Nintendo Gaming / RE:Zelda Bonus Disc....?
« on: November 17, 2003, 01:11:35 PM »
^ That's what I'm doing. I was planning on getting superstar saga eventually, but not this early....

It really is my only option though.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Is Skies of Arcadia Legends any good?
« on: October 10, 2003, 03:12:02 PM »
I agree with Grey Ninja. I rented it last spring and I thought it was very good.

I couldn't find any copies anywhere near where I live so I ended up buying it off Amazon.......... hmmm..... anyways, I just received it yesterday!!! I was so excited to add this great game to my library.

I thought the music was cool, I especially like how the singer sings "billy hatcher and the giant egg"..... I just like the melody.

Oh boy, more 2d Mario rumors.  I personally don't care if the game is 2d-like, I just want the game to be more like Super Mario World.

I must say, I like the sound of that, well, except for the Wario World part. Anyways, I think it would be cool if they equally mixed side scrolling and 3d platforming.

He proffessed  "interest" in Kid Icarus. What about too human? Will that EVER see the light of day? (Remember he said a similiar thing when saying he was 'interested' in making a Metal Gear game.)

Wow, that's great news. Miyamoto has also jokingly hinted at Retro doing a new Kid Icarus game, so there must still be some interest at Nintendo. Either that or they know that there are fans of KI out there. I'm sure Silicon Knights could pull it off...... but I still think Capcom would almost do it flawlessly. IMO, Capcom just seems capable.

Nice.

Just the other day I was playing the trailer, and my younger brother and his best friend came in (they both have PS2's and they are only into GTA and The Getaway and Games like that) and his best friend, who didn't have any knowledge of the game said the incredibly ignorant response he did which was:

"wow, that looks really good, too bad Gamecube doesn't get good games like this"

I just laughed and left the room.

Awesome news!

I'm so looking forward to this game after seeing the trailer. It looks a lot better in motion.

EDIT: Would you really want this to be a new Kid Icarus game? I like it just the way it is, and although I'm wishing for a new Kid Icarus game, I really don't think the engine or graphics (well maybe the graphics) would fit the KI franchise. Trust me, I have both KI games, I've beaten both and I still regularly play both, so I really know my Kid Icarus!

Hostile Creation, I do that too! with mario sunshine.....

Anyways, that's a very good list. I have most of those games, so I would recommend most. I don't have Wrestlemania though so I can't help you with that. The rest of the list is great though.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Dead Pheonix Canned!?!??!
« on: August 13, 2003, 08:22:14 AM »
Ah and I have both!

Kid Icarus is such a good series, but I don't believe Dead Phoenix looked anything like how I would imagine an updated version. I do think Capcom would be good for that series though. I would really like to play a game that relies heavily on greek architecture and myth.

I'm surprised that Dead Phoenix is cancelled..... it was one of the five gamecube exclusives. I was looking forward to it myself...

Nintendo Gaming / New Super Smash Bros.
« on: July 18, 2003, 07:16:12 AM »
I hope they really change a lot of stuff around in the next installment so it is different than the ones out.............

Melee was changed enough to make me buy it, and I don't see any need in buying something that plays exactly the same if there are only a couple more stages and some new characters................................. unless Pit is playable.... then it's a definite buy.

Nintendo Gaming / Why I'm happy owning only GameCube...
« on: July 15, 2003, 12:11:37 PM »
In a way I'm glad my brother owns a PS2. That keeps the options open for me, but I still prefer my Gamecube. I'm not really interested in GTA and I have never played it even though he has owned GTA 3 for a long time. But I would like to try Devil May Cry sometime.

Nintendo Gaming / Just Finished Eternal Darkness. WOW!
« on: July 11, 2003, 10:32:01 AM »
yeah I got it in November, after I saw an article about it in Gamepro and another one in Nintendo power. Up until then, I barely knew the game existed. I got it for $40, and I would have gladly paid $50 if I knew how good a game it was.

I played through all 3 routes. The first time took me about 20 hours, and the last took me about 4:30. That's because I wanted to see how fast it could be beaten

Nintendo Gaming / simpsons Hit and Run/ Teenage mutant ninja turtles
« on: June 27, 2003, 05:41:37 AM »
I agree with HolyPaladin. Konami must not screw this up.

Judging from the screens, it may look a little difficult to fit all four turtles on screen with all the action, but I don't give a damn. As long as it's optional as to how many additional players we want, I'll be happy.

Nintendo Gaming / Skies of Arcadia questions......

ok, thanks for the tip!

I'll just have to keep that fresh in my mind, until I find a copy of the game I can buy.

Nintendo Gaming / Skies of Arcadia questions......
« on: June 21, 2003, 05:56:28 PM »
Actually does anyone know if Target or K-mart have this game? They are the only places in my town that carry games...................  I really doubt my K-mart would have it, but I'm too lazy to go to Target....it's all the way across town!!

The reason I love this game so much is it has a great story, great music, and it's long. I don't have any friends so it's nice I'll have something to do this summer!

Nintendo Gaming / Skies of Arcadia questions......
« on: June 21, 2003, 05:44:37 PM »
I just recently rented this game (in fact, it just went back today) and I love it! I managed to make it to the executioner at the coliseum, but I'm not sure I'm ready to defeat him. What levels would you suggest my characters be at? Vyse and Aika are both 11 and Drahma (sp?) is 14 I think.

I'm definitely going to buy this game........ I am having so much fun with it.

thanks for the help!

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda getting milked?
« on: June 16, 2003, 11:28:26 AM »
I am also skeptical on Tetra's Trackers, but I don't see the problem with Four Swords.

If they make this game at least 50 hours long, and use a new overworld and everything, I think it will be worthy enough for the zelda series. I mean everyone liked LTTP, think of this as a new, improved, longer version that you can experience with your friends and everything.

Think of it as a full-fledged adventure, and not a simple mini game with 4 (or however many) dungeons that was in the the gameboy version.

I'd have to agree with the guy above me. They really should have cables packaged in with the game.

I have a GBA but I don't know anyone else who has one except my friend's little brother. I don't even have a cable for mine.

The thing is, my gamer friends and I are really looking for some good multiplayer games, and zelda would be really good, so I am looking forward to it, but we all still need to get the right equipment.

« on: May 24, 2003, 09:18:29 AM »
I agree with rpg lover. Viewtiful joe was well worth the 10 bucks. I must have put a good 6 hours into this disc already, and I have still barely played splinter cell.

I think all the games are great..... I still like sonic though.

EDIT: BTW, I'm having trouble getting that 2nd mission in billy hatcher...... explain it again.
