TalkBack / Re: Amazon Instant Video, YouTube Apps Now Available on Wii U
« on: November 23, 2012, 12:16:31 PM »
I mean the Upad needs a switch on it that allows you to turn the backlight off... Which is just what I said. Not sure how much clearer I could be.

Although the software should be able to take care of this also. Seriously, use the YouTube app. Why is the screen on the pad even on? No touch controls, you can't watch the vids on it, so why? To waste the frickin' battery, that's why. Which reduces actual play time which makes Hulk angry! Same with Netflix. Although you can watch the vids on the pad which is handy, when I watch a movie on the TV I sure as hell don't need the pad sitting there lit up for nothing.

It's bullcrap is what I'm saying.

What we needed was a way to easily turn the Umote screen off. Like with a switch.

Easy there, sonny. As an "older" generation gamer I can safely say that it's not too complex for me.

This is bull honkey. I don't think I'll be using the eShop to avoid running into this in the future.

Yeah right... I'm such a sucker I'm sure I will.

But the games were designed before the actual game was developed! How could you mess that up?

My kids loved it. Definitely a must-see for them. For me I'd call it 'worth it'.

Was kinda stoked to check out the movie game because I figured it'd be like the old Tron arcade game with different modes based on the movie, but apparently not. :|

Old Navy lives at the mall(s) where I live. Free SMBWU on Black Friday = still not worth it.

But my VC and Wii ware are on an SD card.... now WTF?

Also, I plan to keep my Wii, so why would I want to cripple it? Can I not have both?

This is one thing that Apple trumped the crap out of everybody on with the iTunes Music Store. Attach the content to the user then let the user authenticate their devices. It's not at all worthwhile to buy eShop titles vs. retail because I can't load it on the multiple 3DS's I have in my house. Opportunity *missed*, Nintendo!

Oh I remember this one. One of my favorite games for sure. Even that mother humper Culex because the hours it took to beat his ass really made me enjoy it when I finally did. The humor, the settings, the characters, the easter eggs, the music, the management system, everything was done really well.

Even now I keep Fight Against Monsters (the battle music) in my roster of ring tones.

Yeah, Prime one would give me the heebie-jeebies. Excellent set of games, those.

The catacombs in Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. You'd hear the Leapers coming in the dark and then *BOOM!* a Purlin busts through the wall right in front of you.

Javascript can easily bog down a small CPU. I'm not sure if the tablet would have to do any heavy lifting, but I would guess so since you can browse with it while doing something else with the TV.

I thought I read Adobe **** canned Flash lite anyway. Probably because no one wants to touch it with battery operated devices for good reason.

It's a shame that there are no wiimote+ (which means you can kills support for IR aiming in shooters goodbye) and sensor bar in any package.
Wait, WTF? BOOOO!  >:(

I'm pretty sure the formula is:

blocks = utterly useless data capacity descriptor

I think I'll be waiting for a Wii U version for my next AC endeavors. Mostly because I have a full house that had fun playing the Wii version.

Life after Miyamoto? I don't think so. Being a creative, hopefully he will always have (or desire to have) Nintendo as an outlet for his ideas.

All you have to do is watch him talk about what he has to show you. He isn't a meat puppet like Reggie or a suit like Iwata. Rare is the instance a guy like Miyamoto has so much pull in a global industry.

You youngins don't remember exactly how badass the movie was when it came out. /me equaled totally blown away by it. Seriously one of those "Wow!" flicks.

Unfortunately for us old folks this game can never have that impact because that impact was already made. Plus /me equals far from a survival/horror fan.
