I'm a pilot, not a comedian. What the hell do you want from me.  :'(

Lets see what you got.

I won't train any of you, but I will happily scare the brown out of you given the chance.

As for the bill for my training... I try not to think about it. I expect it to top 75000 NZD. Still better than Med students and none of the Goatse.

As for money, I will more than likely be rolling in it as long as I don't fly in the U.S.A.

That joke is, I don't use a stick, I have a yoke for double the pleasure.

Here is a free one. Why is a cockpit called a cockpit? Because it is full of males.

I am a licensed, card carrying fixed wing pilot. Please begin harassing me as to how I like to handle my stick.

An easier solution for the next generation is to simply release the same American NTSC console in to all english speaking territories. US, NZ, AUS, UK Canada, all under the same banner. Non english countries will have to wait anyway and you can't buy a TV that can't interpret NTSC in PAL areas. If you have a TV that can't use NTSC that TV has to be at least 20 years old.

I also don't care whether it is North American english, english english, or just plain bad english. It's all english. I don't care whether it is spelt center or centre. Although I would like my measurements in metric, I think I can live. Hey wait, the Japanese use metric.  :o >:( :o

Saints Row has so much unintentional comedy in it. The plot's a joke, the voice acting wooden. The physics engine inspires God to play dice.

When I played it I pretty much ignored the main plot. I was way too busy finding the next bug or idiot moment. I mean load up a hummer full of home boys and drive into a gang war. Absolute frame rate killing mayhem. Also RPGing helos. Satire at it's finest.

Who really shot first in Star Wars.

They need to make a game based off The Running Man.

They already did that; it was called Manhunt.

Are you sure about that? Because that is nothing like The Running Man. You know, that future game show that kills political dissidents. Arnold. Explosive collars.

Could U.S. game developers please refrain from making too many military-ish games.

I mean if we all think of Japanese developers as childish, naive, and possibly perverted... how does that make the U.S. to everybody else?

Eerrr. Gun Nuts? You know the type that needs that full auto assault weapon for those "Aggressive" Dears.

Star Wars!

Now your just trolling.

They need to make a game based off The Running Man. Only more violent and with 1000% more guns. Start the game fighting Gladiators and move on to fighting the government.

Good to see something that's not GTA, hell, not even a game get some press time. There is more to life than shooting hookers.

I guess nuking things from orbit isn't the way to be sure any more.

Personally, I am not interested in SC2 itself. I would love to see what maps get whipped up by the community. Crap, they would just make a copy of DotA. I hate WC3 sometime because of that map.

Go see if dogs are talking to you and playing music. If they are, your tripping balls and you need help.

You can also salt the earth. that will solve the entire lawn mowing/maintenance problem.

What?!? We have had Izuna here in NZ for ages. Although it might not have been an official release as some retailers here have increasingly started to do their own thing by bring in American imports.

With the exchange rate as is, everything here is "Over-priced".

I was going to buy the first Izuna, but looks like I should just wait for the sequel. Actually, I should clear the backlog first...

Robocop is still good, the first and second. 3 was the awful one. The TV show was meh. Being TV, it couldn't ramp up the violence to any meaningful level.

BOOM BOOM BOOM "Thank you for not smoking".

Well, I must say, after going through the impressions posted by NWR, this will be the first time in generations if not ever  that I would buy something from EA.

Everything about it screams not from EA. There isn't any urban culture, no licenses or name dropping save Spielbergs involvement. Nothing about it is EXTREME MUUAHAHA.

It is an actual game. Damnnn...

I TOLD YOU TO SHOOT HIM IN THE NUTS. NOW HE WILL START NESTING. The towel was to stop him reconstituting himself.

Now you have to burn down your house. Mostly for insurance purposes.

Lots of hot preggo love in Juno.

But yeah, lazy town is seriously surreal.

What has always been hotter than Linsey Lohan? Natalie Portman. The head alone this worth more than Lohan.

Here is New Zealand the retailers must be making an absolute killing. At the rate things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if the NZD did reach parity with the USD eventually. We are only 20 cents short now. Buying games online is a must since you can get a lot of stuff for less than half retail.

My DS is so well fed right now.

In that case, slayers is pretty low brow humor and not smart. Breasts, **** shape mountians It's somewhat based off DnD without geeking out. Plenty of visual gags and puns, also RP stereotypes. It suffers in the 3rd season from DBZ syndrome where each foe they encounter needs to be stronger and stronger. They also start taking themselves too seriously and seem to have forgotten about character development. The ending to it also sucked a bit. But It does start out pretty awesome.

The first 2 seasons are definitely golden with season 2 as my favorite.

Watching it in a japanese is almost a must as the english dub is done by people like Tia (Lisa Oritz) from yu-gi-ho and brock. They do have Crispin Freeman in there, but he got miss cast.

Looks like I will wait to see whether I can Gundam SEED destiny on the cheap then. I really liked SEED. It was a torrented copy of it that brought me back to anime.

Slayers has plenty of Adventure and LOLs. The second season is the best. The third starts to get a little thin. I am not sure what you mean by smart, but the plot is pretty good and they do break the 4th wall once in a while. Just not something to take too seriously.

General Gaming / Re: What's MS' next move with the XBox 360?
« on: March 24, 2008, 12:09:54 PM »
You mean something like the intercoolers? I have a friend who used one and it didn't save his XBOX.

If memory serves me right, the associated parts aren't touching, but they are close enough to cook each other, along with the other material problems perviously stated. Even if you did punch a lot of holes into it, unless you made sure there was a substantial increase in air flow in that area, it would still cook unless you pushed stupid volumes through.

MS, being their typical selves, for the last two years trying to out tech the problem by shrinking the chips. The smaller chips would make things cheaper and cooler, but it didn't address the fact that the design of the thing was asinine. I am not sure which one is cheaper, repairing all those XBOXs or reengineering motherboard to eliminate the problem.

Gathering from MS's actions, repairing them, at least on paper, was the cheaper option. Quite clearly, they didn't take into account the human cost in pissed off customers and the bad press they generate. RROD could have very cost them this gen, if not heavily contributed to it in the western world.
