Nintendo Gaming / RE:A realistic Zelda afterall?

Sidequests were optional, Actraiser- not everything is essential to complete the game.

Maybe Nintendo did ship more Gamecubes and stores sold out of them, too.

Outkast is the closest thing to rap I like (and I like Outkast a lot).

It's good because it means lots of people are buying Gamecubes. It's bad because it means no more people can buy Gamecubes.

Are we all happy now?

My playlist on Winamp right now includes songs from Pain,  At the Drive-In, The Beetles, Enya, Blink 182, Sum 41, Eiffle 65, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Something Corporate, Queen, Simon and Garfunkle, The Specials, Less Than Jake, Propaghandi, Mad Caddies, Sparta, and Reel Big Fish. If it's good, I'm listening to it.

If you like House of the Dead (the game), you'll love Typing of the Dead- seriously, it is one of the funnest games I've played in a very long time. It's definitely worth the cost of the Dreamcast keyboard alone, if you don't already have one.

REally, I like just about any music that's done well, save for rap, pop, and country- I will not listen to any of that. Otherwise, I'm completely open, although I prefer ska over most other styles.

Too often do great concepts get bogged down by sloppy execution. Case in point being Blinx- really interesting concept but it wasn't implemented well at all. Hopefully Geist does not suffer the same fate.

What I don't like is when they say The Simpsons is running out of ideas- it's impossible to run out of ideas, they're just not thinking of new ones. The Simpsons is not a lost cause- with some effort it could be as funny as it once was, perhaps even funnier.

You have a few of things wrong, Metaphysical. First, the new episodes of Family Guy are not being made for Cartoon Network, they're going to be a straight to DVD release, as will the movie, I believe. There are rumors that Fox is thinking about reviving the series due to its incredibly good DVD sales, but that hasn't been confirmed. Second, Futurama is not coming back in any way, shape, or form for Cartoon Network- Cartoon Network toyed with the idea of reviving the series, as they did with Home Movies, but each episode costs roughly $500,000 to make (as opposed to Aqua Teen's or Sealab's $20,000)- that's just too much for a small cable network. Third, Fox is not a normal business- you can't classify their horrendous actions as simple greed for money, although that does certainly play a part. If that alone were true Family Guy and Futurama would still be on the air, especially Futurama, for reasons I've already stated. Fox is, through and through, run by dolts who can't tie their own shoes much less run a television network (or movie studio, for that matter).

Yes, Resident Evil 0 is a prequel to Resident Evil 1.

How is it dirty? I don't remember Microsoft killing anyone for it? Or is it just because they're M$?? anyways...

You know what he meant- MS has a habit of just buying exclusives that the developer otherwise has absolutely no reason to put on the XBox. Case in point Sega, with Jet Set Radio Future, Shenmue 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Gunvalkrie, all of which sold horribly- I believe Bill once told me that Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, a 2 year old Dreamcast port, outsold all of those games combined. Tecmo is another example- they had a poll on their website once asking which console their fans wanted the next Ninja Gaiden to appear on. The Gamecube was first by some 30,000 votes while the XBox was dead last. Guess which console got it, though? And Tecmo says "that's where the fans are."

The developer making the game, n-Space, is based in Orlando, so expect a North American release first- no need to import.

It doesn't work in either Metroid: Zero Mission or Metroid Prime because neither game uses password system- they both use save rooms.

Advent Children? Ugh, it looks horrible- you can't take a game with an -obvious- anime style and just make it realistic! It doesn't work that way! Now Cloud looks really stupid with his spiked mustard yellow hair and gigantic knife, and Sephiroth just looks girly (even more so). Whereas with an anime style none of that would look strange, with a realistic style it all looks very out of place. Square has been quite money hungry lately- I hope they curb that soon.

The rights were bought but the license expired, so unless somebody else decides to make a Metroid movie, it's not happening.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Burnout
« on: February 07, 2004, 01:48:55 PM »
I've heard EA has gone as far as to have one of their own studios making Burnout 3- can they legally take Burnout away from Criterion, considering EA didn't actually buy Criterion, they're just their publisher? I remember Crystal Dynamics getting into a very sticky legal wicket when they took the Legacy of Kain series away from Silicon Knights.

Konami's weird- they'll let a Nitendo 2nd party remake quite possibly their finest game to date exclusively for the Gamecube, and yet they give the XBox DDR Ultramix and Silent Hill 4? That doesn't make much sense.

Nah, they could've easily had fishing in Wind Waker- all they need to do is show the shadow of the fish, like they did with the Map Fish.

Family Guy's political humor is all unorginal and overdone, though- funny as hell, but nothing beyond that. Personally I like Seth McFarlane's previous writing endeavors, like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo, more.

Zelda's aiming really struck me as being tomb raider like, as well, since you could lock on to enemies and strafe around them, just like in Zelda.

::shudders:: It's like he's saying Lord of the Rings ripped off Dungeons and Dragons. o_O Shouldn't that be grounds for banning? I think that should be grounds for banning.

Well, if you want to play multiplayer with one controller, go right ahead. :/

Also, if your friends don't already have GBA's, it's about time to get some new friends. That is if you have any friends left- after your little scene here I doubt you're going to be playing any multiplayer games for a while.
