Holy everything. Poor guy. But also.. not poor guy. You don't move that fast to proposing ... you just don't. I've only known one person in my entire life who has been successful with that situation - he proposed to her after just ONE month, and they've been married for over 15 years now.

But normally, no. No no no.

I look at things this way...

All of those late PSOne gamers and Xbox and PS2 gamers that were in their adolescent/pre-teen years are now old enough to have graduated college - which means they're finding jobs working for game publishing companies, or even becoming game developers themselves. What's frustrating is that their general dislike for Nintendo is, I feel, a big reason why you're not seeing support from western third-parties. If you don't like Nintendo, why would you even develop for their console to begin with?

Now, I realise this isn't true for ALL developers/publishers, but I'm certain a good portion of them come from this pool of gamers now.

And then, yes, you have Nintendo fans out there who are now developers that want to develop games for Nintendo, but publishers get in the way. It's a battle that just can't be won until Nintendo make strides to improve their image among all gamers.

It's the industry and world that we currently live in.

I slightly am. But I'd have to do some research as far as what games to get. I'm quite picky when it comes to handheld games.

Though, FIFA '14 (despite it being an upgrade/reskin of last year's version) is a given for me.

I'll probably get this, too. Though, like StrikerObi said, I'd rather it be on Wii U eShop.

I really think it's time for Nintendo to dig into that war chest of theirs, and start buying and/or building development teams to create games that appeal to each individual type of game(r). EA doesn't want to put their sports games on Wii U? Fine. Nintendo need to create several studios and bring back the Nintendo Sports branding of games. Time to get serious, but also give it that Nintendo flair of quality that would outshine any sports game EA could make.

Same goes for the third-person/first-person shooter crowd. Build a studio or two that specialises in that type of game environment, and get to work on designing games for that type of audience. This isn't rocket science. And Nintendo have the money to do it. It can be done - it's just going to require Nintendo Co., Ltd. swallowing a bit of pride in the process. Oh, and marketing. MARKET MARKET MARKET until your image with gamers changes positively. Shove it down their collective throats that Nintendo is about making games, not just games that everyone can play, but games FOR EVERYONE - individual games that appeal to each and every individual sect of gamer. If Nintendo truly want to become a company for all gamers, then it's time to get serious and DO IT.

Nintendo can earn their mind share back. It's just going to require a bit of hard work.

I thought arsenal was supposed to be a pretty solid team.

@Racht

No go since I don't have cable. (though I might try to use my uncles.)
Considering that Wegner didn't scout entirely too well in the off-season...nah, they're kind of in a rut. The team are in negative standing with their fans - "Farcenal," I'm reading a bit online. For instance, I have spent more money for my toilet paper than Wegner has spent in the entire off-season. It's a shame, really, because ever since van Persie signed with Man United, it's almost like the team have been jilted.

Tottenham, Liverpool, Man United, Man City, and Chelsea are all contenders for the trophy this season. But then, anything could happen. It's going to be an exciting season.

Shingi, in North America, if your cable/satellite company carries NBC Sports Network, you can download the NBCSN Live Extra app - which enables you to watch ANY televised Premier League match on your mobile. It's quite handy.

So, who were the big team coming out of Championship League 1 last season? Cardiff? Crystal Palace? Because it definitely wasn't Hull City - who happened to play Chelsea in Matchweek 1 of the Premier League. My god, what a shamble of ball possession on their part. Sheesh.

I'm expecting big things out of Chelsea this season. Though, my team, Manchester United, played really well against Swansea - all with only 30 minutes of play from Wayne Rooney. And Rooney, after all of his tiring post and pre-season bids to leave United, did exactly what I thought he'd do out on the pitch...

Aside from his fantastic pass at the end of the game assisting Danny Welbeck for an extra time goal, he played a bit half-heartedly. Why would you not WANT to be a part of a winning team? Gah.

Premier League is off to a great start after one week. Here's to any NWR forum-goer's team getting on well this season. Cheers!

Movies & TV / Re: Rate the last TV show you've seen

Yeah, oohhboy speaks the truth. BBC's Sherlock is incredible. I cannot wait until series 3 begins. Cumberbatch and Freeman are an amazing pair - their on-screen chemistry is so good that it's scary.

As far as Doctors go...Ceric, you're crazy! Eccleston is fantastic. I've gone through all of the classic Who episodes listed on Netflix, and if I had to rank them in order of favourites, it would probably go like this:

Tennant, T. Baker, Eccelston, Pertwee, Troughton, Smith, Davison, McCoy, and Hartnell.

I can't really include Colin Baker, as I haven't seen any of his serials yet. Soon, though. But, sheesh, his Who attire is crazy weird. It makes McCoy's question mark walking cane seem modest. Also, Smith and Davison are kind of interchangeable for me. There are episodes where I like Smith, and then there are those that I absolutely despise him. I blame this mainly on Moffat and his daft writing and storytelling. I can't wait until the show gets some fresh blood in it.

Peter Capaldi should make things really interesting.

I was very excited about getting this game, but at 50 AMERIBUCKS, it's a no-go. As others have said, it doesn't look like much is being added in terms of content - and the HD upgrade really isn't that visually improved. $29 is the sweet spot on this title.

Now if they added in Motion+ sword control...

Looks like a new Nexus 10 is on the way. I'm guessing its going to be announced in October alongside a nexus 4 refresh and probably the smartwatch/Game console.

I was hoping for a new chromebook a affordable version of the pixel.
Good heavens, why am I excited about a Google game console? >_<

This update did something.

I like blazers, but I look funky in them. Which is why I don't wear them. My younger brother wears his all of the time, though.

Typically, you'll find me wearing jeans with a button-up shirt (typically plaid or vertical stripes)...and the sleeves rolled up.  And depending on the season, I'll wear either a brown boot or flip-flops. It's what I'm most comfortable in.
Is your chosen Profession forcing you to say these types of things?  Remember only Tourists where Cowboy hats.
My chosen profession (Digital Media/Design) has dress codes dependent upon the employer. My first employer required dress clothes - with the exception being on Fridays, as flip-flops and jeans were allowed (we also had shorter hours on Fridays...8:00 to 12:00.) My second place of employment was very casual. Jeans/t-shirt were the norm for everyone, but flip-flops weren't allowed.

My current job, a retail one, requires me to wear either dress clothes or jeans/solid colour polo or button-up shirt (which I typically wear anyway.)

So, nah. I don't really feel like it influences what I wear.
So no longer trying to be a Country Writer?
Hah. No, I haven't given up as a singer/songwriter, but I've had enough of Nashville-Contemporary-Songwriting-101. I don't have enough beer cans in my pickup truck to mess that awful noise. (*Note to editor: Racht doesn't throw beer cans in the back of a pickup truck, nor does he even drive a pickup truck)

Nickel Creek, Punch Brothers, Sara/Sean Watkins. That's my style.

I was disappointed with the original GBA. Of course, Nintendo released the sidelit, and later on the backlit SP, and so I was then satisfied. But man, all of those times sitting underneath a hot lamp trying to play Castlevania: Circle of the Moon... ugh. So infuriating.

As far as software releases go, I was fairly burnt by DDR: Mario Mix and Star Fox: Assault. The former because I expected true DDR with a Mario/Mushroom Kingdom skin. The latter was a good game in parts, but I felt Namco tried a bit too hard for the majority. I wanted (and am still waiting) for a true sequel/prequel to Star Fox 64.

Though, I could go for a real sequel to Star Fox Adventures. I loved that game to no end. Ground-based, Zelda-inspired battle mechanics with Fox McCloud wielding a bo staff was pure SEX.
