TalkBack / Re: Retro Studios Not Working on Wii U Zelda Title
« on: June 13, 2012, 10:26:27 AM »
Who else could make a new and fresh Zelda? I don't think Retro could do it.

In any case, aren't you tired of Retro sticking to remaking Nintendo franchises? I'd rather have them create a new IP.

I think this in a nut shell sums up why the 3DS did not get MW3 last year, nor has Black Ops 2 been announced for it this year. Does he seriously expect someone to be able to aim their sniper rifle by tilting the 3DS around?

So.... umm... why do I have a copy of MW3 for my DS?  There's no second circle pad *and* I can't tilt the 3DS around....

It's not a first person shooter, is it? That's what he was talking about.

That's what emulators are for. Sorry if that's against the rules, but unless you're Unclebob, you're not going to be playing those obscure games.

Hey, no need to start copying me (plus, your comeback doesn't even make any sense). ;) I was just saying that because I didn't think you could expect a Retro Zelda, considering Nintendo would never hand over one of their babies to a western developer.

Then people would start complaining about developers (or blame Nintendo somehow, you know how they are) for not utilizing it. I wouldn't want to be making some game for the 3DS then have a revision with a second circle pad where I'll feel compelled to use it, with a larger screen that will make my game look like ****, and maybe even second left/right triggers that will, like I said earlier, will make me feel coelled to use it, but will piss me off in the process. I wouldn't want to make another game for Nintendo.

It's never happened to me, but that may be because my phone's web browser bypasses any internet filter or blocks any pop up. :cool;

Hey Nintendo, stop giving me reasons not to buy the Wii U

Yes, because Nintendo has been making games for thirty years because they want you please you. I finally know why they call you "Poor Man's Immitation Ian Sane".

Adding a second circle pad makes no sense, why do people keep asking for it? It would **** up developers, who now have to start making games for it when there was only a few games that support the CPP in the first place. It would piss off US for the fact that they are already releasing one.

They wouldn't create a successor or a "third pillar" system either simply because it would, like the above situation, piss off developers and customers.

Nintendo is not that stupid. Stop acting like they are.

I just tested and neither of the classic controllers have click sticks
They better flip the button layout if this is to replace the classic controller as only 2 confirmed vc consoles(the n64 and incoming gamecube) use analog sticks.

It isn't supposed to be a classic controller. Look at the title of this topic: do you see "classic controller"?

I recommend both of them. Compared to any other children's cartoon, both shows breath new life into Saturday Morning Cartoons. Great action, superb Korean animation, top-notch voice acting, and a bit of humor that I find charming. However, considering my age compared to your's, it may not be for you.

I need help with this question too. I *want* a nice laptop for college to do some word processing, internet brwsing, crap ton of music and multimedia, and of course, video games. I only plan on having it run the eight games from the Humble Indie bundle. Any computers that you think can do all that for cheap? I'mgoing for as cheap as possible.

It depends on the episode. The original series had up to five different animation companies at a time. Obviously, some were superior to others.

You've seen my Koh's rant, right? Here's the tl;dr version: spirits are not evil. Each one is in charge of a worldly duty. We don't know what Koh's is for sure, but we can assume that he is some kind of world-balance-checker. He killed Avatar Kuruk's wife because Kuruk was shirking on his Avatar duties. Does that make him evil enough to "liberate" Republic City? No.

And in any case, if the Spirit World wanted to liberate the city, they'd just destroy it. They don't seem like they have a "plan". Hei Bei and the Water Spirit come to mind.

You've never heard of Avatar: The Last Airbender nor it's sequel series, the Legend of Korra? That's...actually quite surprising. Usually even someone remotely familiar with the internet has had some sort of exposure to the shows.

I agree with everything you said, UncleBob.

And btw, after rewatching the episode in HD, I learned that the small fight when Korra breakes out of the box and when she attacks Amon is some of the most fluid and beautiful animation that I've seen in a cartoon since a Miyazaki film.

It used to be called Good People Die and is now called Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and will apparently release on both 3DS and Vita.

Where did you get it? I'm interested in it and it's sequel, but I haven't been able to find it.
