Nintendo Gaming / RE: Looking for a game suggestion
« on: August 18, 2003, 06:54:49 AM »
I too would strongly recommend Eternal Darkness:Sanity's Requiem, most retailers that still have it in stock sell it for the unbelievable price of $14.99 - a steal!!! (GameStop, EB and BestBuy, mostly. Circuit City still sells it for $49.99!)

It's an adventure game with a survivial horror element that takes you deeper than any other game in the genre. It has one of the most thought out story lines I ever encountered in a game. The graphics are great, although the character designs are a bit pointed. Silicon Knights did an outstanding job with this game. The incredible amount of detail they put into the envoirnments and backgrounds is just amazing. The is one of the most beautiful games you could ever play, honestly!

It was the only 3DO game that I was looking forward to - I sincerely hope this game gets released on the 'Cube sometime soon.

I personally would trade-in the X-Box because there isn't one exclsuive game on that system that I'm interested in playing.

As far as selling points for the Cube...

1. It's the least expensive of the 3 systems, currently retailing at $149.99
2. You currently have the option of getting a free GameBoy Player (allowing you to play just about every single GameBoy, GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance game ever made), or a Free game for your GameCube
3. Free GameCube Preview Disc, featuring videos and playable demos of upcoming GameCube titles.
4. If you are into connectivity, you have the option to link a GameBoy Advance to your GameCube for use in compatible games to unlock special features.
5. Owning a GameCube allows you the opportunity to play some of the greatest games ever such as: Eternal Darkness, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker, and so much more.

Yet the question remains unanswered...Will these be ports from the original arcade versions or the NES versions?

I would love to see Nintendo offer a Donkey Kong Bonus Disc Offer, featuring ports of the 3 Donkey Kong arcade games (mainly to have the arcade version of Donkey Kong, Jr.). I doubt it will happen though.

Is there any sort of age restriction for Camp Hyrule? I'm 27, would that make me too old to participate? It sounds like a fun opportunity and I would definitely consider giving it a try next year, if I am not too old.

I believe they are supposed to last for similar amounts of time, although the WaveBird uses 4 batteries as opposed to the G3 Wireless' 2 AAs.

Good idea, DJR

Earlier today I posted a message about a P.N.03 Bonus Disc. Link

Story available on NinGC.com - Click Here for details.

After looking at those pictures, it appears that the demo disc is from Europe. Does anyone know if it will be available with US pre-orders as well?

Excellent point. I wouldn't read too much into the Nintendo press conference. 9 times out of ten, these things usually turn out to be a huge disappointment for those who anxiously await the Megaton announcement, that never existed to begin with.

But then again...Nintendo also knows that the general feeling is that they failed to meet many expections at this year's E3 a few months back. They could use this Press Conference as an opportunity to deliver some long awaited and overdue surprises.

I'm interested in reading a detail of Thursday's events after the press conference, but I will not hold my breath for any major or groundbreaking announcements.

Yes. Thanks for clearing that up for me

IGN just posted an article about the shockingly poor GameCube sales of 80,000 units world-wide for the 2nd Quarter of 2003 (April, May June).

At the end of that article is this quote by gaming analyst Takeshi Tajima:

"We want to hear something new and specific from Nintendo on Thursday to tackle rivalry with Sony," Tajima said.

Yes, MadCatz exists outside of Australia. They are one of the leading 3rd party accessory companies here in the US.

Buy the Peilcan G3 Wireless. It performs just about as well as the WaveBird, it has rumble and it only uses 2 AA batteries, which last a good 6 months or so - plus it's about $5 cheaper than the WaveBird

So does that mean that all of the Mario Golf's sold at other stores, contain this bonus Target Tournament - if you were to obtain the special code?

According to Target's weekly ad (on their website) Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour "Includes TargetĀ® Bullseye tour tournament".

Apparently, there is a whole new course in the version that Target will be selling, exclusively. That really sucks for the rest of us who bought it elsewhere.

*shakes fist* "Damn you Nintendo"

Nintendo Gaming / Resident Evil: Code Veronica X - Delayed?
« on: July 31, 2003, 06:54:17 AM »
Most sites have the release date for Resident Evil: Code Veronica X listed as September 9, 2003.

I was just browsing Capcom's website and they have it available for pre-order. According to info on their website, it will not be available until "October 2003".

True. LOL

I was only trying to validate what GoodRiddance2222 posted regarding the PS2 being able to save "right to the system"

Not that I care, I would never own a PlayStation, unless of course Nintendo bought out Sony and made the PlayStation a Nintendo branded console. But...That would never happen.
