Nintendo Gaming / It's offical, the AIAS awards are completely full of crap

Yeah, Splinter Cell's coming to Gamecube.  But I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft was bribing anybody.  Splinter Cell looks rather cliche and dull compared to Prime.

Yes, very true.  Now the only obstacle is trying to get stupid American gamers to realize this.

General Gaming / Anyone else disappointed in their Xbox?
« on: February 27, 2003, 03:31:02 PM »
I don't have an Xbox, but as for my GC, it fell three or four feet onto hard tile fairly quickly (landing on the controller ports and front half of the cube) and it still works fine.  Durable system.

Heck, they could have one in the Wind Waker for all we know.  There is a rather menacing looking bird enemy.

I haven't seen it yet, so I wouldn't know, but I intend to watch it.

I agree with Skyman.  There are things you can't compare.  That's what I hate about most video game folk. . . they try to compare games like Zelda to Grand Theft Auto.  It just doesn't work that way.

All of Capcom's game look great, but I think I'm only going to get Killer 7.

I hear it's about some old, crippled hitman that has multiple, physical personalities (7, actually, thus the name) is going to stop some big crime lord that converts people into his gang thing by touching them (his hand is special and controls them).  Plus the graphics look cool, but I still prefer the Zelda ones.  I'm not biased against happy and depressing, so I think that the Zelda ones are obviously higher in quality.

Nintendo Gaming / new gamcube controller.
« on: February 26, 2003, 03:41:29 PM »
Every Gamecube game I've played so far had a magnificent control scheme.  Halo was good but awkward, and I'd never get used to the Playstation shape buttons, but it's also a good controller.  Gamecube controller is my favorite, though.

That's true. . . if the tracks are randomly generated, I'm compelled to buy it.  Be interesting, and it would always be fair to new people.

I have a two minute video, and all it showed was boosting, but I believe you.  I suppose I'll have to think about it.

That's what I figure, too.  F-zero looks great, but not very elaborate.  The only sort of variation I see other than track design is boosting.

Yeah, I'm not even sure if I'm going to get it. . . Kirby rocks, but I'm not sure what racing games I'm getting for GC yet (F-Zero, Mario Kart, Kirby's Air Ride?!  ARGH!).

I'm not into sports games, but as for you. . . the Mario sports games are fun. . . I don't figure that's what you're into, but it's better than nothing.

Kirby's airride has promise, but it depends what they do with it.  Kirby has always just been a "have fun" franchise.  The games were moderately easy, ranging from adventure to things like tilt&tumble and Kirby's Dream Course.  The Crystal Shard mini games were very silly, but unnervingly fun.  This could just be another fun game for Kirby.

The Gamecube seems to be getting more acclaim now, though. . . certain illusions (like "kiddie games" and not enough games) are being broken.  That's the way it seems, at least.

I'm almost definitely getting Killer 7.  I'm not sure about PNO3, though.  Looks good, but I doubt I'll get it.

There are many good games that are out, and there seems to be an overwhelming list of "will be" games. . . I don't know where I'll find the money.  You keep your eyes peeled, though.  There are some great games for Gamecube.

I have heard zero about Too Human, but all of you think it will be good.

My list?  Star Fox Armada, Wind Waker, Kirby, maybe Pikmin 2, and probably others, lime Mario 128.  And definitely Metroid Prime 2 (they're coming out with one, if you didn't know).  Twill be awesome.

Nintendo Gaming / GC, worth buyin or not?
« on: February 23, 2003, 01:59:08 PM »
Gamecube is definitely worth buying, and I assure you that any Nintendo game will be well worth the fifty bucks.  Sega is also very good, and Capcom.  If you have any game questions, ask.

Oh believe me, I've tried.  Metroid Prime and my television are on full brightness, and I still can't see anything.  It's just the television is old and dark.  I need a replacement.
