Nintendo should have had Sega publish the Olympic games, then there would finally be a 3rd party Wi game at the top. I'm amazed to see Game Party at #5, that's at least good news for 3rd parties, but it's bad news for gamers because it's crap and now even more publishers will be making...crap.

$350 for a 500B HDD is way too much. You can get 500GB online for around $150 or less. I'm all for DLC, it's better than waiting for sequels and whatnot, and also you get to (typically) pick and choose what you want. I would have been finished with RockBand and GH3 a long time ago if DLC wasn't an option.

I seems (at least on IGN's article) that this is for DLC and the likes. They say the Wi-Fi Service connection will remain free, but some games will have this Pay to Play stuff. I think it's a way to get revenues directly to 3rd parties, instead of using Wii Points.

I can see WiiWare adhering to a niche group of gamers, but I've got a feeling that niche group is the majority of the people who own a Wii and use the Shopping Channel.

MP3 playback is fantastic. Excite Truck is an 8 without it, and a 9 with it. Same for Tony Hawk games and what not. Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Halo - it wouldn't make sense, but racing and sports games are a perfect fit for custom soundtracks.

Well M$ has said for a while that the internet will be the medium for it's next console, AKA no more discs. On one had it's a great idea, because you can purchase a game at 4:17 AM, wearing just a pair of socks and a cowboy hat (don't judge me), but on the other hand, Best Buy is literally a 1/4 mile down the road from me, so buying a disc would be a little faster than downloading a game...unless they're all like Steam-based games, where you can start playing when you're at like 5 or 10% or something.

I think WiiWare (once Nintendo official supports USB hard drives, or has REAL SD support) is going to be absolutely huge. It's on it's way to being an XBLA killer.

My mystery is only exceeded by my power. When I say original copy, I mean the version that has the bug where you can get stuck in the Canon room...though what I'm hinting at may work on the fixed version too. I'm waiting for something more worthwhile than Tetris or Pong before I go testing this out...

Even if Blu Ray never gets as big as DVD, now that HD DVD is dead, you'll be able to get every movie on Blu Ray for many years to come. I hate to say it, but now that there's no HD DVD, unless M$ makes a BluRay add-on for the 360, I might get a PS3, just for the movies.

I actually enjoy Red Steel quite a bit. It didn't live up to the hype, but it's a pretty good game nonetheless. Of course if you compare the controls to Metroid Prime 3 or MOH Heroes 2, then it takes a big hit, but as a launch game, it's not that bad. I'm really looking forward to the sequel...

I think it's actually a pretty cool idea. Do you understand the concept? From what I gather, you have 2 different competing genres of music competing at once, each playing the same song, and whoever's winning gets played at that current time. I don't think they're competing with Guitar Hero or RockBand, it's completely different than those 2 games.

Edit - I guess you could compare it to the Boss Battles in GH3, but you use the Wiimote for gesture based attacks instead of a Guitar controller.

I was upset to see the Patriots lose, but then I saw Peyton happy because Eli's team won, so I was happy too. Eli can suck it though. I liked him when everyone said he sucked (up until about 3 months ago), and now that everyone says he's good, I hate him.

The DS plays GBA games, but they don't keep shipping old GBA games...let's also not forget that the Gamecube is dead. No one's selling Xbox games, and the 360 plays (some of ) them. I've seen the Wavebird (new) at stores many times recently around my area (Brevard County, FL).

I got the game, and though I've only played the tutorial and part of the first level, I can confirm that it kicks ass. Watching Travis someone in half and then call them a "f***head" just about made my day.
