I'm in utter shock of that statement, Nick. It's like a rally cry from an inept comedic kart racer.

For real, though...you're right.

The Closest one to me is the Ghetto that is Memphis.  Considering that I live near the STATE CAPITAL and one of the LARGEST POPULATION AREAs with oh about 4 Best Buys easy you think that I have one.  Good job on Dropping the ball again Nintendo and Best Buy.  If its like last time than mostly Best Buy.

Nintendo just stop...  Partner with Walmart of Something...
That's the one I'd have to go to as well, Ceric. No thanks. Don't like Memphis one bit (driving in it is fairly easy), and I don't plan on visiting it soon either.

Bwuahahaha, Curtis, these are brilliant. Seriously. Keep up the incredible work, and keep pushing and polishing the videos until you're satisfied with the output. Seriously funny and fun stuff, mate. Kudos. Cannot wait to see more. 7.5/10

Oooh, lists!

1. MK DS
2. MK 64
3. MK: SC
4. SMK
5. MK Wii
6. MK 7
7. MK: DD

Based on the demo I played this past weekend - played all 8 courses, and a couple of them twice (the Airport and Mario Circuit tracks) - I'm gonna say MK8 is probably going to land between the current number two and three spots. It's good. 7.5 good. ^_^

How old is your son, Ceric? A father and his son sat behind my group of friends and I when I saw it this past weekend, and one small utterance from his little kid (maybe 5 years of age) was, "Daddy, this movie is scary..."

I could see some of the scenes being terrorising for a small child. Godzilla's facial structuring has a small bit of a demonic flare to it. So, really, I don't know. Your call.

let me put it this way, between my undying hatred of mk7 and the questionable decisions made with 8 I am basically picking it up so I can get into that CN deal.
I'll see you on the track then, Poképal. I've got a banana peel with your name on it. >:D

blah blah something something...This review is telling people that not only is MK8 not that good of a game, but that it's not worth buying a console over too. ...blah blah something something blah blah

Seriously, you need to stop looking at game review scores as if they're being graded on an academic scale. A 7.5 is above average. 5? That's average. See? One to 10. Not, One to seven is crap, seven to 8.5 is ok, and 8.5 and above is exceptional. None of that nonsense. Get over yourself.

Game is good. Game will be bought. By myself and LOTS of others. It will even sell consoles. Ta da! Happy, fun times. Enjoy your game.

But what if they reconfigure Falco to play more like Wolf? Huh? Huh? Eh? Huh? :P:

Falco's in, and he's getting a moveset change and stats readjusted to feel different.

Wolf? He's out.

So, I just chatted online with an AT&T representative, and he said that based on my current talk/data plan, that I'd have to go into an AT&T store, and have a rep provision my current plan to be LTE compatible - since it currently can only access HSPA and lower (it's from my iPhone 4 days, after all.) He said I'd get a new SIM card in doing so.

Just got my red Nexus 5 in yesterday, and wow, it's incredible how much better it is over the N4. One thing, though...I'm still picking up the HSPA network from AT&T that I was only able to get on the N4. Is this because of my SIM card? It's the same card I've had since my iPhone 4, and I know the N5 can do LTE (my area has LTE coverage.)

I feel that the score is very fitting - brilliant, actually. Kudos to Neal and Daan for calling out the game for what it does with this iteration. Am I excited to purchase and play it, though? GOOD HEAVENS, YES.

As I've mentioned to both Lindy and Neal on the Twitters and what-have-yous, I feel that in order for Mario Kart to truly evolve, it needs to take on some sort of merit-based/exp gains type of system embedded into its GP single-player mode. I want to feel as if I'm truly progressing - getting better with EXP that I can apply to certain racing stats in my driver and/or kart. Keep in the customisation options for creating a unique kart (that stuff is great!), and then expand on it. We have a Wii U GamePad in our hands, correct? Let us draw and create logos/art/etc. on our karts for true customisation (anyone who dares draw a penis and/or similar whatnots get banned from online play.)

