Nintendo Gaming / RE:Sony half-assed ripped off Nintendo

They haven't had it very long because they decided to use it after Nintendo's unveiling of the controller.

Yeah...who knows what happened here...Nintendo doesn't want to compete with Sony or Microsoft head-to-head, but Sony just brought the fight to Nintendo's doorstep.  What's the BIG N to do?  Hopefully wake up and start doing some ass kicking.

Nintendo should break out that other secret with...we knew our competitors would try to steal our idea...that's why our other idea after suing them is owning them...

I haven't felt like a ranting fanboy in a while...and I'm usually composed, calm, and objective about things...but that's just plain wrong...what's worse is that the mainstream gamer is going to think Sony brought this controller out...hehehe...

I'll be at Sony's booth talking sh*t...

Anyone think Nintendo can sue over this one???

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam confirmed for Rev

IGN posted some first impressions of the game...the conclusion was that the graphics look like current gen stuff with amazing controls...

Bring in some more freakin' news...I'd be much more happier once we get a real Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

He's still bound to SEGA.  If he was funded by a new company, especially Sony, MS, or Nintendo...then it would be news.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Cheap development costs=more games
« on: May 05, 2006, 02:54:45 PM »
Nintendo's development costs have always been too high for most developers in the N64 era, especially because of the cartridge.  The current generation of GCN was still a bit "pricey" for the same developers, although it was a step in the right direction.  If this article holds any truth, then Nintendo will have finally shed one of its many shortcomings...development costs, which by the way is right up there with bad marketing, bad media storage, and bad naming of consoles.

I'm going to take a day off on Wednesday to enjoy a whole full day of E3.  PGC...where will you be?  I'd be interested to meet some of you...if possible.

I've been waiting for this announcement.  I actually held off on buying a DS because of the announcement for the DS Lite.  Sweet!

Being one of the few Madden NFL fans here in the PGC forums...especially after today's interesting first and second rounds of the NFL draft...I'm psyched up for Wii.  I can't wait to get my hands on this game so I can throw up my review in here just like I did for Madden NFL '06.

Let the smack talkin' begin...

I'm over it now.  I think the IGN podcast on the subject was just so terrible and irritating on the Wii name that I actually began to realize that this name might work.

I can just see it now..."Nintendo fans have little 'wiiwii's...."  Thank you Nintendo for making me defend you a lot harder than it already is...LOL

Well, there goes the shedding of the I LOVE HALO 2 image...it is simply going to be near impossible.  However, maybe after a week, WII will all be singing praises of WII.  WTF am I talking about.

I bought Madden recently Knox...but it was my first one in six generations...that's how long it took Madden  to take a significant enough leap for me to fork out the money for it...

For once I agree with IAN...the experience that Pikmin brought to the table was incredible...I thought it was more of a killer app than Smash Bros. that no one paid attention to.  It really was the one game outside of Metroid Prime that was probably the best single-player experience I've had with the system.  Pikmin 2 came out and eclipsed it and exceeded my expectations.  The one thing better about a twice as powerful REV...is more Pikmin to manage and split into 2 teams.

Vrgin X1...and I just watched "Wizard" with my nephews...cool pic.

Anyway, that's just great...Spongebob...let's make the REV seem like an extension of the "I LOVE HALO 2" GCN.  I was actually very disappointed in the lack of WWE DOR3.  DOR3 is probably the best wrestling game since the AKI's "No Mercy".

I'd never thought I'd say this about rumors...but those sound pretty cool...sounds like everything I've thought up in my head except with an FZERO universe.  Starfox should just be on a long vacation for a couple of console generations...maybe like a retired franchise going to the gaming hall of fame (SNES version).

Nintendo Gaming / RE:THQ Support...
« on: April 21, 2006, 06:17:22 AM »
Looking at Matt from IGN's blogs...we see that he attended a THQ event that featured a demonstration of the controller and a game, which he states he can't write about...

I'm thinking that based on the title "THQ ROCKS"...he was trying to give away hints...maybe a music based game...OR maybe he saw The Rock on a WWE game for REV.  He has pictures of himself and another guy holding the controller saying that it feels really comfortable.

Personally, DOR2 got way more playing time on my GCN since it came out because my nephews enjoyed it so much.  I'm hoping for a DOR3.

Looking for a brand new Nights with the option of playing the original (locked away in the game).

What ever happened to Paradigm...the developer for Pilotwings 64.  I remember that they developed Beetle Adventure Racing for the N64 with EA.  They were good.

Ain't that the truth...Starfox...you can't build on Starfox...but on the flip side of the argument...you get F-ZERO by Sega, now that's a universe you can build on with enough horsepower...or smart level design.

It may just be Pilotwings...

Hudson develops the Mario Party franchise for Nintendo, don't they?  Nintendo is probably continuing the leasing of their IPs to third parties this generation as well.
