe other 3rd parties have acces to it but can't talk about it yet.

Very good news on the Wii front!!

Or you can find somebody that left their GPS on, track them down, beat them up and steal their PSP

So interesting thoughts about the PSP...but to a non-sony fanboy it doesn't look that great.

PSP to become virtual PS3

Some things that look kinda bad
Quote

Kawanishi was then asked to comment on how the PSP will evolve from here. Specifically, Nikkei asked if he feels the system will become an information terminal in the future. "It depends on what the users want," responded Kawanishi. "It already has a Web Browser, and along those lines, schedule management and mailer applications will likely appear. However, it's important that the concept not lose focus. It would be troubling to have it become a machine whose use is unknown."

Well UMD movies failed, why not scrap the games too!
Quote

"The PSP started off clearly with the position of a portable game machine," continued Kawanishi. "However, looking long term, there's the thought that it ought to become a portable network device. At that time, if there's demand for an information terminal, it is possible to take it in that direction."

OK, let's just make it a portable HardDrive with a screen
Quote

Could the PSP ever replace your cell phone? "There is a possibility," said Kawanishi. "I won't deny it. Personally, I'm interested in it. Of course, it's not the case that you can connect to wireless LAN everywhere, so you can't call it a permanent connection. But cell phones are permanently connected. Cell phones get more interesting as their data transfer rate increases, and I think it would be extremely interesting to try something like that."

Just look at the success of the N-Gage!

Sony will be demonstrating two new technological sides of the PSP at the Tokyo Game Show in September, where the system's GPS Receiver and camera will be on display. We also hope to see something regarding Sony's PlayStation emulation and e-Distribution programs.

A GPS receiver...WHY? wow, what utter useless crap in a game machine...I mean portable movie player...wait I mean.....BIG ASS MP3 player.

It better be some big news, it kinda has to be. They need to steal the Thunder from TSG a bit. PS3 is planning on doing some heavy announcing from what I've read about, so they need to make people not even care what Sony has to say.

In other words, Wii needs to attack for massive damage on Sept 14-15!

I work at the Metreon in San Francisco and I was just talking to some of the employees at the Playstation Store. They don't plan on having any demo units up until 3 days AFTER the launch at the EARLIEST!

Kinda strange that the official Playstation store won't have playable units until after the release. I remember when the PS2 came out they had one up well before the release. Even a pretty cool set-up for it in a seperate room with a big screen TV and a couch. Hell they even had PSP to try out before they came out!

Oh well. But they did say they are planning on having three PS3's set up.

Well they don't want to sell it only to non-gamers. They need to show how it can work with other games too. They need to show Madden, a FPS (probably Red Steel or MP3), and a Mario Preview AT LEAST! I would like think they'd put a demo of Rayman, Elebits, as well as a few others, but I won't get my hopes up yet.

Yeah, but think of all the little Hawthorne Heights fans (I'm sure they must have some) that would be willing to pay top dollar on ebay (like couchmonkey said)! Hell, if I won it, I'd turn around and sell it and get myself a bunch of new games for my "untainted" Wii.

I hope Hawthorne Heights is playable in SSBB.

Me too.....so I can beat the living crap out of them. Maybe just have them stand there for the "Homerun Contest"

My girlfriend, who is a massage therapist and is probably tired of hearing me talk about Wii all the time, was talking to her boss at the spa and they somehow started talking about video games.

Her boss was talking about how much she would enjoy the games if she didn't have to sit around the whole time and that whenever she plays the games she moves her arms around anyway trying to mimic the jumps and stuff. So my girl started talking about the Wii to her and all the great things that Wii is. She sounded kinda excited about the idea.

Wow, a 35 year old female massage therapist and yoga instructor is now interested in buying a Wii. Talk about reaching out to a new market!

lucky you ;-)

I was talking about her boss. My girl's a 24 year old massage therapist and yoga student,  even luckier!
