Well to a point they deserve this for not releasing basically anything on Wii for 6 months and doing the same thing with 3DS. They will turn it around of course, but I almost think they forecast for these kind of drops.

Good god I love this game. 6.5 is way too harsh. All the modes they have in the game are a nice change of pace. I do agree with the 3D not doing much, but as a whole this is a fun experience. Just because it lacks Nintendo games playing on the top screen doesn't make it a bad game.

I bought a 3DS a few days prior to the price drop and got the price drop so I would have the free games and cheaper system. My list clearly looks different from most of the ones above. Also, I'm very sad that to see that none of the staffers have any of the NES games in their top 5, despite some of them having pretty low counts for their 5th game.

1) The Worlds Ends With You (14:50)
2) Pokemon Soul Silver (6:55)
3) NES Open Tournament Golf (5:58)
4) Super Mario Bros (3:30)
5) Wrecking Crew (3:17)
Yet to buy my first retail 3DS game yet, but might pick up Tetris Axis soon.

I love NES Open Tournament Golf. Probably been playing that the most out of the games thus far. Not sure why all the hate on it. Saves a decent amount of data for an NES title.
I agree Yoshi good in short bursts. Type B at least makes things interesting. I'd put DKJr. in that category as well. Not the best game, but I enjoy what there is.
Some of these though I'd feel differently about if they weren't free.
Still waiting for when we get the GBA games. Feel like we'll get them either Black Friday or Xmas Eve at this point.

Nintendo Life is probably my #1 website that I check for game reviews. How you can bash them for bashing this Breakout clone is ridiculous. It's not shovelware, but it's nothing special. And it's tied to soccer, which here in the US, might as well be women's golf.

Alright, my Wii, also a launch Wii, started acting up and finally wouldn't boot up.
I sent it in for repair, they couldn't fix it and scrapped it. I did save all the game files I could over to an SD card, but sadly any online game couldn't be saved to SD. So MHT, Brawl, Tetris Party, MKWii, Goldeneye and about 10 other games saw their files meet an untimely end.
Nintendo is replacing my Wii, though the first replacement they sent me was garbage. I'm getting try #2 on Tuesday, and I'll have to hope it actually is a perfectly working system. It has been a very painful 2.5 months without my Wii.
I would try the repair, the WiiU isn't coming out for at least a year. After the 3DS debacle, the Wii is coming out holiday 2012 at the earliest. I still have almost 20 Wii games on the shelf that still need beaten, so I couldn't go that long without a Wii. The PC, DS and 3DS just don't occupy my time like my Wii has.

I like the topic starter's ideas for the new Monsters in the ice region. I just want a new MH game on either WiiU or 3DS, perferabbly 3DS. As much as the visuals are nice, I would rather have that game be portable. I don't want to buy a PSP just for the MH games, but depending on the next announced game I may have to.
And for the clamoring of the HD version of the game, they released a PS3 upscale of the PSP game in Japan, but haven't brought it over because they don't think PS3 has an audience for it. Which makes sense, because Monster Hunter doesn't have the words Call of Duty in it, therefore no one cares.

When this is $20, I'll pick it up. Sorry Nintendo, this is my favorite game of all-time, but it's still a remake. Remakes should not cost $40. End of story.
Nice review by the way, glad to see they at least added more multiplayer levels and bots, since there is no online. If there was online multiplayer, I might have forked over the $40.
