Downloaded Mutant Mudds and I have been loving it. It reminds me of classic Mega Man games. Must remember not to chuck the 3DS across the room.

I had heard of this game as a child, but never got around to playing it. I got it as an Ambassador Game and I have enjoyed it, it is not my favorite game, but I am glad they released it. I will say I was very confused because I did not realize that the ladders could be destroyed and I could not figure out for the life of me why the level would not end.

I think the pins are cool, although I can not manage to fit them onto my shelf right now. I have not intentions of wearing them unless I manage to pick up a second set cheap some where. I was hoping for a Zelda item, but hey, maybe next year right?

I am kind of curious what everyone else's Nintendo shelf looks like, I thought I was the only one with one.

Added all of the Connectivity guys, mine is 2921 9252 1737. If anyone else adds me just lmk.

Just finished the episode and I really wish you had someone who was less impressed with Zelda during the discussion, I think it would have livened it up a little and opened up some ideas. I too somehow missed the shake the Wii Mote to climb while flying thing and it really ticked me off. I really think this is my least favorite of every Zelda game I have ever played, and I have only skipped the oracle and CDI games. I think once the newness wears off and people look at it with fresh eyes they will see it does not stand up at all. I spent more time frustrated than enjoying the game.

I must admit I was unsure on Skylanders, but my son loved them and my mom got the game and a few figures for him for Christmas. He loves and after playing it with him so do I. My only complaints are that you can not find the figures anyway right now, they are completely sold out. Also that they put rare silver "chase" ones into the mix, which makes adults buy them up and act worse than the kids. Great game though.

After hearing a few staff members voicing their displeasure over Mighty Switch Force I am surprised it made this list, especially over Pushmo. I really feel that Pushmo was the best Nintendo game to come this year, over even Zelda. I am a die hard Zelda fan boy (I bought the 3DS one before I even knew IF I was getting the system so I could get the soundtrack) and I feel Skyward Sword is garbage. If I ever meet whoever decided that harp mini game was a good idea I will probably end up in prison.

Meanwhile I have been loving Pushmo, I can honestly say I could have bought the 3DS just for it and been happy. Shame it did not make the list, but oh well.

I don't think beating it is good enough, I think he should have to complete the game. 100% everything in it. It should be something like Xenoblade or a huge game like that.

I am still absolutely kicking myself for not picking up Radiant Historia when I saw it on the shelf at a local Gamestop. I had not idea the game would be available for such a short time. I walked away thinking "I will just get it for Christmas, no since buying it now when I do not have time to play it." Sadly with the price it is going for now I will probably never get the chance to play it.

Thanks for the points card guys, Pushmo rocks. I never would have heard about the game if not for you guys.

I am not sure your first Mario Kart clouds the picture as much as you seem to think it does. I played the first one a lot, but never owned it. Mario Kart 64 is still my favorite of the franchise, every other game in the series has something in it that just ruins the game for me. I do enjoy Double Dash a lot though as that is the first game I really got my wife into playing with me.

The problem for me is I have fairly severe motion sickness when playing first person games. I was never able to play any of the Metroid Prime games because of it and I love Metroid. If they take Zelda first person I would not be able to play it. So Zelda in first person would suck for me.

As long as they do not take it first person that would awesome. If it goes first person it will royally suck for me.

I own Wario Ware, Mario Kart and Metroid, never played the rest of them. I did not like Mario Kart at all, the other two I love. I have been trying to score some of the other games (Zelda especially) on ebay, so this works out perfectly for me. I am another of the $169.99 club who got a steal.

« on: December 02, 2011, 03:55:42 PM »
I think Nintendo is releasing the game in a limited manner because they know it will not be a monster hit. This way those who want it can get it easily, but they do not have to risk a bunch of cash printing enough for every store to get copies. An excellent technique I feel and I hope they make enough money trying this to do again with other games.

Am I the only one who has had a heck of a time with the controls in Skyward Sword? So far I have not been enjoying the game much because the system does not seem to recognize what I am telling it to do. The first boss took me at least a half hour to fight because I would motion one swipe and the game would interpret another. I wonder if I hold the Wiimote wrong or something?

I am with you Ian, I stopped playing Mario Kart Wii because of that issue and Mario Party as well. I wish Nintendo would stop using a cheating computer as the only method of increasing the difficulty as well. MK Wii is the only game in the series I never finished all of the cups because I got sick and tired of having the lead on the last lap and getting hit with red and blue shells constantly.

Podcast Discussion / Re: Episode 10: Remembering Some Big Damn Trucks
« on: November 28, 2011, 06:47:25 PM »
Listening to this made me kind of sad I missed Excite Truck. It was always just outside the list of games I really wanted so I never received it as a gift. I saw it really cheap on clearance at Target and debated picking it up, but as it was close to Christmas I just strongly hinted that it was a good deal and I would really like it. Unfortunately I never got it.

I passed up on Excitebots at first but after hearing you guys raving about it coincided with finding that marked down to insane levels I decided to grab it. I am glad I did as my wife, son and I all love racing each other in it. I actually think it is much better than Mario Kart Wii.

TalkBack / Re: How I Got My GameCube - A Remembrance of a System Launch
« on: November 19, 2011, 08:06:01 PM »
I wanted a Gamecube at launch but did not have the extra cash to spend due to my wedding and my parents decided I was too old for games so I did not get one at Christmas. About a year after the system launched I came home from work and my wife told me she had something in the trunk of her car and asked me to bring it in. I went to get it (expecting something REALLY heavy) and much to my surprise there was a Gamecube waiting for me. Unfortunately she did not get me a game so we ran out to the local Blockbuster to grab a game. The only game that was interesting to me that I could afford at the time was Legends of Wrestling.

I find it funny, out of all the consoles I own the Gamecube is close to being the one I own the most games for, yet there are so many games on these top 10 lists I have never played. Yet the system has reputation for not having many quality games.

These lists always end up getting me in trouble. I always end up on ebay trying to find deals on the games I missed out on and get in trouble with the wife for buying more games.

@Razorkid I feel that most of them are overpriced for what you are getting. Why spend $4 on a 20 year old game that might keep me busy for an hour at best? I got Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies for free on my phone and they keep me busy for weeks at least. I could see a buck for the old GB games but Nintendo is too greedy right now.
