That's how most multi-console reviews are.

8600 is actually a pretty terrible video card (sorry), which is why I haven't bought one for my HTPC. I played COD4 demo on it (X2 4200+/GeForce 7600GS - it's a small (Dell) BTX HTPC, not for gaming to say the least), and with somewhat low-medium settings, it actually ran pretty well.

There actually have been 2 supply issues - first is that no one in China works for 2 weeks during Chinese New Year, which actually hurt production, and second is that they are getting ready to release a new 60GB model (replacing the current "Premium/Pro" system), and are no longer making the 20GB HDDs. You'll see in the next couple weeks or so...

Confirmed: House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return kicks ass. I got it the other day, it's very nice to be able to play these games as they were meant (basically anyway) to be played again.

It's just nice to know that you have both added each other, so you can play each other in the future.

I added 41 people 2 days ago, several of which I know have added my code as well...but all of the names still say "awaiting confirmation" or whatever. This is lame. Friend codes = failure.

Technically it does that for all Wii games. Any game that doesn't support widescreen is still stretched out if your console is set to 16:9. Super Punchout on Fight Night Round 2 did this on the Gamecube as well. It would be nice if they made a system update that let you run 4:3 content in 4:3 on 16:9 TVs though, but I'd probably have it stretched anyway.

NPD for February...

Nintendo DS - 587.6K (from 251K)
Wii - 432K (from 274K)
PlayStation 2 - 351.8K
PlayStation 3 - 280.8K (from 269K)
Xbox 360 - 254.6K (from 230K)
PSP - 243.1K (from 230K)

Taken from http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=17865

PS3 was once again completely pw3d by the PS2, and is still the Wii's bitch. Wii is officially (as of these numbers) at 8.1 million in the US, with 9.6 million for the 360, and PS3 at a mere 3.8 million.

Just added my code to my sig, but here it is as well: 1504-5438-4901
I'm in Central Florida, on 8-10Mb cable, so you shouldn't be getting any lag from me.
Should be under "BDOGG" if you add me, or you can call me douchebag or whatever you want...I haven't had a chance to add anyone yet, so I don't know quite how it works.

Edit - my bad, forgot region info.
Edit again - dammit, forgot to put my name on there.

TalkBack / Re: Brawl Causing Problems With Wii Consoles
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:04:19 AM »
Nope, just SSBB and another Japanese game that just came out - Miberi and Tiberi or something like that. If you're having problems, it's not because of a "dirty" laser, it's because of a "bad" laser, since this error happens with brand new Wiis too, though it's a very small number altogether. Sometimes my Wii won't read my SSBB, though usually it does. It's always been behind a glass entertainment center door, which is 100% dust and dirt free.

« on: March 12, 2008, 10:06:21 PM »
Same here. Also, if you are having issues, it's not because your lazy is dirty, since even brand new Wii systems are showing the same problems. Nintendo isn't cleaning the lasers - they're replacing them, or the entire DVD-ROM unit, or possibly just resetting the potentiometer.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: choppy fmv?

Bump...ish. I think the sturrering has to do with some background loading that happens as that FMV is playing. It happens every time I watch the video, when choosing a new game - it stutters when Peach and Zelda are first shown, and when Kirby first appears as well - but if you choose "replay" after it plays, it only stutters when Peach and Zelda are shown, and you can definitely hear the laser moving around, so it isn't just streaming a video, or so it seems. It could be a dirty laser issue I guess - sometimes my Wii doesn't notice that the game is in the system, but ejecting and reinstering almost always works. It's annoying, but it's not worth sending out my system, at least to me it isn't, especially since House of the Dead comes out today too.

It could be the dirty laser problem that many people have, only it's not as bad as it could be. You might need to send your system off to Nintendo for a cleaning, if it gets worse.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Moveset Swapping
« on: March 06, 2008, 03:14:29 PM »
It's probably something that could be achieved with an Action Replay, eventually. The Wii game hacking scene has just taken off in the past few days, for people with modchips. The Twilight Princess hack (for homebrew) might eventually lead to being able to do this stuff without modding your system as well, but you'll still need to rip your games, mod them, and burn them.

I'm guessing UncleBob's Wal-Mart has the game, and he had the singer from Bloodhound Gang pose with it. Jimmy Pop Ali, right?

My avatar is a picture of my daughter (when she was about 18 months old) playing a miniature drum set that I bought her. She's actually good a pretty good understanding of how it works, and can bang the sticks and hit the kick pedal at the same time.

Maybe they'll redo RE0 in "RE4 style", since they already have basically all of the levels in 3D now. Otherwise, I can't possibly see how the controls would work, unless they've used the original setup, which would make it pointless altogether. Maybe they'll add WiFi...heh.

Nintendo and Capcom are buddies, with Nintendo even lending the Zelda franchise to Capcom for some of the handheld games...so give us RE5 plz thx. Seriously, Nintendo should buy Capcom, and Grasshopper...and Ubisoft.

Ture dat (sorry for saying that). On my HDTV you can see the lines going through fog, smoke, etc in games like Zelda Twighlight Princess. It's annoying, but somewhat ignorable, though it's blatantly obvious in Excite Truck, which is otherwise a beautiful game.
