I've just poured in 4 hours this morning on Godfather. Throwing people around and slamming them into things is awesome. This game seriously is starting to feel like an RPG with all the upgrades to the character's abilities, as well as having his own little crew following him around. The other aspect is the amount of RESPECT points you can earn by how you dress and how you extort business owners. The gun gameplay works beautifully like 007: Everything or Nothing; however, the pointer when shooting body parts needs to be a little more sensitive.
In terms of graphics, Blackhand Edition is awesome because the entire game world streams--even going in and out of buildings. There's no separate loading screen and room for interior areas...so far at least. The character models look like an advanced GCN game (sans the models from Fight Night and Resident Evil 4). The textures are beautifully done. Pictures on restaurant walls look clear.
Other minor gripes: EA should've made the menus more Wiimote friendly. I've accidentally tried pointing at the menus, which can only be controlled with the analog stick. The GPS map while driving needs to zoom out so you can see if you need to jump on the freeway. Going to the map screen needs to be more intuitive.
CONCLUSION: This game makes True Crime: New York look like crap. Not only is the framerate about a 100 times better than True Crime, the graphics and RPG elements make sense. In terms of the GTA series, no verdict just yet. It doesn't have the variety of the GTA series, but it certainly sticks to the art direction well.
