Is that so... then I should try again, and properly employ the Scientific Method (that thing you hear about in that place with teachers and stuff).

But I'm kinda busy playing Beach Spikers and working on my ED trailer, GAR!

It is on me.

You're not He-Man.  I don't know if that's for better or worse.
Maybe I should keep my mouth shut, or was that hands tied?  or stop thinking?

I also just got my copy of May 2004 Famitsu Wave DVD.  My precious....

If you let Meryl walk into the bathroom, without her noticing you, she'll have pants on cuz she's "anticipating" your arrival and you "gave her"  the chance to setup her little trap.

If you make contact with Meryl outside the bathroom, be it in the hall or in the office, she'll run into the bathroom, and of course you follow right behind her.  This way, you sorta catch her off guard, and she'll only have time to ditch her current uniform, leaving her vulnerable and pantsless.

BTW, if you hit Meryl, like with the M9, and you have Snake immediately lie prone, she'll give'em a good football kick.  Snakes prefers it rough.

I'm beginning to think I should import the JPN Tales of Symphonia just see/hear the Starry Heavens song applied the way it was originally intended.

Silly Namco should've given us the option to hear that instead of whatever substitute they're using.

Can anyone give me a quick and descriptive opinion on Sega Soccer Slam?  I feel like buying that.

kingvudu:  HAHAHAHAA You're right!  That's some ironic, funny stuff.  We could've gotten a laughter-filled 3rd ending...
Liquid:  "Dammit, Ivan!  Look what you did!  You killed MYY Brotherr, and took away my chance for revenge for him taking away my earlier chance for revenge in Zanzibar Land!
Ocelot:  "Sorry Boss, I didn't think he'd give up so easily..."
Liquid:  "What's that whistling sound..."
[something massive is falling toward Shadow Moses at an increasingly high speed.]
Liquid & Ocelot: ".... oh-no..."
...

Hey Berny, which part with Meryl's undies are you talking about?  I know (I've only played on NORMAL mode) that finding Meryl in her undies during your 2nd rendevous with her is something you had to trigger, and it can be reasoned why she'd have her pants on or not (not for Snake of course, cuz he's uh confused).

And here's something everyone could try at home:  When Snake and Meryl can run around together, shoot Meryl with the M9.  OK, besides that, make Snake continuously walk up against Meryl and make sure their game models/bodies maintain contact.  (Snake, you brute!)

Have fun!

Yeah, the fact that Starry Heavens was taken out of the U.S. version of ToS sucks balls.

Look at Capcom... they left ALL the zany Japanese voice samplings/dialogue intact in Mega Man Network Transmission, and used english subtitling throughout.  I know it's not the best example since MMNT doesn't have a substantial amount of dialogue worth listening to, but didn't that save Capcom a lot of time and money?!  Sure it did!  Why can't you be more like them, Namco Pac-Man dimwits?

I'm off-topic, OMG!

If we fused the King of Red Lions and Epona, we would get Mr. Ed -- a vehicular mammal that won't shutup.  Tada!

Great, now I'm hearing about Ghost Recon 2 on consoles.

When will this "Tom Clancy + Ubi Soft + GameCube = forgettable port" curse be broken?

As far as Pandora Yesterday is concerned, like Ian said we'd better get this half price, or get twice the missions and better graphics.  Multiplayer is apparently a major component to the game, just as I never see my roommate touch the single player campaign in SOCOM II.

As King Arthur from the Monty Python film would say, "Ubi-Soft, you make me sad.  So be it!  Come, Patsy!"

Man, I went back and played Beach Spikers for a few hours last nite: Great game.  The camera and the controls need a little fine-tuning here and there, but they're forgivable.  The way it lets you employ varied and meaningful volley strategy thanks to light/med/strong hits makes it a lot like Mario Tennis, which is a definitely a good thing (the wholly unrealistic and dumbed down hit mechanics of Virtua Tennis makes me vomit).  2-on-2 multiplayer is simply great for a "LOL" time, since it's easy to pick-up and easy to begin thinking strategically in.

