Can we turn this into the Metroid Prime Hunters boycott thread instead?

Maybe we could have an overarching boycott framework thread, providing fertile ground for future boycotts and vendettas to thrive upon.

I guess this is confirmation that the GC is dead and they don't trust Zelda to sell well on it alone. Nintendo says time to move on to the "new" generation.

Bill claims to hate Lindsay Lohan but fantasizes about marrying her and lovingly cavorting around the dark alleyways of his twisted internet fetishes with her.

You really shouldn't keep a diary about these things, Bill. Does Bridget know about this?

I'm promoting confusion by sticking with last month's theme.

Actually, I can't be bothered to change it.

To be more accurate, it used coca leaves, of which cocaine is an extract. Cocaine itself was never an ingredient and only appeared in trace amounts.

Today's coke uses spent coca leaves, where the cocaine has already been extracted.

Maybe he meant "relatively magnificient graphics". You know, for the Revolution.

And anyway, FFCC for the GC cheated because it looked like Xbox graphics and we all know which one is more powerful. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if more filthy cheating were going on here.

The "something in the middle" must provide resistance and recentering for the length of the system's lifespan.

None of the three console makers can guarantee that even for their console controllers, so sorry, doesn't inspire confidence in me.

There's just no way to replace the dpad with an analog stick for portables as far as I can see. The touchscreen is the closest they've come so far, but that doesn't offer resistance.

And then if the nub stops working like it should, the portable must be replaced, thus giving it the longevity of a controller.

No thanks.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Rockstar's new game coming to Rev?
« on: March 03, 2006, 12:45:18 PM »
They're seriously hyping it up to be the best game ever in their interview. I sense an unhealthy obsession with table tennis at their offices.

But yeah, this game seems custom-built for the Rev. If it doesn't get ported, Rockstar is retarded. This game would be excessively niche on the X360, but on the Rev? Not so much. It should actually feel almost exactly like playing real ping-pong.

Ian, you're basing your opinion on the Hunters demo which pretty much just features the multiplayer. Of course it doesn't feel like Metroid, just like Metroid Echoes wouldn't have felt like Metroid if all they showed was the multiplayer.

If the single player turns out to suck, I'm with you. But don't extend the demo to the full game, because the component you seem to be judging by the demo isn't featured in the demo.

Except that they worked on the single-player from the beginning but didn't show it in the demo because simple multiplayer is a lot easier to show off. It's in PGC's interview.

[Edit: It's actually in this interview. The one this thread is based on. Now I'm confused as to whether you didn't read it or just ignored it.]

Make no mistake, if that was just a bunch of words and the single-player ends up sucking you will all feel my wrath for all the inane babbling about online multiplayer, because I've been worrying about this happening for years now, and it happening to my favorite series is worse than even I imagined. Be forewarned, it will be a Paladin-Ian Sane tag team match of epic proportions.

They will be.

Xbox 360 graphics are disappointing, so I don't see how Nintendo can avoid that.

PS3 graphics will probably also be disappointing.
