Nintendo Gaming / RE: Dongle not available in stores?
« on: October 18, 2005, 07:30:39 AM »
Eh, if I need it I'll buy it online.  It'd probably be better if they sold it in stores, definitely, but this doesn't bother me personally.

I really had no trouble with her at all.  I had plenty of health vials, if I ever got low, and a few good shots with Dan (tried Con at first, that didn't work out) managed to take her out.  Maybe took me twenty minutes, and I never died.
We should have an entire forum dedicated to the discussion of Killer 7, and its incredibly weird freaking plot.
I love this game.

Another Code is just Engrish.  Trace Memory is fine.

Although I actually prefer Another Code

Good lord Christ.  Talk about blatant, cheap rip-offs.

Lots of SSBM moments (like my friend trying to kill Peach, who was falling anyway, and by hitting her he gave her another jump; she made it up, he died ).
Probably the best is from Kirby 64.  My sister and I were playing the falling fruit minigame one morning, and she was hilariously bad at it.  Whenever a bomb came down everyone would run away from it, and she'd be so excited she could get one she'd run over and it'd blow her up, and she's loose all of her fruit.  Funniest thing ever, I lol'd until I was short of breath and tears were running down my face.  She mentions it and I'll still burst out laughing

I'll definitely pick this up when I have the money for it.  I'm taking my time with Resident Evil 4, but there are so many games on the horizon, I'm not sure how I'm going to manage.

I like the girl looking all sexy with the dogs on the disco floor.  Makes no sense

Pale, I think that is a very cool idea.
Can't wait to see what this is about.

General Chat / RE: Spiderman 3 villains revealed

I loved the first two, they were hilarious.  Humor was the best part, though.
Fighting two villains at once should be incredibly cool.  Millions of dollars on special effects, woohoo.

Oh please please please please please please I hope they localize this.  An instant buy from me, you can bet on that.  Hell, if this doesn't come stateside I might even import it, JUST TO SAY I IMPORTED THE TINGLE GAME.
Really, though, I hope to God it's localized because it has such potential to be delightfully weird.  Like the Zelda version of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Article: "Nintendo smarter than we think?"
« on: October 06, 2005, 10:24:53 AM »
Unprofessional, but I love unprofessional as long as its entertaining, informative, and not absolute crap.
He's occasionally tries to be funny, and actually succeeds.  He's rather clever, as opposed to a lot of stuff that's just annoying.  The intro is good to.
I agree with many of the points he's making, as well as simply hoping for them.  I haven't read it all the way through yet, as I have a meeting to get to, but from what I read it's pretty cool.  His points are well made.
More later, p'raps.

"I've already voiced my concern over lever pulling so there's no point in arguing about it."

You voiced your concern that they'd focus on pulling levers rather than gameplay, which is as ludicrous as saying you're afraid they'd focus more on analog control (in OoT) and leave out gameplay.  As if they'd spend all their time focusing on how to move Link instead of the game.  It's a stupid thing to say.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Looking back on controller predictions
« on: October 05, 2005, 09:16:12 PM »
Yeah, who cares now.

Though I do like the fact that Joobot's rendition looks exactly like a crappy Mad Catz Gamecube controller.

Haha, moneyhats.
It'll still suck, rest assured.  Producing doesn't really mean much, it just means he makes sure everything runs smoothly and Microsoft deals out buttloads of money.

What?  The third Arrested Development episode this season is by far my favorite of the three.  Absolutely hysterical.

Is this the counterpoint article to the one that said Rev would totally suck?

More like Arrested Development is probably a close first.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Would work on the DS
« on: October 05, 2005, 01:24:34 PM »
How are the graphics too demanding?  I mean Trace Memory looks twice that good and it has decent looking characters.  I'm not too familiar with technical flim-flam, though, so I could understand if the development worked differently.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: New DS games announced in latest Famitsu
« on: October 05, 2005, 01:22:56 PM »
"Anyway it's still rather ironic that the DS is designed to simplify gaming and here is an example of the DS features potentially making a game more complex. It's still the opposite of what Nintendo planned for the thing even if it's all Square Enix's idea."

The DS exists to provide options.  Simplicity is an option, complexity is an option.  You can go either way, or even both in some cases.  Nintendo is simply pushing simplicity because simpler games are more likely to attract non-gamers and expand their audience.  They're still making complex games, even games more complex than before, but they're not pushing them because the people that are buying them already know about them.

TINGLE RPG?  HOLY EFFIN CRAP.
That is a must-buy.  Best spin-off game ever?  I THINK SO.

Not interested in anything else Except maybe Custom Robo.  I don't know what all the other names mean.

Just as a side note, why is Capcom totally milking the hell out of this franchise even though it hasn't done particularly well, in terms of sales?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Nintendo and it's philosophies
« on: October 04, 2005, 04:57:35 PM »
Don'tHate, we're giving you credit.  Chill out.  When we tell you to cool it, we're not saying "You did not think of anything, don'thate", we're saying "You're being arrogant and annoying now, don'thate".  See?

And yes, the remote provides functionality that did not previously exist on controllers, and that a shell cannot duplicate.
Using the controller as the pointer device is ridiculous.  You could do it, but it's much, much more awkward than the remote.  Really, I can tell just by looking at it.
