Camelot hasn't disappointed in a handheld Mario tennis yet. I expect it to be a must have for me.

*meh*

Picked up Dr. Mario Express last month, but held out on Majora's Mask. Partly because the Wii is waning and I haven't heard whether WiiWare will run on the next console.

Plus I want to save my coins for more delicious schwag.

Super Circuit doesn't cut it. It was crippled back then but now after several releases with control that surpasses it it's really only for Fans.

Love Wario Ware. The multi-player games in it are nothing short of ingenious. I say Everyone.

Fire Emblem is great RPG/RTS fun, but I have too hard a time losing any allies. I want them to all survive, but that is proving beyond my capability. :(

Didn't play Kirby, Metroid or Yoshi, but Wario Land has definitely proved to be still worthwhile.

I'm surrently playing Skyward Sword so I don't want to start Minish Cap yet. No idea how it's aged but I'll be jumping on it soon enough.

Though I must gripe about not being able to put the system to sleep and freeze the game state of the GBA VC. Why was this not possible???  >:(

Wanna see me run to that mountain and back? Wanna see me do it again?

If they would have counted as a DVD I would have been all over the game rentals. C'est la vie.

Doesn't the Nyko PowerPak work with Japanese 3DS's?
Yeah, but it's only about 2x the battery capacity, not 4x. Though it's a lot cheaper too.
Exqueeze me? I'm pretty sure 3 to 5 hours up to 10 hours would make this one 2x as well. Though I didn't look up the actual capacity of the Nyko battery...

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Demands Take Down of Icon Games's Sales Numbers
« on: January 06, 2012, 09:26:11 AM »
Who Games? No matter how much BS Nintendo's number policies may seem to us, all I hear are sour grapes about something these guys must have agreed not to do beforehand.

Something I never hear in all this "exposure" and "advertising" talk is that game pages should have better media (full rez screenshots and *gameplay video*) available to the user. Especially in lieu of actual demoes / time limited free licenses. To me, as a user, this is the biggest short coming of it. Sure you can find videos on the Nintendo Channel, but that's not where anyone goes to look for gameplay video even when you know that's where they may be. It's an unnecessary middle step that, given the eShop, I expect will be fixed in the Wii U.

At any rate, looking at all the numbers, the WiiWare numbers were not all that bad when compared to the others. Not sure how much it costs on WiiWare, but "Family Games Fun" (maybe not the same game) costs $0.00 in iTunes. I kinda don't blame Nintendo for not liking hard sales data mixed in with inflated freebie data. Would you rather have 14,000 sales or 19,000 giveaways?

TalkBack / Re: Wii U to Feature an App and E-Book Store?
« on: January 04, 2012, 09:19:07 AM »
They shouldn't even try to compete, just put a good web browser in it and make any "app" (like the store itself) easy and intuitive to use. We all know where the bar is for usability and functionality in a tablet device. Falling short of that will do them anything but good. Usability they can match, functionality they never could.

Have all updates include new features or whatever, not just anti-piracy stuff.

Moar freebeez! Even limited time ones.

Knock off the "binding legal contract" EULA baloney! But this goes for the entire internet.

What the dealio with no sleep mode for these puppies? Not even the Home button will freeze the game state. The NES VC games the Home button brings you to the suspended software 3DS main menu. Even DSiWare games will freeze when you push the Home button.

*face-palm*

Other than that this was an awesome bonus. One that we (early adopters) were 100% entitled to the moment Nintendo stated we were. *face-palmx2*

TalkBack / Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Stepping Down from His Position at Nintendo
« on: December 08, 2011, 01:02:10 AM »
Is it sad that I almost cried until i read the article?
Not at all. The headline is total click bait.

Miyamoto has been one of very few to deeply affect the way we interact with technology, the way we see technology and entertainment, the way it becomes woven into our culture and our lives. He has a certain undefinable quality shared by the likes of Steve Jobs. Watching guys like that talk about something they want to show you is worlds different than when a salesman or other meat puppet tries to do it (I'm looking at you, Reggie!). He was in tune with the way a thing should be and luckily for us could get it done that way.

I'm as interested as anyone in what he may come up with, but this (losing the wide reaching direct influence of a creative giant) is still a blow to the future of gaming. Though I'm glad, or at least truly hope, that he'll be getting out with his health intact. To him I say cheers, thank you, and please keep in touch.

I couldn't imagine a game like this online. If a single match lasts at least a half hour you'll end up putting in a lot of time to win just to have some POS rage quit. Happened in Club House games all the time. So much so I quickly gave up even trying.

TalkBack / Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review
« on: November 22, 2011, 08:05:32 PM »
How is there a complaint about Wii controls? Pointer control is the best for FPS hands down, no contest. Not only that but with the Wii remote / nunchuk I don't have to stop moving or aiming to do anything. You can move + aim and reload, melee, toss grenades, crouch, jump, sprint, etc. It is THE *best* for FPS.

Multiplayer on this went backwards to W@W standards. Black Ops destroys it in playability and visually. Although it seems they may have made a trade off in terms of objects on screen VS graphics. Black Ops and previous versions had less environment objects but smoother, seemingly higher res textures where as MW3 is the opposite. The jitters and lag make MW3 pretty much unplayable to me.

Haven't even started single player and probably won't. I love the stories in the original CoD(s). The mid 20th century was (let's hope) the zenith of mans inhumanity to man and tales of battles against it are gripping.
