Nintendo Gaming / Mainstream Media trys to Cover Video Games.
« on: May 30, 2003, 06:07:10 PM »
The report was fine. A normal gamer wouldn't divulge himself as much as we do.

Enjoy what Nintendo offers, and enjoy it until it ends. As long as they deliver the games, I'll be playing those games.

Nintendo Gaming / Biohazard Collector pack

Bah, I dunno. Bought REmake for $50. I wouldn't want to spend another $130 for that and 4 others games, two including ports. I'd pretty much be getting Code Veronica and RE0 for $130, in my situation.

Nintendo Gaming / Resident Evil 4...Going to the next level?

Well, just imagine if this was a new type of creature; maybe not even the main boss. Now I'd be peaing in my pants, when I'm being chased by two of those things, maybe one shaped as Nemesis? Who Knows?

A few additions I'd like is the better use of a knife and "whacking" weapons, such as pistols, crobars, etc. Zombies are extremely slow, and it would be realistic now, if Leon could just run around them and swipe their head and whack them to the ground. This would be extremely usefull to save up bullets. I remember in REmake that after your "safety" knives were gone, one swipe at the zombie and then you'd be being sucked by the Zombie.

Another addition I'd want is less bullets/weapons. Now you might think I'm crazy, but I'm a hardcore gamer, and all I look for is for games to challenge me. What better way for me to have fun then take the shadow-demon-zombie-thinnie on with a knife, crobar, and an empty pistol. Oh man, I can just imagine the carnage.

*Starts drooling and makes his pants all wet. Oh wait, they were wet already. *

Nintendo Gaming / New Nintendo mascots?
« on: May 29, 2003, 03:12:48 PM »
Damn I hate the whole Harry Potter series, ever since day one. I especially hate the fact they make movies for it yearly or so. I jsut watch LOTR instead.

But any ways. I think the perfect mascot for Nintendo would be...............................................................

Uh......................................................
Maybe an electrician? lol j/k...

I have no F'ing idea.

General Chat / The Matrix Reloaded......Anyone seen it?
« on: May 28, 2003, 06:41:10 PM »
I've seen the movie twice by now, but I'll still leave a spoiler mark, although everyone shold've seen it by now.

(SPOILER)

Let's start off with the cons, to just get it over with.

Cons:
-Rave seen was too long. They could've added it in, but it was just too damn long. Fifteen to thirty seconds would've been more than enough. Mixed in with the sex scene, I mean come'on. I was hoping to show this movie to my parents, but now I'll have to pass it by just because of this. (They are real strict when it comes to scenes like this).
-You could see the sometimes NEO was actually CGI
-When you could clrealy see all 100 Agents Smiths, you could tell that some looked different than the original. (That's because they have 6 doubles, and then all 7 were duplicated)
-More Twins. They did not have the Twins in the movie as much as they should have. I mean, I thought they were going to be the main villains.

Pros:
-Best fight scenes I have ever seen to date. I wish they would've used the 360 degree effect like in Matrix I. Agent Smith Fight and Car Chase were the two bests. The sword fighting was also incredible.
-Great Story (Many people I know argued that it was confusing, but I understood it all).
-BIGGEST CLIFF HANAR EVER

I just have one Q. When Neo fights, why doesn't he fight at the speed he flies?

Nintendo Gaming / New Nintendo mascots?

Mario is the only character you see and automatically associate it with Nintendo. Not even Halo has that power with X-Box. I can definitely tell you, every gamer has played Mario one way or the other, NES, SNES, N64, or NGC.

There is no chance they will "replace" him. MARIO IS NINTENDO.

I still think there is some translation error. I don't think Iwata, or even anyone at Nintendo would dump Pokemon and Mario franchises, for some hip new ones. I do beleive we may see additions of some, but Mario will always remain the flagship title that represents Nintendo.

In addition, I don't think Iwata is thriving to become #1, but gain some hold on the console market. I think both Nintendo and Microsoft are upset that PS is owning them, so I think they want to cut back into Sony's lead.

Mikami, don't disappoint me.

Mikami will make you "Pea your pants!"

So don't worry, I believe in Capcom a lot. They've got some real great titles that I'm looking to buy soon (Killer 7, Veitiful Joe, and RE 4).
The REmake was incredible (mostly for the part I enver played the original).  I don't see how they can go wrong with RE 4. Fans have been wanting something full motion and new control style, and they are getting exaclty that. They are also getting one of the most favorite characters, if not the most favorite. And we all know Capcom isn't going to spill all the beans, I'm sure they got some other huge surprises up their sleeve.

