My first response when watching the video: Seems someone doesn't use Ganondorf's kick move to recover better.

Well people are creating 30 second audio spots for a "chance" to win free stuff. It's not exactly the same as someone creating a 30 second spot and being guaranteed free stuff. There is work involved with a promise of getting nothing out of it. So I don't think it's unresonable that some might have questions related to the prizes and if its worth the effort to try for it.

If you mean from the GBA games, I'd say Milotic without doubt considering how hard it is to catch a Feebas and on top of that how hard it is to evolve it.

Thank you, I was waiting for someone to mention that... to me it looks like it's asking me if I want to lock this particular topic or not, as opposed to sending someone a message.

Well, glad to hear that you liked it. I loved the first one to death, although felt the end was way too easy, so I'm happy to hear that second looks to be a worthy addition to the series for those who enjoyed the original Baiten Katos.

the wii would be a good choice if i were say 10 years old. unfortunately im 25, so i will be shelling out the cash for the ps3. i already have 360 and absolutely love it, but the ps3 is worth it just for the blu-ray player alone not to mention some of the great games that are only on PS3. i play video games in my ltille spare time to relax, the last thing i want to do is work up a sweat playing a game that i have to flail my arms around like an bad at. sorry nintendo, but you have been dead since the release of nintendo 64.

Yep, and that they *might* include the emulated games with the remakes. *Might*. So this whole topic is way, way off base. Sadly, it seems most aren't even reading the story or the following topics pointing this out either. :-S

I'd be surprised if either of them ever achieved more popularity than Laserdiscs did in the United States, which I'm sure neither of them is going for.

Neither of them is really taking note either the history of Laser Discs, and how the only market those ever succeeded in was Japan. Why? Because they were actually cheaper than VHS, something that neither format has over DVD. To that point, if consumers weren't willing to pay more for Laserdiscs versus VHS, why would either of these high definition DVDs take higher priority over regular DVDs?

It's more than just a customer. If someone leaves your establishment angry you can be assured that they will spread negative word of mouth about the business, which can cost the firm far more than just the repeat sales of one individual over time (case in point, UncleBob's ordeal with Overstock.com and the reaction of those who read it).

As for the situation at hand... I would have utilized that $50 worth of "store credit" without even a second thought to the matter ;-)

I'm probably going to pick this one up about the same time as the Wii... can anyone give any general comments about how it compares to the first? Better, worse, or pretty much exactly the same?

Well I think the pictures speak for themselves:

Oddly enough I got these from the Weinstein company too (for what ever reason I was put on their press release send out list for my site...), which I only mention as their press release with it made me laugh after looking at the pictures:

"Check out these HOT stills of Jaime Pressly and the other girls from DOA: Dead Or Alive: [link removed]
Let me know when you post…remember DOA: Dead Or Alive out in theatres OCTOBER 20.

Thanks! "

I wouldn't be surprised if Scorsese's films never net him an Oscar, which would eventually lead to their token "Life Time Achievement" award, aka their "oops, we passed up your best films and some of cinema's best offerings... umm... here ya go".

Same thing happened to Akira Kurosawa, whose films only won technical awards like "best costumes". Honestly, though, you could fill several topics about all of the "injustices" that have gone on since the Oscars started.

Now that's awesome, great to see this coverage start to seep into the mainstream now. Most companies would kill for what Nintendo got to do there too, which was more or less a video advertorial (editoral which acts like an ad).

I didn't really play much of the SNES one, mostly the N64 for me so what sticks in memory is the awesome "ULTIMATE... COMBOOOOOoo...!"

Still, this was easily my favorite franchise from Rare, other than Donkey Kong Country I suppose. I always loved the characters from this fighting game, and still very much wish Nintendo had been cut throat and kept the rights to this series as I wouldn't have minded seeing another firm handle a sequel.

The film made WAY more than $100,000, which is nothing for a wide releasing film either. At last count, it was at $33 million in the United States, which is not great considering it cost $33 million to make and then another sum to market along with the fact that the studio will only see about 50-60% of that gross. It will of course make a profit on DVD, but that's not the ideal situation for any theatrical picture.

I'm fairly sad about that too as I generally wanted the picture to succeed, but oh well.

Like Disney would ever let this fall into public domain. If they did, then other companies would logically release it, and if that's what you are trying to avoid then you will continue to pay to ensure it doesn't happen.

A film company I follow, Toho, has a huge catalogue of titles, including two of them that are considered "banned" for their representation of the Ainu and the other for how it treats victims of a nuclear attack. They ensure, though, that all of their properties don't fall into public domain in any market, and if they can do so then it's hard to fathom that an even larger company like Disney wouldn't be doing the same thing.
