Nintendo Gaming / What do you think of IGN's Top 100 games ever?
« on: May 10, 2003, 09:35:52 AM »
Well, if you read the description of why they put the games in their spots, you might get a better idea of why or why not games made it. (I can probably bet you people just browsed through the list, rather than readng the descriptions)

As pointed it, it was how the game affected the industry of gaming, not just how good it was. And Mario was definitely the game that affected the gaming industry, and he still does. Just goes to show you, that good games last for years, but great games last for-ever.

The best way to figure out which games are the best, are to play them after they've been released for five years. If they still give you that queezy feeling inside, you know the game is great.

Nintendo Gaming / Too human Confusion, help

Man, this game should sell like hot cakes if they advertise it well enough. I think Denis pointed out that the advertising was low for ED, which is why it sold soo poorly. They might spruce up the advertising, now

General Chat / X-2 : The SPOILER I've seen it topic
« on: May 04, 2003, 12:25:34 PM »
*looks up*Yes, Mystique is a very "special" character. Can't keep my eyes off her*looks up*

Any ways, I thought the movie was great. Humans pretty much got their butts whiped, and I think X-3 should return to their mutant vs. mutant style. I'd like the introduction of Sinister and/or Apocolypse in that part. Mainly because those are the two best badass villains next to Magneto.

About Phenoix, they could have it that she's been manipulated to Magneto's/Sinister's/Apocolypse's side into Dark Pheonix, so the X-men gang must duke it out against them. I'd also like Toad and Sabretooth to come back; they didn't officially die in X1, and Sabretooth is Wolverine's nemesis. It's a sad thing that Deathstrike died (I never knew she had healing powers like Wolverine), she kicked ass.

Was it just me, or did the healing process of Wolverine go tooo quick. He's pretty much undestructable.

P.S. Iron blood thing was smart and kick ass.

Well, thanks for the info guys, I knew I wasn't the only one who remembered that footage. I wonder why SK removed it?

I remember a long time ago, I think Spaceworld 2000, that there was FMV video footage of Too Human. I still have remaining pictures of the video, but not the video itself. But the thing that confuses me is that I can't find this video footage on any site anymore. On top of that, most people say footage has never been released. So my main problem is, was this really Too Human footage or am I just getting confused over a game that was cancelled and scraped?

The first thing that hit me were definitely the graphics. To put it in one word.

Amazing.

Campers, stop complaining about them. Camping, as told numerous times before, is a smart tactic (if not the smartest). It allows the person to play on his gorund, where he has already established positioning, rather then wildly running into enemy territory. If you get annoyed by them, simply learn their spots and pick them off, either close up or from a distance according to the weapon they have. And if you cannot deal with that, stop playing on the server. Find another one or make your own. Or simply stop playing humans and play AI.

Which brings me to another point, someone pointed out that playing AI is the same as playing any human on the internet. How wrong you could be. The human mind is much more complex and developed than AI is and ever will be. Humans have the aiblity to memorize and learn your tactics, and adapt to them. AI have a set mode of their abilities and cannot change any more than the programmers will them to. Humans on the other hand adapt, learn, and increase in skill. Humans have an unlimited amount of room to improve, whereas AI's are limited to the progamming they are built on. In addition, you can communicate with humans, whereas computers have built in quotes.

Hacking, is another issue. I think someone pointed it out best. They will always be there, just as there will always be criminals on Earth. The best thing to do is accept it, and fight against it rather than complaining about it.

Just a side note, why is it referred as hacking? There are merely scirpts, whcih modify the game to your advantage.

NWR Feedback / GAMECUBE "SP"
« on: May 01, 2003, 04:55:06 PM »
I think it's too far down the road to make a new Gamecube SP, specially with lo sales as it is now. Gameboy is popular, and Nintendo knew they would make a profit out of it.

Gamecube SP would be a big risk to produce, manufacture, and sell. Sicne Gamecube itself sells slow. Adding a new, slick, system won't do much. Besides most of the Nintendo-fans already have their own systems. Why buy another?

I remember that.....minutes blowing on the damn NES games. But it as friggen worth it.

The info suposedly came from an NOA mod on zeld.com forums.

And I don't think he lied. There was an improvement on Thursday, but the Monday news is still iffy.

Nintendo wouldn't hype us about Sega's line up, that's ludacris (specially when the other systems got good games too).

Either NOA mod choked or.... Nintendo delayed their plans....it's all good though. I can wait till E3.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo not as big as we think?
« on: April 27, 2003, 06:56:08 PM »
*Puts on hard hat, so bashing won't hurt as much*

I am just speculating, but has anyone come to think and sit down that Nintendo might be a big flop because we Nintendo fans keep raving endlessly about the things Nintendo will show at E3? We create so much hype and speculate so much, we ruin half the surprises. All we do is talk about Mario 128, New Zelda, Pokeomn RPG, more Merging, GTA titles, Kid Icarus, Online Gaming, etc. (I can go on, but I'll stop here).

When the day comes and Nintendo doesn't even scrape half of what we have speculated, mutilated, and bashed over 100 times, what will we do? Cry and whine that the show sucked? Yes, that's what we will do. Then we will eventually go on to blame Nintendo for their non-aggressive style, but has it ever crossed your minds that you are the most hardcore of console fans. We know stuff that most Gamecube owners don't.

Just an early warning: If Nintendo isn't as BIG as you think they will be. Don't whine and cry that it sucked, blame yourself for your misery. :-p

Good day, good night, and have a happy May.

Yeah, you're right about the deal. Sony would probably make another deal, but if Rockstar is greedy, they might relese it on all systems for more $$$.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo has something even bigger...
« on: April 26, 2003, 08:27:13 PM »
Whoever looks at the Zelda pic in the NP magazine thiks it is Zelda. But if you are imaginitive as me, you can look at the top portion as a beak, and it is actually a duck. Maybe a MIGHTY DUCK???? Hmmm...Miyamoto would be on crack.

Anyways....

E3 is going to have one big announcement. Don't get your hopes up for  like 100 announcements cuz you ain't going to get that much.

Like Biohazard said before, stop speculating or you're going to ruin all the surprises.