Nintendo Gaming / the most disheartening crap i have read.....ever
« on: May 26, 2003, 04:26:30 PM »
Why are you guys so worried. As long as the Capcom 5 come out, what is there to complain about? Who cares if they are exclusive or not, we are still going to buy them and support both Nintendo and Capcom. Which in return, Capcom will make more and better games.

Besides, we have RE4 exclusive, which is expected to be one of the biggest games of 2004.

"You'll pee your pants"

Ah, what  awonderful phrase; hopefully, it doesn't come true for me.

To my point, I think this Resident Evil will be the mature kick that Nintendo needs. It seems a lot like Silent Hill. The thing I like most is the flashlight effect (for anyone who didn't see the RE4 video in E3. When Leon aims, he crosses over a flash light, which releases a blue hue). This will add a whole new dimension to the game because now you can have hidden creatures right in front of you without knowing it, if you aren't using the flash light. Then BAM, you are being sucked on the neck by a zombie. I also think this is a great chance for Capcom to make the control style almost perfect because the game is going to be in full motion. Now, we can finally see a stop from the bickering of all the RE fans that the control scheme sucks (Even though I thought it was perfect). In addition, I'm extatic that Leon is back. RE 2 was the game that got me into the series, and Leon was the character that was my most favorite. Now he is back and ready to kick ass.

Although I only hope Capcom come up with a storyline that won't be repetetive; I want it to be a whole new story. Maybe they can implement everything from RE 0 (Character swapping), RE 2 (different storylines for diff chars), RE 3 (Unsoppable monster that chases you every where).

Bah, you need an appearance from Link, Sonic, Tales, Toad, Shy Guy, Boo, Pikmin Guys, and Monkeys (from Super Monkey Ball).

Let's expand the diversity from Mushroom Kingdom and Donkey Kong. Hey, why not Mega Man!!

Come to think of it, you make a good point.

The funny thing is, when I went back to visit L.A. and my friends, I went straight to playing video games. We ripped out the X-Box, jacked up the Nintendo 64 and strated playing Goldeneye.

Man, the good old days. I need another game like that. (It was also a good single player, but getting every cheat was a bitch).

Nitnendo has a good cash vault. They should try being extravagent and spend some money on advertising.

The worst part is, when they advertise, those commercials suck.

General Gaming / Anyone else think Nintendo had a lame show?

From hearing what everyone said, I think this is how the award show should go:

Winner: Prince of Persia

Join Losers: Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft

that would be the funniest thing.

General Gaming / Game of E3 2003
« on: May 18, 2003, 08:23:40 AM »
Visually stunning game - Definitely Doom III. And if the videos I saw are its gameplay, than hands down my votes go to it. Halo 2 does not even come near Doom III's graphics.

Gameplay/New Innovative game - Mario Kart: DD, this is just a polished port from the N64 version with an innovative two player vehical. Don't get me wrong, I'm still buying the game.

Biggest surprise for Nintendo - Geist (Think it was the only surprise for them)

Best Port - MGS: Twin Snakes, I believe its just a port form the original PSX version, just polished up and more enhancements.

The line-up is great, that show sucked. But E3 is meant to be the show-stopper! Too bad it was not this year.

Although Nintnedo has some part to blame in this too becasue they released a lot of the info before hand. You can't only blame the consumers.

Wasn't I the one who said that overspeculation would result in a big disappointment in E3?

See, maybe when next E3 comes around or Spaceworld, we'll cool are butts and just wait for the show to blow us away, rather than spoil it before hand.

I think someone said it best. Everyone released info about their games before E3; there were no surprises.

The only new thing I never heard about that I saw at the show was Geist. WOOOHOOO. (Sarcasm)

E3 sucked, but the line-ups are still good. <---I think that sums it up best.

Nintendo Gaming / Lack of everything...
« on: May 17, 2003, 06:37:03 AM »
Nintendo should've held off their annoucnements about MGS, Mario Kart: DD, and FF: CC until E3, rather than releasing info before.

The show would've been much more full of surprises then.

I find all 3 pokemon titles useless to me. It's jsut stadium and two other crappy titles. Seemslike the Pika one is gonna be like poke snap. And oen isn't even a game!

And Zelda isn't appealing either. One needs GBA connectivity, which I don't have, and I will never get.

Only a few things even got my curiosity, and that was MGS, Mario Kart, and RE 4. I heard about Killer 7, but haven't seen any previews yet, so I cannot say.

FPS is was united gamers in N64. I can't imagine a game me and my friends played more than Goldeneye.

This FPS game got many hooked on N64. Another major one could push the envelope for Nintendo.

Our family usually donates $$$.

But back on topic. I usually keep all my games, I'm sort of a collector myself.

Although I usually stop playing them after I've beaten the initial quest.