As for the tracks themselves... Seriously, and hear me out on this, please. MAKE THEM BIGGER. And do away with the four tracks in one cup method. By that, I mean go the route of Gran Tourismo or other similar GP racing games (I'll explain!) Mario Circuit, right? Ok. So, Mario Circuit has a specific leg of the track you'll race in in the beginning stages of the game - call it Amateur difficulty to start. So track circuit will be titled Mario Circuit 1 (throwback to the SMK days.) On MC1, you'll notice as you race this particular leg of the track, that certain track paths are blocked off by rails - these paths leads to harder turns, more difficult terrain, etc. that you'll later come back to in say Mario Circuit 2 or 3...or even 4. On the track map, you'll only see the path you're able to drive on, though, based on the circuit number you're racing.

I feel that this method, in creating larger, more expansive tracks, would open up the series to having WAY more options to race on - without having to resort to half of the game being retro tracks all of the time. And instead of cups, you have difficulty levels that have a much larger list of tracks to race on - garnering points and statistics as you race your way up the leader board. At the end of a specific difficulty level, you'll win that difficulty level's cup (sure, have it mushroom shaped for the first one.) :P:

As for battle mode? Why can't we have both? I much prefer the VS. racing mode over balloon battle (Mario Kart is about racing, after all), but I'd love to have an extensive balloon battle mode with lots of arenas themed from each of the specific courses. And, of course, Block Fort. :P: Gotta have Block Fort. And for the love of all that is holy and pure, BRING BACK THE 360 SPIN MOVE from the N64 game! Gah. That element was brilliant in multiplayer battles.

But anyhow. Long post is long. That's my two pennies worth. Good job, Neal and Daan.

So, I've been seeing this Apple advert lately that has a group of teens putting together a cover version of the Pixies Gigantic. Mind you, I've known of this band for a long time (they hit their stride in the late 80s/early 90s before breaking up), but I have become such a huge fan, not only of this song, but the group in general. Surfer Rosa, the album this song comes from, is brilliant.

Playing Child of Light on Wii U alongside my still ongoing FFXIV journey to farm tomes for Atma books.

Child of Light...initial impressions after just a few hours of play? Battle mechanics are great. I love using Mr. Firefly to slow down one mob to advance my party members' "turn" to allow an attack that then counters the mob being slowed - knocks them back, causing them to have to restart their attack. It feels great when done correctly. Game oozes charm, and I actually like and appreciate the rhyming in all of the conversations. Different is good. Look on the outside of things to appreciate them.

Might pick up Kirby: Spicy Chicken Sandwich next week!

I, for one, am looking forward to bashing the skulls of hordes of Moblins in mindless Dynasty Warriors gameplay.

Cater, I understand you! :D RIDLEY IS IN.

Was bummed previously to know that Skull Kid (w/ Majora's Mask final smash) wasn't being included as a playable fighter, and now Sakurai pulls the rug out from under my feet once again using Saki Amamiya as an Assist. Bleh. Saki would have made for a really cool jet-pack wielding, sword and gun combo-based fighter. Whatevs, Sakurai,  you crazy troll, you. :P

Is there hope for Ray 01, Jill (Drill Dozer), Ridley, Mike Jones, Raymond, Prince Sable, and Takamaru?

I'm incredibly happy this mode exists - as it suits the style my mates and I play when we have Smash tourney get-togethers. But as some have mentioned, limiting it to just flat stages only kind of bothers me. I'd like the option to use stages with a few platforms, too. Maybe that's in there. We'll see.

And Cater, the beauty of Project M 3.0 for Brawl is that Rumble Falls is made into a more stabilised stage - no more scrolling. It's a three-tiered platform, single-screen arena. Really fun. I'm actually curious to see if the Project M team make changes now based on all of this new info coming out for Smash 4.

Aside from die-hard Mario fans, no one over the age of 10 would want to play a paintball FPS.  They might think such an idea would be "all ages" but it would come across as being solely for children.
Please speak for yourself, Ian. I'm 32 years of age, and I would KILL for a Mario Paintball FPS. If properly developed with smooth controls, incredible gameplay, Halo-like features/options/settings, and oozing with Nintendo's charm...a Mario Paintball game would be absolutely brilliant.

Games don't have to be violent to be awesome - I would assume you would already be understanding of that...being a Nintendo fan and all (you DO browse this forum/site after all.) If Nintendo can create hype in the fight game genre with a series like Smash Bros., then they most definitely can do it with a Mario Paintball game in the FPS genre.