The create-a-team/player mode's another good feature that's kept me busy for a while, trying to design the best pair of umm, pigtailed princesses to rule the beach with.  Yeah.

This is a game I thought should've made it to "player's choice" status since the multiplayer is definitely valuable.  I'd rather have this than Agent Under Fire.

First you buy-out Redstorm Entertainment... Then you come out with Rainbow Six: Raven Shield with dumbed-down team controls, silly physics, and so-so AI.... Then you bring us Rainbow Six 3, taking away our beloved team roster, making us use dumb-looking characters who don't wear helmets in urban combat situations (did "training" and "safety" go out the window!? realistic, my ass)  and finally give us a GameCube version that doesn't even have a LAN option.

Thanks Ubi-Soft, this is another game i'm not buying.

How the heck did that ever become a Player's Choice title?

eheheheh, you both misread me.   I just wanted to comment that my Super Nintendo acquired the 3rd color of spinnach green.

A small initial factor why the Super Nintendo was a big deal was it was "Nintendo" and it was "Super," which makes you think it's pretty #@%#% amazing since we were building off of the NES era.

~~~~~~~~~
The promotion of the Indigo color I'd say was a bad marketing idea.  I don't know why, but BRIGHT NEON GREEN is such an attention-getter.  This seems to make sense cuz for some reason I always see Xbox stuff close to the entrance of game stores/departments while the GameCube stuff is shoved far into the back.  What's up with that?
And yes, Super Nintendo's awesome line-up is responsible for its success.
I wondered why GameCube wasn't faring "remarkably" well at retail prior to the big price cuts.
Obscure launch commercials that didn't show enough beautiful gameplay footage, especially for a game like Rogue Leader?
Nintendo's initial insistence on promoting the name "Nintendo GameCube," putting focus on the company name rather than the product.  I don't remember seeing "Nintendo Game Boy Advance" publically touted as much as "Nintendo GAMECUBE".  I just plain see "Game Boy Advance."  What's up with that?
Nintendo's "slow" support of 3rd party developer/publishers (2002 was fairly dry in this respect), lacking in development and advertising support (much unlike the Namco/Square/Capcom/Konami deals we've got now)?  Then there's the sports games issue...
Early U.S. SHORTAGE SHORTAGE SHORTAGE SHORTAGE SHORTAGE of retail supply?  Competing game platforms were able to replenish their stock much sooner than Nintendo did in my area, as I vaguely remember.
Droughts of TV commercials?  Hey, even if the game isn't all that, commercials help the platform name get across, right?
Nintendo Power sucks?
Not enough demo discs (and other promo footage) that greatly help showcase 3rd party products (OH WAIT we wouldn't want that now would we, because that would just end up overshadowing Nintendo's first-party products, like Wario World)?
Nintendo Power sucks?
One more point I'd like to make is none of the above points are, I believe, dependent on violent game content.
Even when using the M9, Ocelot still drops after 4 head-shots.
Using Pentazemin(sp?) wasn't even necessary against Gun-Girly in both fights.  But I'm pretty upset that using the PSG-1T exclusively during "Round 2" doesn't change the cinematic outcome.  I mean, Hal could've shown her some of his "stealth moves" too.
The Super Nintendo was grey with purple highlights.
If you waited 5 or so years, the bottom half becomes spinnach green.
Mario Golf is nicely mature enough.  Checkout Peach's skirt.
I like looking for triggers to differences in the cutscenes, like "Meryl's pants/unmentionables", and Snake's reaction in his first confrontation with Meryl.
Is it me, or did first-person shooting make the fight with, umm, "Ivan," rediculously easy?
It's online, it's an *RPG*, it's on GameCube -- and it's not graphically stunning.  Are we getting the short end again somewhere...?
Online stuff looks interesting tho, and the people look funny, which is a plus.
