There aren't any black bars - the system upscales the game to 720p/1080i/p no matter what, but it's not a "real" HD game. COD4 runs in an odd resolution as well, but no one is suing over that one, because it's a freakin' visual masterpiece.

Most motherboard manufacturers offer replacement BIOS chips - since you say it's overclocked I'm assuming you built it yourself. If it's an HP or Dell or "production" system like that, then the BIOS chip is soldered in, and I'm sure they won't replace it. It's worth a shot, if it's the motherboard itself, then you're probably only out a couple bucks for shipping anyway. I know ABIT doesn't even charge for the chips, just the shipping.

I don't think Activision can be sued because of this - since they're offering free replacements. There is a groupd of people, however, that are building a class action lawsuit against Microsoft/Bungie because Halo 3 isn't a truly high-definition game (640p they call it).

That's a pretty accurate score. I agree with the gameplay score - it's a blast to actually play, the there aren't nearly enough moves and modes in the game. If it had everything that it's Xbox 360 counterpart has, it would easily be a 9.0, if you ask me.

Eh, I just copied and pasted from NeoGAF. Guess I should proofread next time. I'm glad to see PS3 dropping (I'll admit it), but wish it went down further. At least Wii got a pretty big bump. Nintendo just about reversed the 30K beating by PS3 last month, in 1 week alone. I don't know what I'm trying to say anymore...it's late.

Awesome! I made my brother buy me a Wii Zapper and give it to me today...so I finally got to play Ghost Squad. It kicks a lot of ass. I play without the aiming reticule - the calibration settings are that good. It's like playing a real light gun game. Midway needs to release T2 Arcade on the Virtual Console, with full Wii Zapper support.

I don't think you should score it completely on arcade accuracy, not in the least. I'm just saying a game like this, is something that can't physically be made any better than the source material, aside from adding online play, or something of that nature.

I would have probably given it an 8 or higher, and upped the graphics to a 9. The animation might not be as fluid as some other games (the MK arcade games run at 53FPS, which is a very odd framerate), but the game looks nearly, if not entirely, identical to the arcade version. The sounds is spot on too, I'd have to up that as well. I think you have to take the source material into account for games like this.

Does the Wii version have the "Message of the Day", surely they can make it tell Wii owners to download a patch from the Wii Shop or something. I don't think this is a new feature, it's probably something that can easily be unlocked in the game upon going online, since they have actually been trying to get DLC for a while.

The problem is, no one needs to use eBay to get a PS3, so you probably won't even get any bids. I just don't see why they're even putting these on the floor - there's 3 huge pallets with 60 consoles each, and then they have a few more scattered around various shelves - where they are literally just trying to find a place to stick them. They must need the space in the stockroom for something else.

My guess is that they actually have suspended production, as of several months ago. Stores have been sending back their unsold systems, which Sony places in a new box with Motorstorm or Spider-Man 3 or whatever they put in there, and ship it back to another store. It's not like one day every store completely sold all their old PS3 overstock and it was magically replaced by the pack-in systems.

The PS3 is back to being absolutely CRUSHED in the US. I was at Best Buy about 5 minutes after they opened today - and a woman was buying the last of 51 Wiis that they had today. I then counted all the 360s - they had 5 IIRC, all Halo 3 edition. Then I counted the PS3s - 98! 98 f'ing PS3s just sitting there collecting dust. They're also completely sold out of Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii and the 360, but they have tons of the PS3 and PS2 version - even the PC version had less than the PS3.

Also, I absolutely LOATHE Rachel Ray. Triscuits suck, but Wheat Thins kick ass. I refused to buy any while her stupid mug was on the box though.

Edit - also, the song is from Saliva, and they should never EVER be confused for Rage Against the Machine - Papa Roach or Limp Bizkit would be a more accurate comparison for the crapfest that is Saliva. Tom Morello should stab you in the face with a soldering iron for saying so.

Now that I own my own house, I actually enjoy mowing the lawn. It's only a chore when you're  a kid and your parents make you do it, when you mow it as you feel like it, it's enjoyable.
