Could the online capabilities of the 3DS accomodate something like an MMO? This might sound dumb, but I like the idea of taking something like Final Fantasy 11 or Star Wars: The Old Republic on the go.

This may well be possible, but we won't know until at least the September announcement with final hardware features, pricing, and a release date for Japan. I agree that a true portable MMO makes sense and would seem to be one of the most obvious untapped areas in all of gaming right now.

PDP told me at E3 that the mini-Remote has a better IR camera and a better speaker than the stock Wii Remote. Can you comment on either of those? I am curious if the differences are noticeable (longer/wider pointing range, clearer sound).

The possibility of a 2010 release looked very slim from E3 onward. Nintendo has a pretty bad DS lineup for the holidays, but that hasn't stopped them in recent years. They'll probably do a price drop or bundle to keep stimulating DS sales until the 3DS launches.

This is such a weird game. I know a few massage therapists and regularly have massage sessions to help with back and neck problems. Any professional, trained massage therapist will tell you, in no uncertain terms, that massage therapy is not a sexual experience. There is certainly such a thing as sensual massage, but that's something you would practice with your partner in private. When you go to someone's office and pay them for massage, that is not sexual at all. It's more like physical rehabilitation. In my experience, a good, beneficial massage is not pleasurable or even relaxing -- it is usually rather painful at the time and results in soreness for a couple of days after that, because overly tight muscles are being worked to restore blood flow and movement. It is very much like building muscle through weight training -- also not a sexual experience, except for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I was an avid comic reader back when the Scarlet Spider was introduced. I always liked the costume, Ben Reilly's divergent attitude (he's more of an asshole than Peter Parker, but still a good guy at heart), and the slightly different fighting style. Hopefully the game will include Ben's "Impact Webbing" that he designed specially for his suit's web shooters.

I thought FlingSmash was being reworked as a WiiWare title? Or is that how it started? So confusing.

Epic Mickey should be delayed. They need to work on that game's visual presentation.

Good point on Golden Sun. That one seemed to be a lock for this fall. Could still jump out in December.

The new system has an automatic shut-off feature if it detects that the circuit boards are overheating, so it's designed to prevent RRoD from ever happening. It also has the benefit of several iterations of internal circuit designs that are less vulnerable to the original RRoD cause.

So uh... got any nominations? I think we're set for the eventual N64 round, but DS is still wide open. I'm hoping for some esoteric variety and yes, depending on the schedule, I may avoid RPGs or other very long, story-based games. They have proven difficult to work with in this format.

Since I don't own any UMDs, the PSP Go was an exciting prospect for me... until I saw the price. The lack of game availability on the download store is also inexcusable. Luckily, both of these things can still be fixed, and when they are, I will probably pick up the Go.
