But then you have to pay for the cake, only to find out that it's nothing special.  You've had cake, right?  You know what to expect.

I'd rather have one, cheap, but really good cupcake, with revolutionary cupcake features.

READY GO

These specs are pretty dissapointing, I guess.  Personally I don't really care.  It's more powerful than the GC, and honestly with compelling software I wouldn't have cared if it were the same as the GC.  I just wanted to say that while one of the main benefits of this harware is price, I really doubt we'll see even a $150 launch price, never mind you crazy $100 theorists.  This is going to save Nintendo a bunch of money on manufacturing, but how much of that money will be passed on to us?  I think it'd be pretty stupid to launch at $100.

Personally I'm predicting around a $199 launch, which is still pretty cheap.  I also think it's a high possibilty that we'll be getting some sort of demo with it, and/or maybe some kind of coupon for the Virtual Console.  So yeah, uhhh.  The end.

Finally, here's a question to anyone who's played Yoshi's Island on GBA--do the controls suffer at all from losing two buttons (compared to the SNES version)?

Not at all, it controls just fine.  I can't remember all the buttons on the SNES version either, all I know is I switch between the GBA and SNES versions without a problem, it's pretty natural.  GBA controls: A is jump, B is tongue, and R starts the moving egg reticule.  Hit R again to shoot it, or press L to lock the reticule and then R to shoot it.  There's another control scheme you can use that mucks around with the egg controls, but it's still pretty much the same.

I say pick up the GBA version if only because it's portable, but still it controls fine.

I never said the game would be improved, but it's pretty obvious now that they ARE going to use that control scheme from Prime 3 (although I still think they'll include a lock on...), so we're going to have to live with it.  People in this thread were saying that they were worried about how Prime 3 would turn out after playing Hunters, but I think Prime 3 will turn out much more like a Metroid game than Hunters did, and that they shouldn't worry.  It'll still control like an FPS, but since the other Metoid factors will be back in the game, it won't be such a big deal (plus I really think the controls with the Remote will be better than in Hunters anyway)

Yeah, basically the adventure mode isn't up to par.  It's still pretty fun, but only when I need a break from the faster action of WiFi (although I don't play much WiFi either because none of my friends are ever online >=o).

I have no worries about Prime 3 though.  First of all, this game is NST, the REAL Prime is Retro.  Second of all, a lot of the negatives have to do with the storage restrictions, which we won't see on the Rev.  Sure, you'll still get that different combat, but I think it'll be fine so long as the other Metroid factors find a way back.  This game is obviously a multiplayer game at heart, and it does a fantastic job at it.  I'm still quite amazed when I play Hunters and realize that I'm playing a handheld game.

oh ahahah I just used the example number they gave

So what, you have to sign up at e-games.com.my, and give them some ID **** or something?  Do I have to do this?  Because even if I wanted to I pretty much don't have any ID.

If I have to do that, well then that's pretty retarded, and I'm going to go back to playing flash flash revolution.

Hey, I've got one for you losers:

You're in a room.  No windows or doors.  All you have is a mirror.  How do you get out?

I don't think anyone can get this unless they've already heard it,  because the answer sucks so much.  It's from like second grade

Not gonna do those because they're all old and I've heard all of them (the last one happens to be my favorite riddle of all time =o)

Actually, no, I've never heard number 4, but the answer is obviously hit the fucking door down.

Well, whatever.  Ty sucks.

1165
Go ahead, I mean it's not like you could possibly have a worse taste in games than SUPER.  Even if you think Metroid is boring, Ty still hates Zelda >=U

For what Nintendo's trying to accomplish, I think they've done it near perfectly.  Including the way they handled friend codes

Holy ****.

Even with rotating pieces the highest I've gotten is level 19 :P (152 lines, I think).  I guess I'm just so bad that the rotating piece thing doesn't "break" the game for me >_>

No, the change to digital over-the-air broadcasts is mandated by law, not high definition

I just wanted to say that I love you, so many people don't realize this and just think digital = HD.

I think it's because this game is awesome and shut up.

Actually, it's because from what we've seen, this game has what are essentially 2D dungeons.  Then it's got 3D other stuff.  Best of btoh worlds, plus hawt graffx.

Oh hawt, just played my first Friends game against Pale.  I'm still experimenting with the characters, but Spire's morph-form kicks a lot of ass.  We tied for first, but unfortunatley the match came at a bad time and I had to go...

I find it funny that I was excited about trying out the voice chat but when I actually had the chance to I was way too shy =\
