Hehehe, you never got it in the US. Score one for PAL territories!
Although... We never got FF1, II, III, IV, V, VI, Chrono Trigger, SoulBlazer, Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Lagoon, Chrono Cross, Legend of Mana...

Aw hell.

Look, new avatar! BADGER, BADGER, BADGER, BADGER, BADGER, BADGER, BADGER, BADGER.
Thanks PIAC!

Two new comics thrown into the depths of my site.
And I just got this email;

Quote

We have updated our profile and now it's your turn. Yes we've had a facelift in a few areas but don't panic, it's not like those shockers you see who have changed so much that they no longer look normal. No! We are still real and you still get all the great benefits of being a member of this great site but instead of being a "GameNation" member you are now an "ATARI Member".

WHY?
It's obvious - ATARI is cool. ATARI is what we gamers are all about! ATARI stands for gaming revolution and evolution.
But it's not just a gimmicky name change and a new look. It's a lot more. By being a member and updating your profile now, you:

Get a free PC Game "Driver" when you join and let us know more about you and what you like.
Get the latest news on all your favourite games.
Can win ATARI merchandise.
Get to win heaps of cool prizes through all our great competitions.
Get to be a pro by accessing all the hints and tips for our games.
Get to know about special offers and discounts on games through selected retailers.

So the jerks at Sega Ozisoft who renamed themselves to GameNation have now gone under the Atari name. Just great. Isn't Atari the ones who decided Europe wouldn't get all those GameCube games? Well, now I can understand their lack of support here...

But hell, I'll fill in a few answers for a free copy of Driver. It won't run, but it's free!
I still have a copy of Rally Masters 2000 GameNation sent me last year...

General Gaming / RE: Official Nokia N-Gage Discussion
« on: October 09, 2003, 02:31:45 PM »
Personally, I find the N-Gage to be utter rubbish. I wasn't excited at all while trying out the in-store unit. It was hard enough trying to play it while the unit was held up for you, I can't imagine farting around with it normally.

Not only that, but you NEED TO HAVE A SIM CARD IN THERE TO PLAY THE GAMES. That's quite simply, retarded. So if you decide you want to use another mobile, you'll have to stay on an N-Gage plan just to play your average Puzzle Bobble port (with stuffed up colour glitches).

I don't wish this thing death, I actually do wish Nokia some form of luck. They're going to bloody well need it if their launch games are any indication of what we can expect from this "MATURE 1337 GBA KILLER". -__-

*Also wants some pudding*

Oh yeah, pudding a go-go.
Oh, by the way, Pikkcuber. What was this VJ site? I'm bored, want to looky. =)

Yeah, cool. I'm sure every third party will be quite happy to let Nintendo dominate them again. =/

"Hey Capcom, wanna make games for our next system?"
'Well, yeah.'
"Cool, welp, you've gotta drop all support for Sony and Microsoft's upcoming consoles, then."

*Hates Bit Torrent*
I tried using that two weeks back to download the F-Zero GX soundtrack rip, all in one zip at about 230 MB. Left the net going all night (Auto reconnect after the 4 hour dial up limit thingy)

Later the next day, it was 87% done, AND THE THING DIES ON ME. I COULD NOT RESUME.
*Throws brick at an old lady*

Wowee, Rugby tonight! *Pretends to look interested* =P

And I want Tecmo to call their upcoming Ninja Gaiden game on Xbox, Shadow Warrior in Europe. The 'tards renamed the NES/Master System games 'Shadow Warrior' for no reason at all. YOU CHOSE IT, STICK WITH IT, FOOLS.

*Is angry at nothing*
I need some pie.

Nah, VJ is Capcom. It'll get a decent release here, it's not being published by Game Nation.
Although Capcom recently discontinued RE0 here, it's still pretty easy to get.

Yes, yes, yes!
I can't wait till I get my grubby mits on this game (launches next week here). It's so good to see a company go back to the old school gameplay, but with funky new improvements!

« on: October 08, 2003, 05:28:02 PM »
Well, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! does have fire of some sort, I'm sure there's a Bowser level in there somewhere with lava, too.

Lava = Hot = Nintendo's hottest Christmas game.
*BOOM-TISH!*

My bad rumour senses are tingling!
Final Fantasy VIII alone would take at LEAST two GC discs.

What are you to do with 142 cards? Keep them, then sell them years from now on Ebay. RICH GET!

Yeah, for some reason they cut out all the good videos in the PAL Master Quest disc and replaced it with an old US advert featuring OLD games, and videos for MP and Zelda. Hurray! -_-

Heh, I am so not used to listening to Gunstar Hero's music the way it was meant to be heard. Owning the PAL version, I've gotten quite used to the slower music.
Thanks for the song, though! One of my favorite from the game.

I'll upload a new VG tune to my site this arvo. Dunno what, though. *MYSTERY*!

Got any suggestions?

*Raises hand*
- SOS: Final Escape
One of most original games ever! You're trapped in a big city that's constantly getting struck by earthquakes! Stuff falls over, stuff explodes! Fun! It actually develops into some kinda Metal Gear type story later on, too. Plus it's a budget title!

- Kingdom Hearts
You get to slide down a vine with Tarzan! +100 useless points!
But it's kinda fun, story is nothing to get excited over, but the sheer novelty of walking around all the different Disney cartoons is cool. Now on Platinum, too.

- Activision Anthology
Dunno if you were into Atari 2600 games, but this is a great place to start! Just under 50 games, original TV adverts, an old 80's documentary video on how gaming is getting more and more popular (it's funny, because the big video game crash happened the next year), AND IT HAS PITFALL! =o
Oh yeah, also a budget title. $30 in EB, $50 everywhere else. EB WINS?!

- Silent Hill 2/3
BETTER THAN RESIDENT EVIL. *Hides*
No, really.. If you really want to be disturbed, these games will do it to you. Where else could you go see monsters having sex, or go into a hotel and have the walls go all trippy, and have the place fill up with blood? Outstanding graphics in both games.

- Project Zero (Also known as Fatal Frame)
Another very disturbing game. To the max!
Young teenage girl walking around old haunted Japanese mansion type thing with a camera as your only 'weapon'. Ghosts pop out of everywhere, scream stuff at you, and you've gotta line up the perfect shots as they get closer and closer and closer. You can't run away from them, either. ;____;
*Almost had a heart attack playing this game*

Um.... I think that's enough of my PS2 love in this thread.

Yeah, we get the option of playing in 50Htz OR 60Htz. THAT ALONE IS WORTH A BA-JILLION DOLLARS!
If you set VJ on 50Htz, it'll ALWAYS be SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

BUT WHERE ARE THE CD-i GAMES? I AM CRUSHED.
I'm looking foward to this disc *SHOCK*, and I have no doubts Nintendo will release it by itself. Either that, or we can count on trusty EB selling it seperatly for insane amount of money ++!
