I preordered from gamestop back in july.  I just checked and they have my order status as back ordered.  that doesn't mean sqaut to me, because they take forever to send me email that it has shipped, or to update the status in my account too.  I have no idea when I will get it.  I know not today.

Anyways, I'm on the fourth island...though I beat the boss of the third island, I feel as if things are unresolved.  I'm guessing I'll be revisiting past areas?

I bought 99 Keys and 99 Hamburgers (or is it Cheeseburgers?  I forget) only to find that burgers suck because they take so long to digest, which is not good in a boss battle situation when you're bashing away and requiring constant healing.  Looks like Herbs are the best bet, I should stock up on 99 of those!

Potions, while costing more, heal more and have a short digest speed, like 5 secs or something.  Herbs heal 30 IIRC and potions heal 80 or something.

I guess it depends on the store and what there policy is and whether or not they have it available before the game's release date.  Some stores in the past have given out pre-order bonuses when he made the pre-order, while some you get when the game comes out.

do you have good karma or bad karma?  Because you can be both good or evil!

I've played FFIII and the game is not as hard as some people make it.  Granted it isn't a cake walk like the Final Fantasy of today, people have to remember that it was a NES game.  The game is made easy if you use the job system right.  Certain bosses and areas are better handles with certain jobs.

no, if you try and eat something else and your "tummy" is already full or too full for what item you want to eat, it just tells you that you can't eat anything else right now.

I pre-order everything I really want, i do this automatically, since it's easier to have them shipped to me instead of me going out of my way to a store to buy a game.  especially now since that I live in Colonial Beach and there is nothing around here, the Wal*mart is in Fredericksburg, and I haven't been there yet. So online is the way to go.

You control Terry as you would any other game character, but the feel is that you are not actually playing as terry, but as an outside controlling terry.

The game is fun.  It has a Final Fantasy 2 level up system, fight to get stronger, get hit to increase hp.  And you can't just keep using healing items carte blanche, you have a digestive system that can only hold so much, and each item has it's own time limit before it is digested.  some like herbs only fill up a little bit and last for a short period of time, but like cheeseburgers take a couple minutes.

There's going to be a marathon on Sunday, so maybe I will catch up.  I only saw the first episode, but missed the others.

Rocket Slime is generally easy through out the game, but the finale is where the game gets its teeth.

In this case, the interface and basic battle system design inherently destroy my enjoyment of the game.

can't you set up the gambit's or whatever to give you that complete control.  I remember reading that you can have complete control over all party members if you want.

I got a free small soda /or small coffee piece, and then another time I got a best buy dollar on my chicken club sandwich.

It's fraud to have a contest that is fixed that no one can win the prizes, all or any.  McDonald's has to print up every piece, but the total numbers of them is different.  If no one collects all the right pieces then that's fine.  But for them to just not print up all the required pieces is fraud.

What I find wrong is that in the past you could find pieces everywhere, in newspaper and on just about anything you got from McDonald's, but know you have to buy the more expensive sandwiches, and it's been years since I was able to find free pieces in the Sunday paper.

No offense, but I think I will wait until I play the game at the end of the month to decide for myself.  I played the demo that came with DQ8 and the only issue I had with the demo was trying to use items in battle, everytime I tried to use one, the character I was controller kept trying to run back to the monster that I was in battle with.  I don't know if that was just somethng with the demo and how it was set up to show off a very limited aspect of the game or what.  But it wasn't anything that kept me from not playing the demo.

I played Final Fantasy XI and the reason I didn't like the game had nothing to do with the battle system itself, but how the game was unneccessairily hindered for no reason other than to deprive the user so that you would be required to stick with the game for a long period of time, thus ensuring that Square-Enix got a monthly fee month after month.  And the fact that you lost exp when you died and de-leveled if you didn't have a nice cushion of exp, which is a bad game design since you got very little exp per battle in the first place.
